(Riley's PoV)

Yesterday's shopping was crazy fun. Now I owned the number of clothes that I hadn't even seen in my entire life.

I was currently in my room, well Xavier's room waiting for him.

He said he'd come late but it was the next morning and still no show.

I know he is supposed to be my master, but now he feels like a friend. At was he was rude to me but then he showed me his softer side.

And now I'm thinking maybe just maybe my life won't turn out to be so bad.

The door opened and Xavier walked in,well stumbled in.

He was gonna half fall to the floor as I rushed up to him and caught him.

"Hmm hi Riley, you smell nice."

I could smell the alcohol in his breath. Great now I had to handle a drunk Xavier.

"Ok Xavier please sit down. Let me get you some water. And please be carefu.. ahh" I didn't even get to finish my sentence and I was already on the floor on top of Xavier.

Uhh great of course he decides to fall. I was now laying on top of him as he cradled me.

"Oh Riles your so cute when you're all flustered."

"I'm not flustered" I say getting upclearly sounding flustered.

"Now come on get off the floor and onto the bed." I said trying to command him.

He pouted at me. I have to admit this was kind of cute.

"I think you're forgetting who the master is here." He said getting up and wobbling his way to the bed.

"You know I wanted to thank you for telling me you story."he said

"Your welcome."

"You're not the only one with a shitty story." He suddenly looked sad and his eyes became dull.

I went up to him and sat beside him on the bed. I didn't know if he wanted to tell me his story considering that he was drunk. But I asked him anyway.

"Do you mind telling me yours?"

"It was a warm day and it was sunny just the way she liked it. My beautiful little sister, Elis.

Lucian and I loved her so much. She was so innocent and pure. It was a mob of humans that destroyed the dream. They marched in and took her life, pulled her heart right out.

I was heartbroken. It was as though the light from my life was taken away from me. She was so young. All she wanted was to have peace with humans again. But it was them who ended her life. Lucian was devastated. He was so close to her. She was his everything. After she left us, Lucian stopped talking much. We all did. Ezlyn wasn't born then. She never had the privilege of meeting Elis. Then again that's what makes her so pure and cheery." Xavier was now in tears. His face twisted as of in pain from recalling all those horrible things.

I didn't know what to say so I held him like he had held me. I decided to tell him something more about me.

"I love to dance. I always did when I became too sad or lonely. I used to dance all the time with my brother. After him, that's how I remember him. Maybe you should find something that makes you happy. Something that makes you feel alive again." I told him remembering my brother.

He simply laid his head on the pillow and closed his eyes.

"Sleep." I said "I'm right here" I said repeating his words.
