《Cut Deep (Eren x Reader ft. Titan Eren)》~ Chapter 22 ~

I stand in shock along with everyone who witnesses the embrace of Eren and Mikasa. I am internally stabbed at the sight of it, and lean my hand against a wall to support my shaking legs.
"Eren-n ge-et off!" Mikasa shoves him backwards, slamming his body into the wall.
"Eren what the heck!" Armin raises his voice, sounding like a chirping bird neatly dressed with his top hat on his blonde bob cut.
"You told me to tell her!" Eren argues.
"DON'T TOUCH HER!" Jean rushes over, holding up Eren by the collar.
"IF YOU CREASE MY SHIRT I'M GOING TO KILL YOU!" Eren screeches.
"Shut up!" Levi stands at the end of the hallway. He speedily walks up to us, a homicidal look in his eyes. "If either of you crease your shirts, you'll be cleaning for the rest of the year! Now all of you, get down to the ballroom before Blouse and Springer eat everything!"
We follow Levi down to the ballroom, and he opens the two wide wooden doors to a big ass room glowing with different coloured lights. There are tables around the sides, with enough seats on a table to fit our group. There is a buffet at the back, where Sasha and Conny are standing giggling and eating. Fairy lights hang from the ceiling along with a disco ball in the centre, which is left empty to dance.
The night is wonderful and so is the food. Music is playing and everyone dances together, Eren smiling at me every know and again. Our heads are sweating and our legs are aching, but we all mange to grin as we jump up and down. I even spot Erwin and Levi jumping and grinning like idiots, which is a rather rare sight.

Just as I start to forget about Eren and Mikasa, the lights above me begin to dim and slow music starts playing.
"Okay, Scouts, this is the moment some of you have been waiting for," Erwin speaks loud and clear.
"The slow dance begins, now," He tells us in a roaring voice tone.
People start to stick together like magnets, Sasha and Conny, Christa and Reiner, even...Levi and Hanji?
"Don't think I like you, shitty glasses," I hear Levi mutter.
"Oh, Levi dear..." She laughs giddily, probably drunk.
I scan the room for Armin, who said he would dance with me sometime tonight. He sits up on the stage playing music, and I walk through the groups of happy couples to see him.
"Armin!" I say over the music.
"Yeah, (Y/N)?" He replies.
"Did you want to dance?" I build up my courage.
"I can't, I stop playing music in about half an hour so ask me then, okay?" Armin calls, frustrated.
I then spot members of our group near our table, and walk over to join Ymir, Bertholdt, and Jean.
"Hey guys," I say, sitting down on my seat.
"Hey, (Y/N)." Ymir states, not taking her eyes of Christa. "The moment he touches her incorrectly, I'll..." She leans over to Bertholdt, speaking about his partner in crime. "HEY REINER- That's too low!" She rushes over to the pair after Reiner lowered his hands from Christa's waist .
Bertholdt sifts a giggle, and looks over at Jean and I.
"You're not going to dance, Bertholdt?" Jean asks, looking up at the tall male.
"No, I only want to dance with one girl...Annie," He smiles blankly into the air.

"Hey, (Y/N), " Jean says, smiling at me. Is he going to ask me to dance? My mind bubbles up at the thought. "I'm going to freshen up for my dance with Mikasa, so I'll be right back," He says walking up to the bathroom. Of course, how could I forget the dance with Mikasa he was supposed to have? Hang on-if Jean is here, who is Mikasa dancing with now?
I browse the room, the soft romantic music filling my body and see it, Mikasa and Eren hand in hand dancing. Her head is gently wrapped on his shoulder, their bodies so close they could be mistaken for one person if you didn't notice the red scarf on one half. As my legs grow weak to the sight, Eren leans in to her and they kiss, which breaks my body entirely.
"H...H...Hey, Be...e...ertholdt," I shake. "I ju...ust ne...ed to...vo...omit, so I'll...I'll...I'll...be ri...i...ight back,"
I see his eyes fix on the couple I saw, and he begins to curse under his breath.
"(Y/N), no, come back!" He shouts, as I rush out of the ballroom.

The Arduous Path
Life has never been kind to Alex, but today, today was just one of those days where life sought you out, bent you over, and had her way with you until nothing but a jumbled mess remained. Today was one of those days. Just as the small housewarming party for one of Alex's friends was taking place in the dead of night, the starry sky opened its cosmic jaws and thrust upon the world its wonders and terrors. Frantically trying to make heads or tails of the situation while not dying is going to prove itself much more of a challenge than Alex ever expected to encounter in his miserable but safe life. Still, behind all the adrenaline and danger of this fateful event, Alex feels there may be more awaiting him than simply a grim future, and he will not let this opportunity escape his grasp. P.S - I'm aiming at making this a pure cultivation story, so no blue boxes, I'm sorry. [participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge]

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
