《TodoBaku - Soulmate》6

Bakugo had been taken by the League of Villains right in front of Todoroki's face, and he could do nothing about it. Never had he felt so bare, so powerless before in his life. He felt like it was his responsibility to protect Bakugo, since they were partnered up and stayed together throughout the whole ordeal.
And when that villain taunted him, holding Bakugo's coin right in front of his face, it was like his soul shattered.
Bakugo was his. He was his responsibility, his classmate, his partner, and possibly his soulmate.
And he couldn't reach him.
He couldn't grasp onto that coin and take him for his own, and his stupid pride wouldn't let him just wave it off.
He wanted to get Bakugo back. He needed to get Bakugo back.
He didn't care what kind of impure thoughts were going on through his head as he agreed to go along with Midoriya.
He would get Bakugo back, no matter what.

What did Todoroki think of the knew dorms? He thought they were a breeding ground for disaster, and he wouldn't be able to sleep with all the noise.
He was actually quite surprised. To go the first couple days without a disaster or someones door being broken down was a miracle. Todoroki thought things would get nasty real quick, but they stayed relatively calm.
Bakugo especially stayed rather calm, or whatever calm could be considered in his case. Despite it being quite a lot of time since the whole kidnapping incident, them having already taken there hero license exam, Todoroki felt that Bakugo was still affected by that incident.
He wanted to do something but didn't know what. He had been eyeing Bakugo for quite some time, trying to think of a way to start conversation. He mainly wanted to talk about soul marks and finally finish their previous conversation thay had been nagging around the back of his mind.

He wouldn't let Bakugo off the hook any longer. They had just finished exams and would start taking supplementary lessons together soon.
It was the perfect time...
Until Bakugo got in a fight with Midoriya and had to be on house arrest for four days.
It made Todoroki start to wonder what happened between them but then all his questions seemed to fade away as soon as he saw Bakugo cleaning around the dorms. It was a surreal experience, seeing such a fiery man doing mundane chores and doing them well at that.
Todoroki had to forcibly peel his eyes away and keep moving before he got to engrossed. The last night of house arrest, however, Todoroki came out and sat down on the couch in the common area where Bakugo calmly finished cleaning the windows.
He stared a him, watching as his back muscles moved underneath his shirt with every movement and how his whole body seemed to tighten as he reached the higher parts of the window.
It was the coaxing, slow rhythm of Bakugo's hands working around the window that made Todoroki want to stay there forever. For once, he felt at peace, but the constant nagging of the soul mark brought him back into place. And yet again, he didn't know how to start the conversation.
"Baku-"
"Fuck! I'm done with this shit!" Bakugo suddenly yelled, throwing down the rag in his hands and storming over towards where Todoroki sat on the couch. There was practically steam coming out of his head as his fists clenched like he was ready to punch him.
"You and your constant staring is annoying! You want to see if I have the same shitty mark as you, right? Well, look!" Bakugo suddenly pulled down part of his shirt, exposing a portion of his chest for Todoroki to see.

The mark of clear as day, ying and yang forming perfectly right over his heart. There was no mistaking the mark, Todoroki had studied the one on his own chest a million times and could never mistake it.
The perfect circle, black vividly differentiating from the white, the clear opposites coming together with one frail line.
His soul mark.
Todoroki couldn't stop staring, couldn't look away from the beauty of it sprayed across Bakugo, his soulmates, chest. Why did it feel so different?
"Are you happy? This is what you fucking wanted, right?" Bakugo seethed, pulling his shirt back up. He bent forward, grabbing onto Todoroki's hair and pulling him close.
They both stared at each other in silence, breathing heavy until Bakugo spoke in a low voice."You got what you wanted but now what are you going to do? What do you really want, Todoroki?"
And then Bakugo left, stomping away and leaving the windows unfinished.
Todoroki sat there, breathless. Then he picked but the rag and finished the windows in silence.
===
Todoroki closed the door as not to wake anyone. Then he opened his futon and laid down, pulling his comforter over him in deep concentration.
What did he want?
