You were walking down the hallway. You were still very cold from the walk from the parking lot to the building. As you were walking, you heard someone walking behind you. You turned around and saw Gwen. You felt like that you haven't seen her since you left Game of Tiaras.

"Hey. Guess what?" Gwen asked.

"What?" you questioned.

"The spring musical really is High School Musical 2. Auditions are tomorrow and Wednesday. Let's go get applications." Gwen said in one breath.

You followed behind her to the theatre arts classroom.

The applications were in a folder outside of the classroom and you both signed up for an audition time. Then, you went off to Government class. Since there was time before class started, you start to fill out the application. Your heart said yes, but your mind said no because of your mean theatre arts teacher.

On the roles that you're interested in, you put: Gabriella, Taylor, and Kelsi. It would so cool and a coincidence if you got casted as Kelsi in the musical since you played Kelsey in The Scorch Trials movie. You read through the audition material and commitment contract. The girls have to sing 'Gotta Go My Own Way' and the boys have to sing 'Bet On It.' You knew the perfect person to help you in preparation for the audition. The one, the only...Dexter Darden!

When school was over, you went home. You got on your homework right away. After that, you went on YouTube to look up the 'Gotta Go My Own Way' lyrics and the version karaoke. Then, you FaceTimed Dexter. You and him had a small conversation, then he heard you sing and gave you feedback. Before the FaceTime ended, he wished you good luck and to tell him the results.

It would be an awesome Christmas present if you got casted in your last high school musical (no pun intended).

In London

Thomas was on his way to Kaya's place. They're going to record video auditions for new projects to do before the Death Cure. Thomas is auditioning for a show on Netflix called 'Godless' and Kaya is auditioning for the next Pirates in the Caribbean movie. Her husband, Ben was concerned about her doing a movie while she's pregnant, but she assured him that she'll be fine. Both of the projects will be filmed in America and the running time is four months.

After they finished their video auditions, they emailed them to the directors. Thomas checked his phone and saw that y/n texted about auditions for her school's musical. All three of them wished her good luck and to tell them the results.

Y/n's POV, Audition Day

You and Gwen turned in your applications. You both went to a corner and practiced the song. You were thinking of Dexter's advice. It's now 4:00pm. Right before you could enter the chorus room, your theatre arts teacher stopped you.

"I'm sorry, y/n. But, I'm not allowing you to audition." she said with a disappointing look.

Then, Alex stepped in.

"Whoa! You can't tell her that she can't try out. It's open to everyone." he said to the teacher.

"Come on, y/n. Let's go audition." Alex said, guiding you into the room.

You were mesmerized, while watching Alex sing.

'He's definitely gonna get Troy.' you thought.

Three girls auditioned before you. When it was your turn, you imagined that you were singing to the Scorch Trials panel. That helped calm your nerves. You sang your heart out and the other auditionees clapped for you.
