Hop Pop took us to harvest berries for food. Anne gasped. "What was that?" Anne wondered. "Did you guys see that?" "See what?" I asked as I what she was talking about. "Oh, nevermind, I saw." I followed Anne to help her investigate. We looked behind some bushes to see what looked like a plant monster. I gasped and Anne accidentally swallowed a butterfly, which scared the creature. "Wait, come back, you're so cool." Anne said. "There you are, girls." Hop Pop said. "You guys just missed it." I explained. "What, Anne barfing up a butterfly?" Sprig asked. "Nah, we totally saw that." "No, no, there was this magical creature made of moss." I continued. "It was beautiful." Anne added. They laughed at us. "Good one, guys, saw the old Moss Man, huh?" Sprig asked. "Yeah, that sounds about right." Anne replied. "Girls, the Moss Man's a myth." Hop Pop explains. "Only crazy people and gullible tadpoles believe in it." "Wait, you're telling us that you guys have giant fire-breathing beavers and mutant centipedes, but you don't believe in this?" I asked. "Well, yeah, we've seen those." Sprig replied. "Look, your world might have stuff like flying machines and magic memory boxes, but we don't have stuff like that here, this is just a normal town." "You're talking frogs!" Anne exclaimed. "Nevermind, I'm done talking about it."
"I'm not done talking about it!" Anne shouts as we got back to town. "Still?" Polly scoffs. "Anne and I both saw it." I added. "Careful girls, you keep ranting and raving, you'll put One-Eyed Wally out of a job." Hop Pop joked. "They totally do sound like Wally." Sprig added. "You take that back!" Anne gasped. "We aren't weirdos like Wally." "Yeah, we are strong, sane women who saw the Moss Man." I added. "So, you've seen the Moss Man too?" Wally asked. "I've seen it once, deep in the moors where it makes it's home and feeds on mist, skin of moss it had, took me hand clean off." "You have both your hands, Wally." Anne said. "Lefty, when did you get back?" Wally asked himself. The Plantar's cackled. "Stop it!" Anne snapped. "I know it sounds crazy when he says it, but we both saw it." "Whatever you say, One-shoed Anne and Rowena." Polly joked since we both had only one shoe. "Oh, I get it, like One-Eyed Wally." Sprig laughed. "You two might as well learn the accordion." Hop Pop cackled. "And sleeping under bridges." The Plantar's and Wally left laughing, but Sprig decided to cheer us up. "Guys, I believe you..." Sprig said. "Thank you!" I exclaimed. "...dreamt it, I believe you dreamt it." Sprig continued. Anne yelled.

Anne was moving around in the middle of the night. I got up from my bed and woke her up "Anne, wake up!" I exclaimed as she jumped. "You were having a nightmare." "C'mon." Anne said. "Where are we going?" I asked as we both got dressed.
Normally, I would need a lot of coffee in my system, but seeing Anne in bed had me worried. She dragged me into the town square and we saw Wally playing his accordion. "Angel of death!" He exclaimed. "You've come for me at last!" "What, no, Wally, it's Anne and Rowena." I said as we put our hoods down. "So it is, deja vu, you've jumped me before." Wally replied. "Listen, you said that you know where the Moss Man lives, take us there so we can snap a pic of it, prove we're normal, and never be associated with you ever again." Anne explains. "No offense." "Okay." Wally agreed. "Please, we just got people to stop calling us the town monster." Anne begged. "Anne, Wally said he'll come." I said. "Oh, thanks." Anne thanked. "But, the journey will be fraught with peril." Wally explains as he played his accordion again. "Hopefully he doesn't play that thing the whole way." I said.
But he did. For 8 hours straight. "Okay, that's enough." Wally said. "Thank goodness!" I groaned. "Or is it?" He asked and played it some more.
He told us his life story about how he got his accordion. "Anyway, enough about me, tell me about yourselves." He said. "Hard pass, that's kinda personal and you're basically an unstable stranger." Anne replied as she misstepped and almost fell to her death, but Wally and I saved her. Anne dropped her phone, but Wally luckily saved it with his tongue. "Wally, you saved my phone." Anne said. "Saved your phone?" I asked. "He saved your life." "Don't mention it, love." Wally replied. "I know how much this thing means to you." "Oh, thanks." Anne thanked. "Now let's hurry up and get that photo."
Later that night, we decided to teach Wally a secret handshake we came up with back home. "I'll never shake hands the normal way again." Wally said. "My other friends used to think that my elaborate handshakes were silly, except for Rowena." Anne explains. "It's true." I added. "Well, there's your first mistake, love." Wally said. "I never care what other people think of me." "Easy for you to say, back home, your reputation is everything." I explained. "Well, lucky for you, your not back home." Wally said. Anne and I looked confused. "Girls, the way I see it, you've got a great opportunity in front of you, whole new world, new people, free to be whatever you want." "That's kinda genius, Wally." I complimented as Wally fell asleep. I smiled as Anne grabbed a blanket for him.

In the morning, Wally lead the way to the Moss Man's habitat. "We've finally made it, The Misty Moors." Wally announced. "Time for the Moss Man summoning ritual." Wally played his accordion again for the ritual. "Are you sure this is gonna work?" Anne asked as a similar butterfly to the one she swallowed flew by. "Butterflies!" Anne grabbed my hand and followed the butterflies. We bumped into something, it was the Moss Man. It ran off before we could get a picture, but we ran after it. The mist disappeared, along with the Moss Man. "Where'd it go?" Wally asked. "Aw, dang mist." Anne replied. "We lost it again." I added. "I just can't believe it's actually real." Wally said. "I know, right?" I asked. "Wait, what!" "I thought it was a myth." Wally explains. "I mean, it's preposterous." "So you took us all the way out here based on a lie?" Anne asked. "Yeah, I mean, we had fun, though, didn't we?" Wally asked. "That's not the point, we could've easily gone back with no proof." I replied. "And then everyone would think we're like you." Anne added. Wally frowned. "What's so bad about being like me?" Wally asked as he left us. "Wally, that's not what I meant, I'm sorry." Anne apologized. "It's cool that you don't care what people think about you, and I'm glad you came out here with us." "You mean it?" Wally asked. We nodded. "Now let's go get a pic of that Moss Man, together." I said. We saw it in the distance and we followed it, but we were stuck at a dead end. "Good thing we both did bouldering club at school." I said. We climbed up the boulder, but Wally was struggling as the part he was holding onto broke. "Wally!" We shouted. "I'll be fine, just take the picture." He replied. Anne and I saved Wally and were about to get the picture, but it was gone. "It's gone." Anne whispers. "And the trail is gone too." I added. "You lost your one chance to get proof and it's all my fault." Wally pouted. "Now everyone is going to think you're as loony as I am." "You know what, I'm good with that." I said. "Me too." Anne added. "Wait, really, what a turnaround." Wally commented. "We know what we saw, and a good friend once told us that it doesn't matter what other people think of you." Anne explains. "That's a good line." Wally complimented. "Would your friend mind if I used it?" "It was you, Wally." I reminded him. "Yeah." He cackled. "I know."
Back in town, Wally told the story to the rest of the town. Of course they were asking for proof, of course we didn't have it, but we didn't care. The Plantar's found us. "Anne, Rowena, we heard people at Stumpy's say that you're as weird as Wally." Polly explains. "You guys must be pretty upset." Sprig added. "Honestly, guys, we're both fine." Anne scoffed. "You don't have to be strong for us." Hop Pop said. "No, seriously, we're fine." I replied. Hop Pop started comforting us and then we started messing with them by acting like Wally. "They're deranged!" Polly shouts the whole way back.
