"Hey I heard you were looking for a date to the snowball? Your really pretty and I'd love to go with you.." He calmly spoke.

"I'd love to Will! Thanks for asking me."

If you want I can take you to starcourt mall to pick out a dress.

"Thanks Will that's sweet. I've got cash by the way."

"Okay hop on my bike."

Instead of going home Will rode me to the mall. It didn't feel the same as riding the bike with Mike but Will is a nice friend.

We hopped off the bike and looked around a few stores. I couldn't really see anything I liked. Everything was going smoothly. Every now and then I'd make a stupid joke and Will would chuckle. Until I saw Mike. He was walking with Lucas. I overheard their conversation.

"I need to get her something.. fast."

"Hmm what about a ring?"

"A ring? I only have $3.50!"

"Chocolate?"

I bet Mike is buying something for Lena. Beautiful Lena. He catches my gaze and stops in his tracks. For a while we both stand in silence before Lucas breaks the tension.

"Soooo what are you guys doing here?" He asks.

"Well me and Will are shopping for outfits for the snowball." I reply. "Have you found a date yet?" I ask Mike knowing what the answer will be.

"No actually I haven't." He smiles.

What? Lucas shoots him a look.

"Well y/n.. if you wanna come round to mine to hangout at anytime you always can.."

"Ok?"

"So yea.. bye.. have a really great time.. and I'll miss you.."

"Bye??"

"That was so weird!" I told Will.

"Yeah. It's been going round the whole school he's going with Lena."

"Hm. I have an idea. Are you up for it?"

"Sure."

I explain to Will that I want him to go up to Mike and ask him if he's got a date to the snowball. Simple but we can see what he's up to.

Will goes over to Mike and Lucas whilst I pretend I'm browsing clothes.

I really like y/n. I'll do anything to make her happy. For some reason on our date she wants me to go to Mike? I'll do it though.

"Hey Mike." I wave.

"Hey."

"So have you got a date to the snowball yet?"

"Yeah Lena. But she asked me and I felt bad rejecting her. I really wanna ask y/n though. I really like her."

Oh.

"Oh.. um I'm sorry but I'm going with y/n."

"What?!" Lucas and Mike both chorused.

"Dude. You can't steal Mike's girl like that!" Lucas gave me a look.

"Oh I'm sorry. You can go with her.

"No. Will asked her they deserve to have a good time. You go for it Will." Mike fake smiled. "Tell y/n I hope you have a great time together.

"Ok thanks." I returned back to y/n feeling content.

"So?"

"So he said that he wished us a good time."

"And the date?"

"He said he was going with Lena."

"Oh." I frowned but tried to hide it. I really wish Will was lying about all this but I feel like it's the truth. I was just the first girl to show him attention so that's why he asked me to the snowball. Now I told him to move on so he did. Typical.

I tried to enjoy the time shopping with Will but in the end I couldn't find a dress. I told Will I'd just look for one with Max another time. I thanked him and skated home.

Surprise surprise. Guess who I 'bumped into' on the way home. Mike Wheeler.

"Hey.. so I heard you were going to the snowball with Will?"

"Yeah. He asked me. I heard you were going with Lena."

"Yeah she asked me."

"Well. That's nice."

"I really wanted to go with you though." He blurred out.

"I did too. But I guess you just were desperate to move on." I saltily replied.

"Look. She asked me and I didn't want to reject her in front of everybody in the hallway."

"Mhm. Sure."

"I can prove it to you. But it's not like we were going together anyway. You literally told me to find someone else."

"This is my point Mike. If you really liked me you would of asked me again and again. You wouldn't of given up."

"Because I was upset. Really upset. That you don't like me."

"I do like you Mike."

"Well I like you too."
