"Can you stop teasing me?" Chenle whined as Renjun kept going on and on about how whipped Jisung was for him.
"No. Not when you asked me about preserving that flower crown that he made you." Renjun said, right after he pulled out his textbook for history and placing it on his desk.
"What's so wrong about wanting to preserve a precious memory made with my best friend?" Chenle questioned.
"Oh, nothing's wrong with it. It's just that you've never done that for any of us." The elder pointed out, seeing a bit of pink dusting the younger's cheeks.
"W-Who said I can't start doing it now huh? Plus, the flowers are super pretty, who wouldn't want to preserve them?"
Renjun just smiled at Chenle knowingly. He may have not know Chenle for as long as Jisung, but he sure as well know that the younger was finally realizing his feelings for Jisung.
Chenle may not know, or fully realize it just yet but he has been liking Jisung for quite a while. Even when he was dating Jieun. He just kind of got confused, is Renjun's guess. Renjun had seen how he would look at Jisung and act around him, and in all honesty, if that isn't whipped culture he doesn't know what is.
The day went by smoothly for the green haired male. Besides all the school work he had to do, he'd say he's doing quite fine today. Everything was swell until he went to pick up Jisung from his dance class at the end of the school day.
He had wanted to go out and hang at the arcade after school with Jisung, and so, he decided to go fetch the younger.
Walking up to the classroom, he already noticed some chatter going on in the room. He didn't mean to eavesdrop, it just happened.

"One, two, three, four, one, two, three, four, one, two, three, four." It was Jisung.
"Are we done now? I'm beat." A female voice spoke out, heaving in heavy breaths.
"I mean, you can leave. I still want to practice a bit more." He said.
There was a small pause until the female spoke up.
"Um, Jisung, I have something to say actually." She sounded nervous, jittery even.
"Huh? Shoot."
"Would you...Would you, go on a date with me? I've liked you for a long time and I thought that maybe you'll give me a chance." For some reason, that sparked a negative feeling within Chenle.
He wasn't sure what he was, he just really hoped Jisung would say no.
"I'm sorry Minyoung, I like someone else. They may never return my feelings but--"
"Then let me return them for you." She said, cutting the latter off.
A small pause resonated in the room until Jisung spoke up, "I don't want to do that to you. You're a friend of mine and I don't want you to get hurt."
"But, I want it though. I don't care if I get hurt. You're my friend right? And friends do each other favors, so please, can you do this for me?" Minyoung sounded desperate. It was like she was ready to risk it all for Jisung.
"I'm sorry Minyoung, but that's a favor I can't grant."
"Then can you give me just one kiss? I wanted you to be the one to take away my first kiss, and if you give me that, I promise not to bother you about this ever again."
Chenle was on the verge to just burst through the door, and prevent anything from happening but his body wouldn't move. It was like his feet had rooted him to the floor, forcing him to just stand there and listen. It was complete torture.

From the inside, Jisung didn't know what to do. Minyoung just stood in front of him with pleading eyes. He was having an internal battle with himself. Should he just grant her wish so she could leave him alone? Or should he just leave her hanging?
He wanted to go with the latter option, but Park Jisung was just too nice. And that was one of his downfalls.
Jisung slowly made his way towards the female, stopping right in front of her. With shaky hands, he cupped her cheeks. He had only planned to give her a quick peck and immediately pull away after, but she prevented that from happening.
Just as Jisung was about to pull away from the peck, Minyoung wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him right back extending the kiss. Throughout the whole thing, Jisung felt so uncomfortable as he felt her moving her lips against his.
Yup, this was definite confirmation that he was hella gay. Being hetero just isn't his forte, whatsoever.
Finally, he got her off of him.
"What the hell Minyoung?"
"I-I'm sorry I got carried away..."
Jisung just sighed and grabbed his things, storming out of the room.
The moment he stepped out of the room, he was met with a dazed Chenle. Panic surged through Jisung's veins, as thoughts of Chenle seeing or hearing what happened between him and Minyoung.
One the other hand, Chenle was stunned. Did they do what he think they did? Did Jisung kiss Minyoung like how she asked him to?
But even if he did, why should Chenle care? Jisung was his best friend, he was allowed to court whoever he wanted to. Then that lead to the thought of Jisung's confession to him not too long ago.
If Jisung had a crush on him, then why would he go kissing another person?
'You idiot. Didn't you technically reject him when he confessed?'
It was true. Chenle did technically reject the younger's confession, so why was he feeling this way?
"Lele? Are you okay?" Jisung asked, waving a hand in front of his face causing the elder to snap out of his whirlwind of thoughts.
"Huh? Yeah! I'm just dandy! You wanna go to the arcade with me?"
For now, the elder decided to push those thoughts aside, slapping on his cheerful persona once again.

You'll see a few similarities here between this story and some existing stories, at least initially. There's a lot of inspiration drawn from both MoL and Re:Zero, though in terms of pathos and darkness, this story leans more towards the latter. Be warned, it is something of a slow burn. The main character will grow and become powerful, but a theme of this story is that power comes slowly and often at great cost. NaNoWriMo challenge :D and [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Some magic elements are borrowed from Savage Divinity and a handful of other good wuxia/xianxia stories, but the story itself is pretty original if I do say so myself. If you feel bothered by my borrowing elements from other magic systems, a) I'm not making money off of this... yet, and b) almost all Xianxia copy each other. This one, at least, has direction where other xianxia don't.
