As we enter the entry doors, the rhythm is bouncing off the walls; the crowd is out in force and eager to party. The drinks are being served as quickly as the bartenders can prepare them, the talk is loud and people are hard to hear above the thumping music, and the dance floor is packed with sweaty people writhing to the beat.

''Where are they sitting?'' I asked Maver raising my voice over the thumping music.

''Hopefully, they chose a secluded place'' Maver muttered. I really hope so.

Just before I could call Jen, she called our names, making us turn in that direction.

Maver rolled his eyes and walked towards her, I was trailing behind him.

''Hey, guys!!'' Jen happily chirped in her joyful expression, the moment we stepped in front of the table. This place was thankfully secluded and the thumping music was low here. I noticed how they designed the surrounding with a lantern hung on top of the table, with two sofas across it. The dance floor, the bar, and everything were clearly visible from this vantage point.

Taking my seat I noticed a guy with gelled back black hair sitting across us; that might be the boyfriend. I and Maver sat across Jen and her boyfriend. He had a polite smile plastered on his face.

''Guys meet Jace my boyfriend'' Jen said happily looking at Jace with lovey sick eyes.

''Hello Jace, it's a pleasure to meet you. Jen keeps talking about you'' I replied with a smile.

''Good things I hope'' He replied with a smile nudging Jen, while she rolled her eyes.

''Jace, this is Arabella, the one who joined recently'' She introduced me with a glint of appreciation in her eyes, '' and this Maver, my best friend'' She replied, pleadingly looking at Maver, who was eerily calm and silent.

I nudged Maver with a smile plastered on my face, for him to talk while he just rolled his eyes. When he didn't do make any move to talk, I stomped on his feet.

''Ouch!'' He exclaimed sending me a piercing glare.

''Sorry I thought a cockroach was walking around'' I shrugged sending him an innocent look.

He muttered something incoherent under his breath and placed a polite an on his face.

''Hi, I am Maver, Jen's best friend and the one who kicks her boyfriend's asses when they become an ass'' He told with a fake smile making my and Jen's eyes widen.

''Maver!'' Jen exclaimed.

''it's fine baby, he's just looking after you'' Jace responded with an unwavering smile.

''Oh stop this crap'' Maver groaned and got up from his seat.

''I need a drink'' He stated to no one in particular and walked towards the bar.

''He's just-just'' Jen sighed slumping her shoulders in distress.

''It's fine baby, really, after all, you went through I expect him to be like that, no problem I know he's important for you, and I will win him over'' Jace winked towards Jen, making her lean on his shoulders.

'' I will be back, I need to use the washroom'' Jen told with a smile and left the table, leaving me alone with Jace.

And it was time for the awkward silence to take place, I looked at him and awkwardly smiled, he did the same.

''So, Jen told you recently joined. Did you just complete your university?'' He asked, trying to make small talk.

''Yep,'' I answered with a brief smile.

''that's amazing'' He replied.

I chuckled before he could throw another question.

''What?'' he asked.

''Nothing, it's just-It's understandable how much Jen means to you'' I replied with a soft smile.

''You have no idea'' He whispered.

''I am happy for her. Don't you dare break her heart'' I pointedly told him.

''Never in a million years''

Just like that, we made small talks here and there and I got to know more about him. While we were laughing Jen came and sat beside us, just after a while Maver joined as well, he briefly smiled at Jace and placed himself beside me. I saw Jen and Maver talking. I suppose she implanted some thought into his head.

While we were all in a heated conversation about some recent hot news, a familiar voice behind me called Jace,

''Hey man, what's up'' Jace told standing up and doing a fist bump. I still couldn't see his face as his back was facing me. A very familiar back.

Please not him, please not him.

Just as I was hoping it was not him, the person turned around making my breath hitch.

Sebastian.

''Guys, meet Sebastian, My friend'' Jace introduced with a smile. The moment our eyes met, my heartbeat accelerated. I was seeing him after a week, and he was still the same.

I mean obviously, you cannot change within a week.

He wore a black t-shirt which displayed the sculpture of his abs, on top of that he wore a black leather jacket with black jeans.

He smirked looking at me but it seemed to falter the moment his gaze moved beside me.

''Why don't you join us?'' Jace told with a smile. I looked at Jen, shaking my head as a no, while she just smirked.

Of course! She remembers him.

''Yeah, why don't you Sebastian, the more the merrier'' Jen smirked looking at me.

''Sure'' Sebastian said and placed himself beside Jace and smirked at me.

While they were talking Maver placed one of his hands on my shoulder, which caught Sebastian's eye, as he clenched his jaw.

''Is he your ex or sometime?'' Maver whispered with a sly smirk.

''No'' I whispered back,

''what are you doing?'' I couldn't help but ask.

''Then, there's no problem to have a little fun'' He whispered back with his smirk.

''Ella, do you want to repeat yesterday's night'' He seductively whispered, which was loud enough for everyone on the table to hear. I frowned.

What was he talking about?

Jen smirked after a while, as if she understood what he was doing, while Sebastian was glaring at Maver and Jace was just frowning.

''What are you talking about?'' I asked with a black expression.

What is wrong with him?

''You know what I am talking about'' He winked in my direction and smirked at Sebastian who, I was sure would break his jaw after this.

''Okay, guys!'' Jen chirped, ''Maver stop'' she glared at him, while he just burst into laughter.

''Let's order some shots!'' Jen exclaimed and asked the waiter to bring 20 shots.

I coughed drinking the first shot and after that drank more continuously. My head buzzed, while my body felt light.

''Let's dance Ella'' Jen exclaimed, grabbing my hands and dragged along with her.

The music got louder and louder, my body seemed to move on its own. I swayed my hips, and closed my eyes, I felt a scrutinizing gaze on me. I opened my eyes and met with the most beautiful ocean blue eyes; I have come across, I licked my lips when I saw how his eyes were hungrily scanning my body. My whole body got hot, it was screaming for attention, attention from a particular person.

I looked away my body was eerily heating up, a sensation ran across my thighs, something I never felt before. I noticed how he was sitting alone there and just looking at me like a predator. Jen and Jace were dancing while Maver was hooking up with a random blondie.

I swayed my hips more and closed my eyes, feeling the music. After a while, I felt two hands slide into my waist. My breath hitched as the familiar cologne invaded my nostrils. My back was on his front.

''What are you doing?'' He asked in a deep sexy voice.

I must be really drunk.

''Dancing'' I whispered and swayed my body, making him groan.

''This dress is killing me'' He huskily whispered, in my ears making my core burn.

I turned around kept my hands on his shoulders.
