I was seated in the same cafeteria where Sekani and I had lunch the day we dropped him here.

I decided to dial Sekani's number, I've missed his so much and I haven't spoken to him in a long time as I lost his contact but it's a good thing I memorized it.

"Hello ?" Warmth filled my mind as I heard Sekani's voice from the phone.

"Hi Sekani."I could hear him gasp from behind the phone.

"Skai !!! Is that you, where have you been, I've been trying to reach you and Mom came here and why do you have a new num....." I cut him off so we could talk more about it face to face.

"Why don't you come over to your school's cafeteria so we could talk about it ?" I smiled knowing how surprising it would be to him that I'm here.

"What ?! You're here ?" He sounded so happy but confused.

"Yes muron, just meet me at the same cafeteria you fell in love with steaks." I teased him remembering how he devoured two plates of steaks here, I wonder if he still eats like a beast.

"I'm on my way !" He hung up and I smiled at the phone as I took it off from my ear.

I took a seat by one of the tables, I wedged the side of my head with my hand as I rested it on the table while I fondled with my phone on the table.

My phone rang and it revealed Drake's caller ID, I declined it immediately. He has been calling me since I left the station.

After a while, a familiar figure appeared, he was wearing the biggest smile ever. He looked a little different maybe because it was the little moustache that was growing on his face.

He rushed over and hugged me, he didn't let me stand up he just wrapped me with his hands while I sat.

"Skai, you just blacked out on me !" He said still hugging me as I could feel his breath in my hair.

"I'm so sorry Sekani,lot of things happened or should I say are happening." He let go of me and took a seat beside me, he peered into my eyes with a serious look. I've really missed my baby brother.

"Skai, no matter how hard and messed up things got in here,I always dialed, texted and thought about you so that's not an excuse." He looked a little angry but he was right,problems shouldn't make you forget family and that's what I did to him.

"Oh Sekani, don't be like that. Okay I'm so so sorry."I put my arms on his shoulder and shook his body slightly.

He didn't respond,he was still looking straight into thin air with a serious face then an idea hit me.

"Okay how many steaks would you like to have ?" I smirked knowing I just hit his weak point.

He was trying to keep a straight face but he eventually gave up to the smile that was curling up on his face.

"One please !" He turned towards me with a charming smile.

"One ?! A whole Sekani is settling down for only one piece of steak ?" I was surprised he wasn't asking for more because Sekani as we know him, he's one heck of a foodie.

"I have a diet to keep fit." I gave him an impressive look as I got off the chair.

"So who called you fat ?" I teased him as I made my way to the counter where I could place my order.

As I approached the counter my phone buzzed in my hands. I took a glimpse at it, it was multiple texts from Drake.

I rolled my eyes and stuffed the phone in my pocket as I paved my way to the counter.

After a while, I got the plate of steak and walked back to our table. Sekani's face lit up with a smile as his gaze fell upon the steak.

"Now that's good food." He said as I settled down beside him. I took out the cutlery for him to use.

"No I don't need that." He gave me a disgusted look as he held the steak in his hands and tore it with his teeth.

"Oh wow, when I thought you were refined." I teased him as I cut a piece of the steak with the cutlery and tossed it into my mouth.

"By the way, why did you change your number ?" He asked me with meat in his mouth which made some pieces fall out.

"I lost my phone." I said briefly as I put my phone back in the table.

He dropped the steak on the plate and pushed it aside. He wiped his hands with a serviette and tossed it in a nearby bin.

"Okay Skai what's up, you never misplace things much more your phone."He pointed at my new phone that was on the table.

"Sekani, things hasn't been rosy. Andre is out to get me." My voice was now low as I spoke to Sekani.

"Don't you think I know that ? That's why I've been reaching out to you."My eyes widened and I rested my hands on his arm.

"How did you know that ?" I wonder how he knew that I was being terrorized by Andre.

"C'mon the guy was threatening us when I was still with you and he wouldn't stop now, so there's a high possibility he's still acting up." He was right about that, Andre has always been chasing me since I broke up with him and he wouldn't stop anytime soon.

"So what did he do this time ? Did he hurt you ?!" He looked pissed as he ran his hands through my face to see if I was hurt.

"Nothing, he just harasses me." I didn't want to go into detail because I wanted to just have a sweet evening with my brother.

"Would you call spraying your house with blood just harassing ?" My eyes widened in shock hearing those words from Sekani's mouth.

