《Triumph Book 1》Chapter Nineteen

My wolf was as nervous as I was when Monday rolled around, I got the girls ready for daycare they all where very energetic this morning. Trinity had to have an extra breathing treatment that morning because of the excitement. I worry about her at times like this I hate that she has to go through this because of her fathers choice.
Leon was on my mind since Max had let me know about today, I worry he would recognize me and make my life hell again. I had an idea of how to avoid it but ive never tried it, I will try to use my water powers to hide my mate connection and my scent. Ive practiced this weekend but I dont know if it would work 100% but all I can do is pray to the goddess that it will for me and my girls.
When I drop the girls off at daycare I took my time I did not want to get to work that day. But eventually I was pulling in to the parking lot, there where tons of people there the atmosphere of all the alphas in one place was almost over powering.
I put up the wall before I stept out of the car my body was heavy with anxiety as I go in to work. The day was full of meetings, alphas, and getting coffee and food for the meetings being held all day, I wasnt completly sure what the meetings where about today I was just trying to hide.
"Take these to meeting room 3" I was handed a huge bag full of hot lunches.
I rushed to the meeting room and gently opened the door trying not to disturb the alphas inside. His scent hit me like a punch to my face I almost ran the opposite way when I seen him.

He was up front a presentation on the over head about vampires "They have made advances, we have to up patrol the air kingdom has already been ravaged by the opending wa..... Can I help you?" Leons voice boomed as his eyes land on me. "Just here to deliver lunch" I mumble and set it down "k thanks" he says and turns back to his presentation.
He had no idea who I was, relief washed over me, a deep part of myself was also a little hurt he didnt. That night truly ment nothing to him if he couldnt even reconize my face.
The rest of that day passed fastly I worried about it for nothing my mind finally calmed down a little. I was sitting at my desk when Max showed up "good afternoon" he smiles and stops at my desk "good afternoon, hey I have the Alpha King coming around in about 20 minutes all staff needs to be there" he turns to penny " same for you" we both nodded and he went into the office.
As we waited for the Alpha King I wondered what he would be like he is a king after all the most powerful of every one here. My mind came back to reality when a woman walked up to Pennys desk, she had long black hair she was a small woman just a little taller than I am. I hadn't seen her face yet but you could tell she was a beautiful woman even without seeing her face.
"Afternoon miss Im looking for Alpha Max" her voice filled the room as she talked to Penny "your name miss?" Penny typed on the computer "I'm the High Priestess" her voice boomed and Penny froze. "I apologize, I didnt reconize you" she frantically got out of her chair and led her to Maxes office. Well he told us about the king but he hadn't said anything about the High Priestess.

A Woods and fresh spring water scent hit my nose and before I could even think twice my eyes connected with a pair of beautiful piercing Aqua blue eyes. The man infront of me was built like a god every detail of him was perfect.
"He is our mate" my wolf wispered sadly knowing I couldnt do anything about that fact. I was praying my second mate wouldnt come along until I was ready. I wasnt ready for another rejection or to tell who I really was so I decided to keep my shield up.
"Good Evening" his voice sent chills down my spine "h..hh..hello" I stuttered trying to keep my cool "is Alpha Max ready for me?" Thats when I realized he was the Alpha King.
Come to find out the High Priestess and the Alpha King where here to Welcome Max to being alpha and he had wanted us all to meet the new boss. I couldnt keep my eyes off of The Alpha King the entire time the conference was going on.
When I finally got home that day I was drained physically, Mentally, and Magically. Getting the girls really for bed was a hard task that night, he was on my mind all night through everything I couldn't get him out of my head.
"Are you okay Momma?" I instantly came back to reality, Willow was standing at my bed her hair a mess and a cute little worried expression on her face. Willow had never called me mom and it instantly warmed my heart "yes honey I am" I motion for her to get in the bed with me and she climbed in. She made me realize, yes I cant have either of the men I was meant for, but I do have a loving and wonderful family and that is all I really need in life.

The Last Journey
A slice of life litrpg story... or is it? It's burning slow, though. Moving on: War comes with a great cost. Lives and time wasted for most part. One could either be run with sword, be poisoned, be bowed, and sometimes meet their end with just a tiny speck of wood. With magic, it becomes even more colorful. From lightning, to worse poison, to hovering rocks, to weird bladed leaves, to whipping roots, and to a lot more odd things easily reasoned with magic. A wonderful creation. But once used to something more than wonder, more than tricks to gather laughs, it becomes worse. War becomes worse. For there is not only blood to be spilled. A particular town almost met the same end. Soldiers geared with swrords and bows came with mounts. Horses burning lush grasses as it cracked boulders and the soil alike with every step. The kind that only war ones could ever do. Even strange wheeled creations that oozed danger were towed, loaded with something meant to destroy. But not once had they acted upon what such devices should've done, nor what an an army is supposed to do. Siege never occurred, as much as a command to war. No. Magic existed so a simple little fire is all the worth the town has. No sword drawn, no arrows nocked, nothing. Just some mana spent and through the ash they march. That was how Nudius saw her end. It came not even as a surprise. She didn't have the moment to fully register what occurred before she found herself in an empty dark space. Life lost, time spent. All from a fire that had not even touched her. But she knew very well that it was magic. Something she wished to have and strived for to have. Yet it seemed that none of it would matter now. Nudius was well aware of what the color around meant, of the odd situation, of the unfeeling state of her being. It was death and that was it. She didn't have to worry or dream further. Although there wasn't what she truly wanted in what death to her is, but at least, Nudius was comforted to what she believed death is. Rest. But little did she know there's something more than that empty space. It wasn't only the promise of rest, but was also more than she could ever hope for. Another chance at life. Another chance to dream. ***Tags are there just in case. You never know! Umm... HI-MI-TSU. Story blurb+: This is slow burn, quite slice of life story about a girl learning magic. Body Modifier: Energy Required
Aria ate a fish. [Energy: 2] Finished, he ate another fish. [Energy: 2] ... [Energy: 3] Without realizing it, he had finished 5 fishes. He felt a little bloat, he lay down with a full stomach, occasionally burped. Even though he didn't want to be a big lump of meatball, he still had to keep eating. At least until he found another way to accumulate energy. After all, if he didn't take advantage of his advantages, wasn't that stupid? His mind then drifted imagining which one he would use the energy for. Should he use it on his eyes, so it shot a beam of laser, like a certain bespectacled mutant? Should he use it on his bones, so it regenerated infinitely, like a certain character from an anime? Should he use it on his brain, so he became a genius, like a scientist with a bald head? Or should he use it on his vital organ, so that he became the manliest person in the world? While he was imagining things, suddenly his ears felt pinched. "Ouch!" "Didn't mom already say you can't play with fire, you brat?!" There he realized, knowing that no matter what he chose, he was still a child in front of his mother.
