Lyon POV

I chuckle as the cigar hung from my lips, Luffy was yelling on how great of a pirate he was going to be when he got older & how he was gonna beat Shanks & I, I merely just rolled my eyes. Its been at least a few days since we arrived on Dawn Island & we've grown quite a liking to the town, although I found out that Luffy's grandfather was Garp, I still grew fond with the young boy

Recently he tried proving himself manly by stabbing a dagger right under his left eye, which caused all of us to flip out. I shook my head as I leaned against my arm for support & watched Luffy trying not to cry

"What you did back there kid, was hella scary & risky, don't do that again." I said with a stern tone, he just pouted

"But didn't I prove myself?"

"You proved that you were a reckless moron." I was then flicked in the back of the head while Shanks laughed

"Don't be mean to Luffy, he's just trying to impress you two. Cut him some slack please." I sighed while she giggled & she then continued to stroke Sil's head while he was in his original form

"Come on Shanks, Lyon! My punches are as strong as pistols!"

"Oh really?" we both say trying to act impressed

"What's with that tone?!" he yelled at us, everyone in the room hollered in laughter while Luffy stood their confused & angry at the same time

"I'd let you come with me if you weren't a burden kid, your just to small & can you even swim?" I ask as I put the cigar out

"No, but if I do learn, will you take me out to sea with you?! Even just once!" everyone was looking at me while Luffy gave me puppy eyes, I sigh & look away with a blush rising to my cheeks

'Oh jeez, I remember when I use to make that face...' I thought to myself

"Argh, maybe, but I don't keep promises."

"Yay!" now he was jumping around like he was high on sugar, now Sil slid next to me

"You don't plan on taking him with us, do you?" he whispered into my ear, I shook my head

"Not a chance, let's just hope when he's learning to swim he just sinks like an anchor. Like devil fruit users."

"That's a little harsh don't you think?"

"I'm just being honest." that was when the door was kicked open & all of our attention went towards the entrance, I raise an eyebrow. Standing at the entrance was a rather lean & tall man with brown skin, black hair & beard & he had a X like scar right above his right eyebrow

"Ohoho, so these are pirates? They look like idiots."

"& you look like a clown..." I muttered, Shanks & Makino seemed to have heard so they let out a quiet laugh, it caught his attention

"You think something's funny?" I spun around & gave him a weird look through my glasses

"Define funny, bandit." he growled at me & was suddenly in my face

"You pirates sail the sea like headless chickens, waiting to my sunken by Marines & rot at the bottom of the sea with piranhas eating at what's left of you."

"You do know that piranhas are freshwater fish & they only swim in lakes & rivers, right?"

"Lyon-san is right, plus it'll be a sea king that'll get to us first." Benn said, everyone started laughing while his face turned red, I was suddenly grabbed by the collar & a wanted poster was shoved into my vision

"My name is Higuma & my bounty is 8.000.000 beli!" I grab his wrist & just as I was going to break it, Shanks pushed us aside

"Now that's enough, don't you think so, chief?" I let out a huff before sitting down again

"That's right kid, you better back down."

Third Person POV

Everyone heard him growl as he turned around & lit another cigar, Makino then asked politely what the bandit wanted & he asked for about 10 (I think that's right) barrels of sake but she politely, again, told them she had ran out

"Run out? Then what are they drinking? Water?"

"No sir, they're drinking what's left of t-the sake." Sil started to growl when he sensed the aura around Higuma start to darken, Shanks then sighed

"How selfish we are, not even saving a drop of sake for you people." he exclaimed, Leo watched as Shanks gave Higuma a half drunken bottle of rum "Here, take the last bottle as an apology from me." what happened next was so unexpected as he smashed the bottle on Shanks

"What do you take me for?! A fool??" he fell off his stool & onto the ground, Higuma then smirked & dumped Shanks' food on him (Shanks, obviously)

"Hey!" Benn & Leo stood up from their seats & glared down at the bandit, Leo grabbed him by the collar & glared down at him

"How DARE you d--" he was cut off when he saw, from the corner of his eye, Shanks left his arm up "but--"

"That's enough Leo, calm down please." Leo reluctantly let Higuma go & sat back down in his seat, Benn did the same but now the two were glaring daggers at him

'To hell if I'm letting him get off that easily.' he smirked again before walking out, Leo growled then let out a sigh when Shanks burst out laughing

"You really got beaten Shanks!"

"How shameful!" Leo shook his head but cracked a smile as both he & Sil laughed along with them

"How could you?!" everyone looked at Luffy as he glared at Shanks "How could you let him beat you?! I thought you were strong Shanks!!"

"Oh come on Luffy, there are going to be times that you don't fight back. If someone insults me, I could care less. You just shouldn't fight unnecessary fights."

"That's dumb!" Luffy complained as he goes to walk away but Shanks grabbed his wrist, Leo's eyes widened as his cigar fell his lips when he saw Luffy's arm… stretch

"WHAT THE?!?!" he looks back at the chest beside him & saw that it was open & the purple devil fruit that was inside it was gone

"Luffy! Did you eat a purple fruit that was inside this chest?!" Lucky Roo asked him

"Yeah I did, it tasted horrible." Leo still had a shocked face along side Silver when he whispered something to his feline friend

"Well at least he won't be able to swim anymore."

"You bloody jinxed him." he shrugged

"I wasn't expecting him to eat a devil fruit so soon." their attention went back onto Luffy & Shanks & saw that Luffy's jaw dropped to the ground

"NO WAY!!"

"YOU IDIOT!!"
