One Week Later

Sara's POV

It's been a week since Charlotte was born and it's been very hectic. Jared had to go back to work the day after she was born. He's been working late and getting up super early. I know he loves his job but it would be nice if he could help more.

Right now Charlotte is asleep so I'm trying to enjoy my quiet time. She likes to cry at the most inconvenient times. Sometimes I'll be finally ready to relax after doing some work and then she'll need me. I can't blame her because she's just a baby. All I'm saying is it would be nice to have some help with her.

"Sara, Charlotte I'm home." Jared shouted as he opened the door.

"You're home early." I looked up from my book.

"Well I know how tired you are from waking up at odd times to take care of our daughter, so I got some time off so you can go enjoy a girls night out." He explained.

I smiled, "You're so sweet. Have fun taking care of Charlotte."

He gave me a confused look, "I thought you would object saying how you want to spend time as a family."

"Babe I love you and all but I need my girl time. Enjoy your night." I pecked his lips.

Turns out that Jared already told the girls to come get me. When I got to our room there was already an outfit set out. I don't know how he did that so fast but I'm not complaining. I quickly changed so I could leave.

I walked down the stairs to see Jared rocking our little girl. It was the cutest thing in the whole world. I'm very lucky to have a man like him and an amazing child.

"Sara come on let's go." Autumn shouted.

"When did you get in here?"

"We just walk in remember?" Alice replied.

"That's just how we roll." Autumn laughed.

"Come on guys, let's go." Cas whined.

"Yeah I want to know where we're going." I said.

"It's movie and mall night. Remember when we used to do these before graduation." Autumn spoke up.

"I miss those days," I sighed, "It doesn't seem that long ago."

We're arrived at the theater in record time thanks to Autumn. Sometimes I wonder how she got her license because of how fast she drives. Note to self never let her drive when Charlotte is in the car.

We were all busy trying to figure out which movie to see. Typically girls would want to see a romantic movie like Me Before You but is not so much. We all agreed to go see Captain America Civil War.

"Look at my man. Bucky is so attractive."

"You're crazy do you see Captain America? He's way more attractive."

"Whatever more Bucky for me."

I'm surprised we didn't get kicked out of the movie. Autumn was busy talking about how attractive Bucky was. So Alice had to say how much more Attractive Captain America was. Cas was trying to understand what was happening in the movie so she was asking many questions. I was trying to ignore all of their comments but that didn't work so well. By the end of the movie Alice and Autumn were in a very loud argument over who was hotter. It was entertaining to say the least.

"We're going to the mall now right?" Alice asked.

"Yeah I need to buy Charlotte some more clothes." I replied.

"Okay Sara we all know you adore Charlotte but you need to forget about her for one night. Let loose and just enjoy yourself." Autumn said.

"But Autumn she really needs someone new clothes. I should call Jared and see how many more onesies I need to get." I said while pulling my phone out.

Autumn stopped me, " Sara seriously pretend this is before all of that and just have a fun night."

"Jared would want you to." Alice added.

"I guess you're right. Now let's have a good time." I smiled.

We literally shopped till we dropped. By the end of the night we had at least six bags each. I ended up slipping in a few onesies from Charlotte when no one was looking. Most of the stuff I bought was for me, I know I'm super selfish. It's not my fault though the girls wanted me to buy myself things.

"I don't know about you guys but I'm super tired." Cas spoke up.

"Me too." Agreed Alice.

"Sara can we just sleep at your place?" Autumn asked.

"You're always welcome to stay at my house. Just remember to be quiet when we walk in. Charlotte might be asleep."

We got back home around 10 pm. I know it's not super late but it was still a fun night. Jared was fast asleep on the couch with Charlotte in his arms. I showed the girls to the spare bedroom before I went back to Jared.

"Babe," I poked his cheek,"Babe wake up."

He slowly opened his eyes, "You're home already?"

"Yeah I just got back." I said while setting down the many bags I was holding.

"Did you have a good time?" He asked.

"It was the most fun I had in awhile. I just wish I could've spent the night with you." I sighed while resting my head on his shoulder.

"You deserved this babe. I promise we will spend tomorrow night together, as a family." He smiled.

"Go put Charlotte in her crib and then we can go to bed."

"Yes ma'am." He said with a salute.

God he such a werido but he's my werido. I love him with all my heart and I know he loves me. I can tell he loves Charlotte just as much too. The way he looks at her is so adorable. He such a proud father and I just love it.