"Wh-what how did you know ?" I asked him as I sat up in my seat.

"Mom visited you just after she visited me, do you think she wouldn't give me feedback ? Skai why are you hiding things from me ?" He asked me with a sad expression because we tell each other everything and know I'm keeping him in the dark.

"I don't want your focus to be on me instead of your studies. I don't want to be a bother." I explained to him and I looked down on my thighs in shame.

"You're never a bother, I love you so much and I'd love to be there for you at all times even if I'm far away. Look...." He put his arms around me and put me in a side hug,then I rested my head on his shoulders.

"Look things are gonna be hard but you gotta let me in on what's bothering you okay ?" I nodded at him slowly in agreement to what he said.

"Now it sucks that you're handling Andre alone ." He began stroking my hair as he spoke.

"Well I haven't been alone, someone has been of great help." I detached myself from his arms and sat upright.

"Oh Becky ?!" He guessed with one of his brows arched.

"Yeah a little but not her." I said as I rested my arms on the table.

"Mike ?!"He guessed again this time he was smiling awkwardly.

"No idiot! My new boss, Drake Johnson." I told him as my smile evolved into a straight face remembering the bad thing he did to Monica's daughter in the past.

"Wait ?! The business tycoon that own Johnson's Empire ?, the same guy who bought half of the industries in America? The same guy who graduated from this school as the overall best student with highest GP in the history of this school ?!" He was in a high state of euphoria as he threw those questions at me.

Even though I didn't know Drake did all of that I just nodded my head to the questions.

"Wow, you just hit jackpot sis ! So....."He was twirling his hands forward expecting me to say something and I knew where he was going.

I looked around the cafeteria and people were beginning to leave making Sekani and I the only one here.

"I think we should leave now, they're closing." I told him as I stood up from my chair and he did the same.

"Girl spill !" He pestered me as we walked out of the canteen.

"There's nothing between us, he just felt the need to take care of me probably he's trying to be a good Samaritan." I rolled my eyes with an annoyed expression.

"Sis, no guy acts nice to a girl for no reason, don't be surprised if you get asked on a date." He slapped my shoulder while smirking.

"Even if he does, my answer would be a big NO." I walked faster than him feeling a little annoyed because thoughts from this afternoon flooded my mind.

"Okay, what's wrong ?" He caught with me as he stood in my way to stop me from walking.

"He's a jerk! He's mean,cold, arrogant and not to mention he's also a psycho." I blurted out those words pointing my fingers into an empty space.

"And ?" He said expecting me to say something in addition to the things I just said.

"Nothing, what else do you want me to say." I gave him a clueless look.

"Skai, you spoke with so much anger and annoyance, knowing you so well there's still something bugging you about him, so vomit it." He smirked at me, I don't know why I was annoyed, maybe it's because he's smiling while I'm boiling or because he knows me so well that I can't hide anything from him.

"And he did something stupid in his past, can you believe he made his ex girlfriend abort their baby ?"I pressed my palms into my eyes at the thought of it.

"Skai, come here." He gestured me to sit with him on a bench by the sidewalk.

"Skai, this guy has taken you in and showed you care, yeah he has made mistakes in the past, maybe it isn't what it seems or looks like just hear him out. Don't just rush into conclusions and lose the good people in your life." He sat sideways so he could get a good view of my face as she spoke.

I couldn't say anything and I didn't want to because I wasn't going to take his advice because I'm too disappointed in Drake to look at him the way I used to.

"I know I'm talking to blocked ears now but seriously think about it."He said as he looked up to have a view of the sky that was orange in colour due to the sunset.

My phone rang again, I took the phone out angrily about to decline the call until I saw it was Becky.

"Girl, where on Earth are you ?!" She screamed into my ears which made me put the phone away from my ears.

"In my arms !" Sekani said into the phone with an awkward laughter.

"Sekani ?!" She sounded so confused and angry.

"Yeah I decided to see him." I said calmly into the phone as I brought it close to my ears.

"Babe, everyone is worried sick about you! We taught Andre has abducted you again !" She still had her voice in a high pitch making my ears bleed.

"I'm okay, I'd be on my way now." I told her calmly as I trailed my fingers into my hair.

"Oh that's not safe! You...." She was ready to start another dose of scolding but Sekani cut her as he took the phone from her.

