Christmas break is over and school is back in session. You hated that you had to turn your alarm back on and you miss sleeping in. You drove to school and meet up with Gwen to discuss musical rehearsals for the month. You both were in the middle of highlighting your roles on the schedule, when Alex came up to you guys.

"Hey. Y/n, can I talk to you about the ITS Ceremony?" he asked.

"Yeah, sure." you said.

The two of you walked a short distance away from where you and Gwen were sitting.

"So, do you know what you wanna perform? A monologue, a song, or a scene with me?" Alex asked.

"I was thinking of singing." you admitted.

"Really? What song do you wanna sing?" Alex asked.

"I gotta think about that." you said.

"Okay. Well, think fast. The ceremony is in a few days and we don't have a lot of time to practice." he said.

"That's true. I'll give you my number so we can discuss it more." you said.

You both pulled out your phones and exchanged numbers.

"Well, I gotta go. Oh, congrats on getting casted as Kelsi." Alex said.

"Thanks. Congrats on getting Troy." you said.

After that, you went back to Gwen to discuss the rehearsal schedule before class started. She had that look in her eye that says "You two look like a couple," which you recognized.

"You can't put that face away. Don't even think about it." you said.

"What?" Gwen questioned.

"Alex is just my inductor for the ITS ceremony. By the way, have you forgotten that I'm dating Thomas?" you said.

"I knew that. It's just...you two look cute together." she said.

"Whatever. I gotta go to Government. See ya later shank." you said, getting up.

"Bye shuckface." Gwen said.

You both stuck your tongues out at each other and laughed.

During Algebra II class, you thought of the perfect song to for the duet performance at the ceremony. 'Those You've Known' from the musical, Spring Awakening, but it's the version from the show, Rise.

You and Alex scheduled to meet up after school to practice. You both are doing really good and you're feeling more confident as you practice.

It's now the night of the ITS induction ceremony. Kendra and Emily are in the audience with your family. You were feeling a little nervous backstage, but Gwen was there to help.

"Okay, everyone. The ceremony is about to start. Get in order." the stage manager said.

Everyone did as they were told. The curtain of the stage opened, revealing the inductees and their inductors. Your theatre arts teacher went down the line of introducing everyone.

Saige and her inductor, Max just finished their scene. Now, it's your turn.

"Please welcome our next inductee, y/n l/n and her inductor, Alex Carothers. They will be performing a duet entitled, Those You've Known from the musical, Spring Awakening." the theatre arts teacher introduced.

The audience clapped, then went silent. The track started playing.

Claps and cheers filled the auditorium. The other inductees performed, then your theatre arts teacher closed the ceremony by everyone onstage saying the International Thespian Society pledge. After that, everyone grabbed hands and took a bow. Everybody went out to the lobby for refreshments. Kendra, Emily, and your family were amazed by how awesome you and Gwen did.

You went home an official thespian. You texted the cast the awesome news, then called it a night.
