《Adopted By Laurenzside》Chapter 11

Mom and Dad said we are moving. I'm helping mom pack all Carter and Luna's toys.
"Mom! Luna stole my blanket!" Carter runs in yelling, pointing at Luna who is walking in with Carter's blanket trying to hand it to him.
Mom laughs and continues to pack.
To be honest I think moving will be good for this family. Over the last two months it's been finding the murder, finding the murder, finding the murder. I actually was the one who found the murder. Robert Tee was his name. He never said why he wanted to murder everyone but he is a murder.
"Alright, done with the toys!" Mom pulls me out of my thoughts smacking her hands together. I grab the box and carry it out to the car. I put it in the trunk. I walk back in and look at our empty house.
I remeber growing up here. And when I first got Tucker when I was 12. Dad and I still have father daughter day but now we have it with Luna as well. Which usaully we go out to eat at a restaurant with a play place so Luna can play while dad and I watch and talk about life.
Carter pulls on my pants, that brings me out of my thoughts. "Sissy, who am I riding with?" He asks and I pick up the small boy.
"Ugh, your getting so heavy!" I laugh and so does he. I carry him into dad and mom's room. "Mom, Dad who is Carter riding with?" I ask kindly.
"Your father honey." Mom says talking to Dad.
I carry Carter to dad's truck and put him in his carseat. I buckle him in and tickle his stomach.
"You be a good boy for dad, okay?" I ask tickling him. He laughs.

"O-okay!" He says still laughing. I smile and close his door.
I walk inside again and pick Luna up tickling her as well. She giggles and I carry her to mom's car. I put her in her carseat and give her a snack and her sippy cup, as I buckle her in.
"Everything good?" I ask and she giggles, nodding. I smile and kiss her forehead shutting her door and getting in the passenger side.
I check my phone and see I got a message from my online friend.
"Hey, I heard you were moving to Pittsburgh, tell me when you get here so we can have some fun. There is a boy here who is exactly your type!" I read the text smiling. I forgot she lives in Pittsburgh. What a pleasant surprise.
Mom comes in and I buckle up. She puts her hand on my cheek and smiles, I smile back at her and she rubs her thumb against my cheek.
"Its time for a new beginning." I say with a smile and she nods. We both laugh when we hear Luna making raspberries in the backseat.
Mom starting driving and I look out my window waving at our old house. It's time for a new beginning.

A King in the Clouds
Tanlar. A cruel, repulsive, and foul word. It meant untitled, officially, but it also meant ungifted, unable, unworthy, unnecessary, unhuman. It was more a curse than a term, a badge only the damned and condemned wore. To be a tanlar was to know your life, your entire being, was insignificant. Once Kaizer had resigned himself to such a fate, but those times had passed. He may have been untitled, but he was anything but untalented. He refused to scrape by at the bottom of society. Those who stood above him could sneer all they liked, but he wouldn’t suffer being stepped on for long. He’d be better, much better. But of course he would be. ‘Fate’ demanded it so. [Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] What To Expect: The story of a boy becoming a man becoming a king + everything that entails. Largely gamelit, but later arcs could be called litrpg. Also schemes. A lot of schemes. I do love some good ol' fantasy politics and intrigue. Minimum Word Count a Week: TBA after Writathon Release Time(s): Daily for as long as I can/until the end of the Writathon. I also write The Deathseeker [Returning Dec 5th]
