"Hyunsuk check the cameras, are we far back enough?"
Jinyoung asked and Hyunsuk put a thumbs up.
"Car can't be seen. Give me a second and I could paste a screenshot of the outside, make it move, and keep it in the camera's view while time passes till we're done."
Jiho nods then Byoung goes on with a question.
"Are there any cameras inside?"
Good question though. I looked at Hyunsuk and then he shook his head.
"This building is still under construction and he only stays to drink. There's nothing in there that we need to worry about."
Huh...he's weird. He only stays here after work to drink. A bit lonely.
"Hyunsuk, you have the screenshot up?"
Yonghee asked and he nodded.
"You're fine to move in."
Hyunsuk smiled and Jiho, along with Seunghun, jerked me out along with a duffle bag.
"Just be quiet and careful."
Jiho said, leading me, Seunghun, and Jinyoung into the building.
It was dark, gloomy, scary, just like an abandoned building. Jiho led us up the stairs fast enough to almost run but slow enough for us to be quiet enough to make sure that the greasy drunk man lingering on the 5th floor. We peek into the 5th floor from the stairs and see the man sleeping with bottles among bottles surrounding his body on the floor.
"Get the chloroform."
Jinyoung said as Seunghun began to go through the duffle bag of supplies.
Seunghun handed Jinyoung a rag and a bottle of chloroform to Jinyoung and he soaks it. Jinyoung handed the rag to Jiho and Seunghun stuffed everything back into the bag.
"Tools ready?"
Jiho asked Seunghun and he held a leather pack of something or somethings that are shiny...something I had seen in Jiho's car beforehand.

"Masks."
Seunghun said pulling out masks and distributing them to everyone but before He gave me mine he came closer and put it on for me.
"I told you not to trust us, or falling in love with Jinyoung. Why did you-"
Seunghun whispered in my ear while he put on my mask but I quickly grabbed his hand to stop him.
"I don't love Jinyoung and this is fun, I have no reason not to trust y'all."
I smile though he couldn't see it then Jiho grabs our attention again.
Head in."
He whispered and we slipped in through the stir doorway and closer and closer to the sleeping body.

Esper: Search for Power
Dan Martin has a good life. He's respected at his job, and enjoys his work. He is close to his family, and they love and support him. With engaging hobbies, relative financial security, and freedom to learn and pursue his interests, Dan is happy. So it's not particularly welcome when he's selected by an inscrutable and seemingly omnipotent System as a test subject. The downsides: All of this is insane and by any rational analysis he's gonna die. The upsides: Super powers, a cure for a physical disability that had limited him, and above all, so very much to learn (for as long as he can avoid dying). I am very much a beginner as an author, and any feedback or suggestions on how to improve would be deeply appreciated. Chapter releases should be daily for the first two weeks and sporadic after that as I use up my buffer. Please consider this work as a rough draft subject to revision and/or retcon. It is not only my first attempt at original story telling, but at world building and RPG style system design. The latter has been very difficult, even drawing on the brilliant work of many RPGs and LitRPGs for inspiration. Thank you to any willing to give a new story and a new writer a try!

A Mildly Odd Reality Breaker
Omar receives an unexpected visitor who comes baring a gift—a "registration ticket"—in the form of a small metal card. The ticket is itself an offer to participate in the game, "Reality Break." Accepting this offer means that Omar will be able to perceive the true nature of reality where there is not one, but two dimensions of time, and in this second dimension history changes (and somewhat "frequently"). Along with this, he will also gain access to the "chronopause"; another reality that is not so much parallel to our own as it is perpendicular, which acts as both a place and the natural boundary between non-sequential points on the timeline. Using the chronopause, Omar will become a chrononaut with the ability to travel through time, and as a player, he will be given a cybernetic interface and his own portable extradimensional storage space. It's a strange conversation, but due to Omar's dismally short attention span, he only consciously hears that last bit about the portable pocket space, and that's only after the physics-defying void is opened in his living room and literally waved in front of his face. Reality is certainly stranger than most people realize, but then again, so is Omar. Thankfully, he responds well to shiny things, and for better or for worse, his chronic inattentiveness is the least of his psychological issues. Omar also has a mild form of "Oppositional Defiant Disorder" which presents itself as an occasional, arbitrary need to disobey others (especially authority figures). However, his oddest psychological issue by far is his "abnormally hyperactive" subconscious mind. Outwardly and consciously, Omar is a lazy, apathetic man-child prone to mildly asinine behavior. Subconsciously, he's some sort of genius capable of extraordinary feats of cognition. Most of the time, Omar is a (technically) functioning adult, but in order to live as such, he must rely entirely upon unusual abilities he's completely unaware of, despite the fact that he uses them regularly. Up until now, his life had merely been ridiculous, but now it was also a game. Note: The narrative style is that of a reliable narrator with a "3rd-person sarcastic" POV. This story takes place in the Reality Breakers/Chronopause universe.

Conquest of Avalon
Revenge. The Kingdom of Avalon swept across the Empire of the Fox a generation past, conquering the heartlands and leaving the broken remnants to stew in the island duchy of Guerron. This isn't a story of Good versus Evil, of kindly kings doing their best to lift all subjects, or of unvarnished heroes doing battle against evil. Instead, this story is about power: who has it, who wants it, and what people will do to obtain it. It is about the violence inherent in the imperial project and how even the most well-intentioned rulers and conquerors are, still, engaging in systemic violence against those conquered and defeated. Our three point-of-view characters are a peasant turned fire wizard, an excitable duelist with more enthusiasm than sense, and a scheming mage-priestess bent on reclaiming her family's birthright and waging war on the foreign oppressors who rule her home... no matter the cost in blood or treasure.
