"Bye Umji!" I say to my girlfriend at her doorstep. I kiss her cheek and she smiles at me.
"I'll see you tomorrow right?" She asks and I nod smiling at her. "Alright, bye Jiminie,"
I smile and wave at her a last time before she closes the door. I turn away from her house and frown. Umji's not a bad girl, she's really friendly and a great person to be friends with but I don't like her as much as she likes me.
I walk down the street with my hands in my pockets. I look down at the road the whole time, looking at all the puddles the rain caused. Luckily it stopped pouring when Umji and I left the cafe. I cross the street and onto the street I live on. I walk on the sidewalk until I reach the house that my parents bought a little over a month ago.
I sigh and run my finger through my hair. I've only been here for a month and I've already ran into Taehyung.
I walk up to my front door and unlock it, stepping inside.
"Eomma, I'm home!" I call out and take my shoes off. I walk into the kitchen where my mother is preparing food for dinner.
I lean against the counter and my mom puts a pan into the oven before backing up and facing me.
"How was your date with Umji?" she asks, taking her oven mitts off and putting them on the counter next to her. "It was pouring a little bit ago, did you guys get wet?"
"The date was great," I lie, faking a smile. I'm not going to tell her about the incident with Taehyung. I don't want her to worry about me anymore than she does. And after everything she's told me, we'd probably move again if I did tell her. We just got here and I didn't want to move yet, I kinda missed this place. "And we didn't get wet, we were in the cafe when it started raining and it stopped when we left so we were fine,"

"Thats god. You and Umji are great for each other, I can't wait for you two to get married. Your such a cute couple,"
I roll my eyes and give another fake smile to my mom. We met Umji and her family back in Busan when we lived there the past couple of years. We started dating a little under a year ago.
"Dinner will be done shortly, I'll all you down when it's ready," she says and I nod to her. I leave the kitchen and walk upstairs to my room.
I sit down on my bed and plug my phone into the charger. The screen lights up and I see that I have a message from Umji saying that she had fun furing the date tonight.
I send her a message back saying that I did too and shut my phone off. I set it down next to me on my bed and turn around so I'm facing the window thats next to my bed.
I stare outside and think about everything.
Everything would have been alright if I didn't meet Taehyung again. I don't even know why we moved back here anyway, my mother avoided the question whenever I brought it up. I was safe in Busan, much safer than I am now, here.
I frown. I have to admit that I do miss Taehyung. I'll never forget what we did together... the good and bad. I smile as I think of some of the memories we shared together than I remember what my mother told me and frown.
I can't believe I fell for him, sometimes I wish I never met him. But I'm also glad I did.
All I know is that I don't want to see him anymore. He's not good for me, none of them are.
I don't want to give him the chance to hurt me again.
