《STRAWBERRY WINE -corpse husband-》WINE (26)

Madison got to Corpse's apartment later than usual. She used the keycode to let herself in, like she had done so many times before.
She didn't see Corpse in the living room or kitchen, opting for his youtube room instead. She set her stuff down in his room before going to find him.
He was sitting in front of his computer, song playing from the loud speakers. His head was bobbing along to the beat.
Madison snaked her arms around his shoulders, announcing her presence.
"Hey," she said softly, kissing his head.
Corpse kissed her arms, looking back at her with a goofy smile. "Hey," he said happily, head still moving to the music.
Madison smiled at him, amused. "Little tipsy, bub?"
"Yeah! Just a little..." he took another long drink from his tall wine glass. "You drinking tonight, Maddie?"
Madison detached herself from him, grabbing the empty glass that sat next to his full one. "Yeah," she commented, pouring more than enough wine in her glass and taking a long drink. She hadn't had alcohol in nearly two months, but she forgot how sweet Corpse liked his red wine.
Sitting on his lap while he worked on his music, they continued to drink, giggling every so often to each other.
"I have my fucking face on a fucking hoodie, Madison Blair," he said again.
"I fucking know it, Corpse Husband."
Corpse showed her the layout of the inactive website, going into more detail than necessary about every product. Madison loved to watch him passionate about something, especially when he was properly drunk. He over explained every detail, down to the way they were doing the acid wash on the hoodies.
"I can't wait to see you walking around in my fucking hoodie," Corpse said darkly, his face nearly touching hers.

"I can't wait to wear it," Madison responded, closing the gap between them. They kissed for awhile, tongues tasting the wine staining their lips. The nearly edited track played in the background, egging them on.
From where Madison was sitting bridal style in his lap, he moved her up and onto his desk. She was taller than him slightly, but still completely attached. Madison kept her hands tangled in his curly hair, keeping his lips on hers while his hands ran down her sides. He slid his hands under her shirt, rings cold against her hot skin. She gasped, her head tilting towards the ceiling, leaving an open space for Corpse. He nibbled and sucked hickies onto her neck, hands continuing to rub her skin.
She tilted her head back more, losing her balance, and having to push her hands back behind her for stability. In the process, she knocked over both glasses of wine, thankfully not spilling any on the equipment but instead on Corpse's clothes.
Madison giggled as he looked down at his now stained clothes. "I.... I spilled wine all on your white tee," she laughed loudly at her own joke.
Corpse rolled his eyes, and smiled lovingly at her.

With their legs tangled together, they cuddled tightly in bed, Corpses fingers running through Madison's wet hair.
"Corpse?"
Their shower had sobered her enough to remember why she came over in the first place.
"Yes, love."
"Christmas Eve..."
Corpse knew what she was insinuating. She felt his breathing stop against her chest.
"We don't have to do anything or go anywhere... we can treat it how we treated Thanksgiving... just another day," Madison suggested confidently, trying to reassure him that she didn't mind the decision they made.
Corpse sighed. He hadn't celebrated a holiday since he was 16 and living with his parents. He tried to avoid all mentions of them like it was the plague. It was hard for him to get excited about things that he had never experienced positively. But he knew Madison loved this time of year. He had heard stories of her annual holiday vacations with her parents, and her experiences as a kid with her stocking and Santa. It was sweet, but it horrified him.

He stayed silent for longer than she probably expected him to, but he needed to think. The alcohol in his system made decision-making a challenge.
What was the harm in it? What could go wrong? A quiet Christmas, with his girl, in his apartment...
"We can do it," Corpse said. "Like... Christmas tree and presents, and whatever else you want... I don't really know."
"Really?" Madison confirmed, shock evident in her tone.
Corpse kissed her forehead, the excitement nearly spilling from her. He smiled, knowing he made the right choice. "Yes, baby. Really."

Curiosity Killed The Imp
A/N: On hiatus (higher priority). The story is planned out but I need to do some rewriting for clarity and cohesiviness. Still very interested in the story though. Aeris is a place of endless conflict. Bloody evolution is the way forward, and the closed fist is the path given. Life is a luxury granted only to the strong. In a tiny corner, at the edge of a volcanic land, is born an imp. An imp no different from any other save one thing. An anomaly in its code. A blip in its creation. For unlike other imps, this one was born…curious. Book Cover by Betty Elgyn: https://www.deviantart.com/bettyelgyn

Now the world and cultures of Neolys must face their ancient past. A story of suffering, the intimacy it creates, and the will to fight against those who try to redraw the place you call home. The many characters in Neolys must unite and struggle against The Far Away Dream. Is a world of suffering worth fighting for? Is it insanity to fight for what hurts you? (I am in the process of rewriting/refurbishing this long story from one I wrote long ago and saved on my computer, into first person. I abandoned it many years ago. It will take time to figure everything out again and make the right changes. The Prologue/first chapter is supposed to be in third person)

Will a dream break Aaron down and destroy him? Or will it build him up to be even stronger to find out how his sister went missing? And possibly, what or who may have murdered her?
