“freaking wheelies bro. get on my level,” jeongguk said, messing around with his wheelchair a little bit. jimin laughed, watching his friend as he leaned on the wall. jeongguk had definitely became more of his old self after the accident. of course, he never really changed, but while in college he never wanted to do anything often. but now, he was much more alive.

“why would i wanna be on your level? you're obviously below me,” jimin said, rolling his eyes a little bit. jeongguk looked at his friend.

“shut up bro, you just jealous,” jeongguk said, waving and snapping his fingers around. jimin laughed.

“yeah, jealous of nothing.” jimin looked at his friend, who immediately began to wheel his way towards him. jimin frantically looked around, jumping out of his friend's way. jeongguk followed him, trying to run him over, but was quickly stopped by someone grabbing his chair. he looked back, raising an eyebrow.

“you're gonna end up breaking this before the week ends,” yoongi said calmly. jeongguk smiled, turning around and opening his arms, indicating he wanted a hug. yoongi smiled at him, setting his bag down and engulfing jeongguk into a hug.

“hi hyung,” jeongguk said softly. yoongi hummed. jimin looked at the two.

“i'll get going. see you two,” jimin said. jeongguk bid goodbye to his friend before turning his attention back to his boyfriend.

“did you bring food?” jeongguk asked cheekily. yoongi sighed, pulling away.

“yeah, i did, what do you think is in the bag?”

“coulda been a book or sum,” jeongguk said. yoongi rolled his eyes, grabbing his bag before taking jeongguk's wheelchair and pushing him.

they spoke soft words on their way to the courtyard. since jeongguk had access to move around the building, they decided to go out and eat lunch on this fine day. it was long to get down there, but yoongi and jeongguk savored every moment of it. if jeongguk hadn't got hurt, they'd be able to spend way much more time together.

they reached the court yard after a long walk. yoongi wheeled jeongguk to a table before taking a chair and sitting down himself. he took the lunch he made out of the box as well as a stack of cards. jeongguk peered at them amusingly.

“are we gonna play a game of cards?”

“suppose so, unless you wanna build a house of cards?” yoongi asked, looking at his boyfriend dearly. jeongguk shook his head, saying that those took too much work. yoongi laughed before opening the boxes and giving food to jeongguk. he made sure the younger boy got more food than he did, of course. he had eaten awhile ago.

“so your birthday is coming up, anything you want?”

“just to leave this place and see everyone again. i miss them,” jeongguk said, taking a bite of his food. yoongi suddenly felt bad. he sighed.

“i understand. but seriously, anything you really want?”

“your hand in marriage?” jeongguk said cheekily. he was joking, yet yoongi didn't know that. yoongi went wide-eyed at him, a blush taking over, so he diverted eye contact and looked away.

“only joking, hyung, but maybe another day?”

yoongi sighed in relief, looking at his boyfriend and nodding. “baby steps, baby, we need to finish college first.”

jeongguk rolled his eyes, “i bet i'm failing all of my classes.”

“actually, your graded papers contradicts that. i've been receiving your papers and you've gotten A's on them all so far,” yoongi said, lifting up his phone to show the pictures. jeongguk looked at them before looking at yoongi. he reached his hand out, ruffling yoongi's hair a little.

“only cause i have a fantastic tutor.”

“don't forget about your friends. now hurry up and eat your food before it gets cold.”