"Don't worry, I'd make sure she gets home in safe hands so bye Becky and I love you."He cut the call and handed my phone back to me.

"Thank me later." He said as I took the phone from him with a disturbed look.

"You shouldn't have cut her like that besides how do I get home now ?" I put the phone into my jacket's pocket letting out a stressed sigh.

"Sis you gotta stop stressing over little things now look at you, you look 35 because you worry too much." He teased me as he brought out his phone from his jacket.

"Haha so funny, who are you calling ?" I said with a straight face looking down at his phone.

"Mike." My eyes widened and I grabbed the phone from his hands.

"Are you insane ?! Mike ?!" I exclaimed as I put the phone behind me.

"That's the only way you can get home safely besides he visits me everyday so today is one of those days ." He said putting his hands out to get his phone back.

"He visits you this late ?" I gave him an annoyed expression as I put his phone farther away from him.

"No, I told him not to come today but I'd have to change that because of you." He got up to have a stronger edge over me to get his phone.

I stood up and gave a good gap between us so he wouldn't get it easily.

"When did you guys become so close ?" I looked at him from head to toe with a clueless look.

"Since he proved to be a good friend,he works close by and he doesn't hesitate to drop by and calm me down during the times you blacked out on me." I dropped my hand that was holding his phone at the realization that Mike was there for Sekani when I was gone and that must have really affected him.

He took the phone from my hands and dialed Mike's number then put the phone close to his ears while I took my seat on the bench.

"Hey Mike, what's good ?" He cheered with a wide smile as he spoke, I used to be the only one who made Sekani smile that way but now I shared that with Mike.

"Can you come over ? I need you to pick something up." He turned over to look at me giving me a naughty smile.

"Don't worry you'd see it when you come, I'd be at the car park." He ended the call and put the phone in his back pocket.

He walked towards me and squatted in front of me. He folded his hands and rested them on my knees giving me a warm smile as he looked up at me.

"Skai, you really need to open up and let people help you. You can't do it all by yourself. " He ruffled my hair which made me shield my head and put his hand down.

"Sekani, I'm really sorry for blacking out on you , I never knew you were affected so much, I'm so sorry." I apologized knowing how much Sekani was affected by the way he expressed himself earlier. Sekani could be in his worst state of mind but he would still smile and brush it off.

"Hey, it's okay. It isn't your fault, we're good but don't do that again." He stood up from his position and stretched his hand out for me to take.

"C'mon let's go, Mike is close by."He said as I took his hands and got up from the bench.

"Sekani thanks."I said as I put my arms around his torso as we walked.

"I should be the one thanking you for all this." He said as he gestured his hands around the school's environment.

"You did more than you think you did." He smiled at me as he put his arms around me.

We talked about random things as we approached the car park. I really missed Sekani and me coming here was just what I needed. He's my family and he understands me better than anyone.

"So where's he ?" I asked him as I looked around to spot Mike.

"There." He said pointing to the familiar range Rover with Mike standing outside of it receiving a phone call.

"Yo !" Sekani hailed as we walked closer to the car while Mike took the phone out of his ear.

"Hey little man !" They exchanged side hugs with huge smiles on their face.

"Skai ?! Hold up, were you referring to her as what I was to pick up ?" He gave Sekani a pissed look.

"Just manage this, I know you were expecting something better ." Mike tried to punch Sekani who dodged, their little play made me laugh.

"Hey Skai." He said as he hugged me,his cologne smelt so good and it's been long I've seen him even though we saw at the hospital,we didn't talk that much.

"Hello Mike." I greeted him as I wrapped my arms around him.

I heard a click sound and I looked over at Mike and saw Sekani taking a picture of us.

"Sekani !" I snarled at him and I broke the hug with Mike.

"What ?! You guys looked cute." He said as he put the phone back into his pocket.

"Whatever, we need to get going Skai, it's getting late." Mike said as he gestured me to get into the car.

"Okay then, bye sis. I'd send you the photo." Sekani hugged me and I felt crushed by how tight he hugged me.

"Bye and delete that photo." I said as I entered into the passenger's seat at the front of the car while Mike closed the door for me.

I could see Mike giving Sekani an high five as she walked towards the driver's seat through the rear view mirror.

I smiled at the sight of them,Mike really cares about Sekani and he shows that in everything that he does. My visit to Sekani was just what I needed and I'm glad I came here.
