(Riley's PoV)

I woke up to feel an arm around my body.

"Morning" Xavier said with a husky morning voice.

I was self conscious all so suddenly and decided to wiggle out of his hold.

"Good morning" I said not looking at him.

Yesterday's events reminded me of how vulnerable I was. He knew my story. He could use it against me.

"Ezlyn left a dress for you to wear today. After breakfast you will go shopping with her."

"Ya I remember"

"Ok go get ready, I'll call Lisa to send breakfast."

I quickly got out of the bed and made my way towards the bathroom.

I got out of the shower and got dressed in the clothes that Ezlyn had provided for me.

It was simple deep blue dress which came down till my mid thighs.

I stepped out of the bathroom to see Xavier eating breakfast.

He turned around to look at me and started coughing.

I quickly filled up a glass of water and gave it to him.

"Are you ok?"

"Yes. Thank you. Um... you look nice."

A blush creeped my cheeks.

"Thank you" I said a little shy.

"After you finish your breakfast go down. My sister will be waiting for you there." Xavier said getting up.

"Where are you going?"

"I have a meeting. I won't be back till late. You don't have to stay up for me."

"Ok. Bye" I smiled at him

He nodded his head and returned the smile.

I quickly finished my pancakes. And I should tell you they were delicious and ran down.

"Hi Riley! You ready?" Ezlyn greeted me with her signature smile.

"Yup let's go"

A black Mercedes was waiting for us outside the front porch.

"Wow is this you car?" I asked sounding mesmerised

"Yes, isn't she a beauty!"

We reached a gigantic mall. I had never really shopped before. Let alone shopping I never went out much. My family constantly lived in the fear of being caught.

As we shopped I asked ez a lot of questions.

I didn't expect her to be this nice but she was.

I asked her why she didn't hate humans and she said she had nothing against us.

Her father had a past with us and that's why he hates us. Her brothers were also part of it.

"Its not my story to tell. It happened before I was even born." She said

She didn't like the idea of keeping humans as slaves. She said if she got a chance she would try and overthrow her own father.

Xavier would do the same she said. They disliked their father very much. Not only was he an unjust ruler but he also wasn't a great father.

People say cillian killed his own queen. I don't know how much of it is true. Nor Does Ez.

I know this chapter doesn't have much

But it was important to talk about Ez and her brothers want to overthrow the king.
