Kelsey frowned as she jumped up and down on a yoga ball. She was one week past due. She had tried everything to go into labor and yet nothing was working. Jared tried his best to keep her comfortable but nothing seemed to be working. Kelsey sighed as very awkwardly got off the ball and headed downstairs. She found Jared with the kids making dinner. She smiled as he looked up at her and came around the island giving her a chaste kiss on the cheek. She smiled as she looked to find Noah hunched over his history book at the kitchen table. She walked over and looked over her shoulder as she said,"Whatcha reading about?" Noah just shrugged and as leaned back in his chair. He looked up at his Aunt and said," Well we have to write an essay on an historical event so I'm just trying to figure out what to write about. I was thinking of the Boston Tea Party or something. I don't know." Kelsey nodded as she looked into the book and quickly backed away and practically waddling as fast as she could to the bedroom. She quickly came back holding a manilla folder and said," How about the Mayflower. Did your mom ever tell you that our Ancestors came from the Mayflower." Jared's eyes grew in curiosity as he watched her sit down by Noah she handed him the manilla folder and said," All the information is in here. You see my grandma, your great grandmother loved history and tracked our family tree all the way back to the Mayflower. John Turner had two sons and later had a daughter. Her name was Elizabeth, anyway she was one of the few people to survive the first winter at Plymouth rock. She later went to Salem and got married, had a baby. So and so forth. It's all there." Noah quickly took the envelope and began reading away. She smiled as she awkwardly stood, as she stood a slight cramp travelled through her back and belly. She winced lightly catching Jared's attention. He frowned as he tossed a salad. He smiled lightly and said," You ok, babe?" This got Noah's attention as they looked at her as she wrapped her hands around her belly. The pain slightly grew as she sat back down. Kelsey shook her head 'no' as the pain finally passed. Kelsey couldn't help but smirk as she said," Hopefully that was my labor starting. It certainly felt like it." Jared gave her a nervous laugh as he watched her gently rub her belly. Him and Gen had three kids but the labor part always made him scared and nervous.

Jared looked at the clock to find it was almost three in the morning. Kelsey's contractions were forty five minutes apart. Kelsey leaned against the bed as Jared gently rubbed her lower back. She let out a long guttural, groan as another contraction rammed it's way through her lower back and belly. Kelsey cursed under her breath before she said," Jared, when did Genevieve think it was time to leave when she had the boys and Odette?" Jared just smiled as he gently rubbed her back. He kissed the back of her neck and said," Right after her water would break. But whenever you're ready to to we'll go, Kels. Noah's already at Dominic's and the kids are with my mom so if you want to leave we'll leave." Kelsey nodded as she carefully stood up straight and turned around. She looped her arms around his middle and said,"I'm ready to leave." Jared just nodded as he gently kissed her lips and then helped her up on the bed before he went to the closet. He pulled out a pair yoga pants and one of his t-shirts before walking back to the bed. He smiled as he said," Let's get you changed and we'll go." He pulled off her nightgown and helped her slip on his t shirt. He helped her down and slip on her yoga pants. He kissed her temple and said," The bags are by the door and so are your flip flops. So you have everything you need?" Kelsey just nodded Jared went over to the closet himself and slipped off his pajama pants. He pulled out a pair of jeans and a t shirt. He quickly put them on helped her down the stairs. He got her in the car before running back to get the bags. He came back and loaded them in the backseat beside the car seat. She smiled back at the car seat. She was finally having her baby.

