I was laying in bed, and I heard my phone go off. When I reached over to my phone, I saw that I had gotten a text, but didn't know the number.

Hey Olivia! It's Bill. I hope you don't mind that Trinity gave me your number, although it is a rarity for a girl to have my number before we date.

Oh is it now? No I don't mind at all. What's up?

I'm sure you know by now that I'm interested in you.

Yeah. Trinity mentioned something about that.

Well I was wondering if you would like to go out with me on Friday night?

Yeah. I would love to.

Great! Right after work?

Sounds good. I'm really tired, so I'll see you tomorrow?

You got it, babe.

I don't know what I got myself into, but oh well. I went to sleep, hopefully feeling better about tomorrow. When I woke up, I got dressed in a shorter and tighter dress than what I would originally go for. I wanted to feel good about myself today. When I got to work and started making coffee, everyone was already glaring at me except for Bill. He just smiled, and walked over.

"Hey hot stuff. What's happening?"

"Nothing and my name is Olivia."

"I know. You just look really hot today. So about Friday?"

"Yeah? What about it?"

"I was thinking I take you out to dinner. Sound good?"

"Yeah sure."

I finished making Mr. Wright's coffee and walked it in. His eyes widened and his jaw dropped to the floor. I wanted to tell him to wipe the drool, but I also wanted to keep my job. I put the coffee on his desk and walked out. It was like that the entire week. He'd always check me out, but would never say a word to me. I could tell Trinity was in a bad mood all week, but wouldn't say anything about it. Then Friday came along. I was almost done with work for the night and I was bringing Mr. Wright his last coffee, when he spoke up.

"Olivia, would you mind working late tonight?"

"I can't. I have plans."

"I'm sure Trinity would understand."

"It's not with Trinity. If you must know, I have a date."

"You have a date?"

"Don't be so shocked. Not all men find me repulsive. Just you. I'm going out with Bill tonight."

"Head of HR Bill?"

"Yeah. So what did you need? I'll do it over the weekend."

"Nothing. I don't know how I feel about you two going out."

"With all due respect, sir this isn't really your concern."

"Two employees of mine dating, is my concern, Olivia. How could Bill resolve issues fairly if you're dating him?"

"Well I guess any issues regarding me will have to be passed on to you."

"Okay. I understand that you may think you like him and all, but I simply won't allow it."

"Since when do you control my life? Do you pay my bills?"

"If I did, would you not go out with him?"

"I am my own person! I am free to date whoever I want!"

"Why him?"

"You really are something! First you tell me you've never felt this way about a girl before, then you take it back and say you have no interest in me and you were just drunk. Just when I was starting to feel the same way! Then you don't say one word to me the entire week, and when I'm finally trying to forget about you, you say you don't want me to go! Make up your mind!"

By this time, I was in tears. All of the confusion and games were getting to me. Mr. Wright seems like a great guy, but I refuse to be some rich guy's toy. He sat me down on the couch in his office, and he put his arm around my shoulder. He tried to get me to stop crying.

"Olivia, please stop crying. I don't like to see you like this. I'm sorry if I confused you or hurt you in any way. That's not what I intended. You said you were starting to feel the same way. What did that mean?"

"Well when you said you liked me, I said no because you were my boss. That wasn't it. I didn't understand how you could like me when you don't know me. I figured all you wanted was fun like the rest of those rich guys. Then I talked to Trinity, and she said to give you a chance. Maybe it was some fairy tale love at first sight stuff. I guess I was right. That doesn't exist."

"It does! That's exactly what it was. I didn't want to freak you out by saying love, but love at first sight is exactly how I feel."

"I'm sorry Mr. Wright, but how can I believe you now? Now if you will excuse me, I have a date to go on. Goodnight."

I walked out of his office in tears. His jaw was open, and my heels clicked further and further away. I walked downstairs and Trinity saw me.

"Liv! What happened?"

"Nothing. Just clearing things up with Mr. Wright. I haven't talked to you in a while. What's been up?"

I desperately wanted to change the subject.

"Well Nikko and I had a huge fight. He accused me of cheating on him with Bill. He's been sleeping on the couch all week and we barely speak. I don't want this to be it, but we might break up. I just don't want to lose him."

"You won't. Any guy in his right mind would beg for your forgiveness. He's probably planning something big. If he's not, I could always kick his ass!"

"Thanks, babe. Here's your date now. Call me later and tell me everything!"

"You got it! Bye, doll!"

Here goes nothing...
