felix walked back into his room to see chan still sitting in the same exact place. he looked slightly distressed, but he really had not moved.

"s-sorry about that..." felix stuttered out.

"was he angry? does he hate me even more now? did i just ruin things for you? what-" chan rattled off before felix stopped him.

"chan, he's not angry and he doesn't hate you." felix spoke calmly.

"what? he doesn't?" chan asked with a confused expression on his face.

"of course not. you two used to be such great friends, he could never hate you." felix smiled at the latter who slowly began to smile as well.

"lately it seemed as though he could hate me... i don't really blame him for that either." chan shrugged, "i jumped to conclusions about him, i should've known..."

"known what?" felix asked innocently.

"i should've known he had a reason to end things with you beyond just being attracted to hyunjin. him and hyunjin always would jokingly flirt, everyone knew that... it would honestly be weird if the two of them liked each other for real." chan explained to the latter.

"i don't understand," felix shook his head, "because they flirt it would be weird if they liked each other?"

"it would be weird if they were suddenly serious about it. changbin just used that as an excuse though. he never liked hyunjin, he always has been in love with you." chan stated in a matter of fact type of way.

"not always, he hasn't always known me." felix smiled as he let out a soft giggle.

"for as long as he's known you, he has loved you." chan corrected himself.

"chan i" felix began to speak, but was cut off by the rest of their friends bursting through the door.

"you don't need to apologize felix, i know that's what you were about to do." chan whispered to felix before standing up and leaving his bedside, giving the seat up for changbin to sit in.

changbin smiled at chan as he sat down and gave a slight nod as a sign of thanks. as for jisung, he came running in and jumped on felix's bed, tackling the boy in a hug as he did so.

"jisung, i-- i can't breathe." felix gasped for air.

"whoops, sorry." jisung laughed as he adjusted himself so he wasn't crushing felix's lungs.

"when do you get out of this place?" jisung asked as he looked around the room.

"i get out soon, real soon. i have a screening in a few days that will assess whether or not they think i am fit to go home." felix explained to his friends.

"good, i've missed you at school." jeongin smiled at the latter.

"yeah right, you've definitely been too busy with hyunjin." felix snorted, and instantly jeongin began to frown.

"no innie, i didn't mean it in a bad way. i'm glad that the two of you are happy. are you guys finally dating?" felix wiggled his eyebrows at the two boys, and both hyunjin and jeongin's faces turned bright red.

"felix!" jeongin shouted.

"bokkie, you're embarrassing them." changbin laughed.

"bokkie? do we have another couple on our hands?" hyunjin asked teasingly.

"another couple? so you two are dating!" changbin cheered victoriously.

"uh no-- i meant besides minho and jisung..." hyunjin explained as he scratched the back of his neck nervously.

"no you didn't." jisung laughed, "you definitely meant you and jeongin. just the other day i heard you two talking about when to tell the rest of us you're dating."

"the other day!? we starting dating yesterday!" jeongin blurted out.

"gotcha! you guys may think i'm dumb, but i just outsmarted you jeongin." jisung said with a sense of pride.

"i never thought you were dumb jisung." minho said as he walked over to scoop up his boyfriend into his arms.

"lies, you always call me dumb." jisung slapped the latter's hands away, and cuddled on tighter to felix.

"in a loving way!" minho insisted.

"yeah, yeah," jisung rolled his eyes, "case closed now though. jeongin and hyunjin are in fact dating!"

"way to let us tell everyone." hyunjin said sarcastically as he rolled his eyes.

"it's not my fault jeongin fell for my little trick." jisung shrugged as he snuggled into felix's side.

"you're very cuddly today, and it's not with minho for once." felix laughed as he held onto jisung tightly.

"yeah instead it's with you." changbin sighed.

"is someone jealous?" seungmin asked, both changbin and chan picked up their heads.

"i guess two someone's are jealous." seungmin rolled his eyes as he moved away from chan and over to hyunjin and jeongin. chan just returned to staring into his lap like he was before seungmin had said anything.

"i'm not jealous, felix and i are just friends!" changbin explained, not knowing those words would hurt felix.

i don't want him to be jealous... but in a way i do? felix thought to himself, i just want him to care about me the way he used to...

"yeah right, and i'm not kim seungmin." seungmin scoffed.

"then i guess your real name isn't kim seungmin. felix and i aren't dating!" changbin continued to say.

"whatever changbin, we know you're in love with him." minho cut in, "doesn't matter if you're dating or not, feelings are definitely still there."

"shut up..." changbin groaned, knowing it was true.

"and felix is still in love with you," jisung stated and then paused for a moment, "i just heard his heart rate quicken when i said that."

"jisung!" felix pushed the boy off of him, making jisung fall onto the ground.

"ow... you bitch!" jisung grunted in pain.

"awe jisung, are you okay?" minho asked as he knelt down at the boy's side.

"i'm still not cuddling you, i'm mad at you." jisung turned away from minho as he still stayed there sitting on the ground.

"why are you mad at minho?" changbin laughed.

"he didn't buy me coffee this morning, but he bought it for himself! isn't that rude!" jisung shouted.

"you said you didn't want any!" minho yelled back.

"I THOUGHT YOU WOULD STILL BUY IT FOR ME!" jisung raised his voice louder than minho's, and the two continued to bicker back and forth, amusing the rest of their friends.

"so glad we're not like them." changbin said as he reached over and squeezed felix's hand.

"i think in some ways we are." felix shrugged.

"how so?"

"we don't say what we truly want..." felix rattled off before really thinking about it, "i mean... i guess we're not like them though. we're just friends, right?"

"oh- uh... yeah, yeah right we are." changbin nodded, cursing himself for his word choice from the earlier conversation.