They were ten minutes from the hospital when a another contraction hit. Kelsey held Jared's hand as she took deep long breaths. She let out loud yelp as her water broke. She felt his knuckles pop under hand as she breathlessly said," My water just broke. Jared, it just broke." Jared pushed on the gas and nodded. Jared brought her hand up to lips and gently kissed her knuckles. Jared pulled away and said,"It's alright. We're almost there, babe. Long deep breaths." Kelsey just nodded as she started taking deep, long breaths. That's when she felt it, she needed to push. Jared watched from the corner of his eye as she took off her seat belt and began shimmying her pants off. Jared's eyes widened as she said," I need to push, Jared. I can feel the baby coming." Jared quickly pulled over at a gas station and ran over to her side of the car. Jared opened the door and helped Kelsey pull her pants down. He helped her spread her legs and saw the baby was already crowning. He looked up at her larged eyes and said,"Kelsey the baby's already crowning! You need to push!" Kelsey just nodded as she began pushing. She screamed as she held onto the console, leaving scratch marks into the leather. Kelsey's scream turned into a loud groan as she leaned back against the seat, out of breath. Jared grabbed his phone and quickly dialed 911. He quickly told them where he was and what happening before putting it on speaker phone and throwing it on the dash. Kelsey began pushing again grabbing Jared's shoulders as the 911 operator said," The paramedics need to to know what's happening sir. How far along is she in labor, sir?" Jared couldn't help but roll his eyes as he held out his hands ready to catch if need to. He cleared his throat and said," She's almost pushed out the baby's head." He looked up at Kelsey and said," You're almost there, Babe. Keep pushing." Kelsey just nodded as she screamed out, feeling the baby shift inside her. She kept pushing as a burning started. A burn she remembers all to much, the ring of fire. That meant the baby's head was almost out. Kelsey groaned as she leaned back as the contraction ended. She breathlessly smiled at Jared and said," I'm sorry, Jared. We weren't supposed to have the baby in the parking lot of a gas station." Jared just gently kissed her lips as sirens and red and blue lights interrupted their kiss. He pulled away as two paramedics ran towards them. Jared moved away as one the paramedics quickly assessed the situation. He heard Kelsey groan knowing her contractions had started again. He couldn't help himself as he made his way over to the driver's side of the car and hopped in. He saw her hand and quickly grabbed it as one if the paramedics said," If you're having a contraction, ma'am, you need to push. The baby's head is almost out, you're very close." Kelsey just nodded as she put her chin to her chest, bearing down. Jared got on knees and got as physically close as he could to her trying to give her comfort. He kissed her temple as she groaned and squeezed his hand. The paramedics smiled and said," Good job, ma'am, the head's out. You're almost there." Kelsey leaned back against Jared as the contraction ended. She looked at the paramedic and said," Call me ma'am one more time. I don't care if I'm in labor but I'll hurt you and I'll hurt you bad." The paramedic looked at her with wide eyes as he looked to Jared. Jared just chuckled and said," Her name's Kelsey. Trust me, I've heard her say worse." Kelsey began pushing again as another contraction began wracking through her body. She gasped and slumped against Jared. The car was filled with silence till a loud cry was heard. The paramedic looked up at Kelsey from the baby and said," It's bouncing baby boy." Tears sprung from Kelsey's as she looked down at her baby boy. Jared's eyes watered as he kissed her cheek looking down at the baby. The paramedic looked up at him and said," Dad, you wanna cut the cord?" Before he could say 'no', Kelsey looked up at him and nodded her head 'yes'. Jared smiled widely and came around the car. The paramedic gave him the scissors and showed him where to cut. He shakily cut the cord and watched as they put a pair of clamps on the baby before starting to move Kelsey onto a stretcher.

Around six o'clock that morning Kelsey sat in hospital bed watching sleepy Noah hold his baby cousin. Noah smiled down at the baby as a swift knock came to the door. Jared walked in with a huge smile on his face as Sharon, Gerald and the kids followed behind them. Jared walked over and sat in the chair beside Kelsey as Sharon went to look over Noah's shoulder. She smiled and said,"What's this cutie's name?" Kelsey smiled as she took Jared's hand in hers as she looked up to Sharon. She smiled and said," His name is Kane Tristan Saddler." Noah's smile grew as Sharon's eyes teared up. Noah turned and handed her to Sharon. Sharon held the baby close to her as Gerald came and wrapped an arm around her shoulders. Odette crawled up in the bed with Kelsey. Odette leaned against her chest as Tom yawned and said," Daddy said you had the baby in the car!" Noah looked up with his mouth wide open and then looked to the baby. Noah pointed to the baby and said," You're telling me that you had a nine pound baby in Jared's car? Jeez!" Kelsey couldn't help but giggle as another knock came from the door. Shep ran to the door and opened to let a very tired Jensen and Daneel in. Jensen smiled at the couple and said," So I hear we got a baby." Kelsey smiled as Sharon waved them closer to take a look at Kane. Sharon laid the baby gently in Jensen's arms as he said," Good God woman. He's huge." Kelsey let an exaggerated sigh and nodded, making Jared chuckle. Jared smiled and said," He's nine pounds and eleven ounces." Jensen's grew as he looked down at the baby, lightly shaking his head. Daneel as she looked at the baby in Jensen's arms. Jared looked around the room and realized how happy he was. His family was here his kids, his parents, the man he's called his brother for fifteen years, Noah and the woman he loved. He stood clearing throat, drawing everyone's attention. He smiled and said," I never thought in a million years I'd feel this happy again but here I am." He looked to Kelsey and kneeled in front of her taking her hands in his. He smile grew as said,"I know I don't have a ring and I know asked you to promise to stick around awhile but I've decided that I can't wait awhile. I love you and I want to marry you. So will you marry me?" Kelsey couldn't speak. She was overwhelmed. In the last several hours she had a baby and now the man she loved was kneeled in front of her asking her to marry him. Kelsey gave him a sly smile and said," So what's it gonna be Mr. Padalecki, are you gonna kiss me or not?" Jared smirked before taking her in for a long kiss.
