Prologue ▪ The King's Queen
If anyone wishes to make a cover for this story or if you have any questions, .
(This has a difderent ending to the description, so I suggest you to read it completely or skip the beginning.)
The world has gotten boring to him after living for many centuries, through many generations.
He thought of it as a curse. His gift was anything but a gift, in his opinion.
He loved killing people. He always has. He enjoyed seeing the life being drained out of them, quite literally.
He always drank every last drop of their life essence, he didn't have mercy.
Though he was the king that seemingly owned the world, there was something he could never have, unlike the majority of his kind. A soulmate.
He hadn't been turned like most. No, he was born a monster from human parents.
The first of his kind.
Why he was born like it, he didn't know. He didn't care. All he knew was that he had suffered enough while being mentally weak and physically strong. Since he had no mate to look forward to, his life had been dull.
He lived because he had to. He had no reason to be alive, no life to look forward to. He had many to die and even though he tried many times by many methods, none of them suceeded.
He staked himself, on multiple occasions.
He hung himself. He didn't die, but he hung there, very much conscious.
He went on the gillotine. It made his body dissapear and reappear in the same spot he was born in.
He took his heart out. He grew one back.
He bled out. His blood regenerated.
He used silver stakes. They burned his flesh.
He overdosed. It did nothing but make him feel delirious.

After he tried everything he could and it all failed, he started living life to the fullest - or trying to.
He 'dated' many of the most beautiful women in the world, the new one and the old. None of them fulfilled the emptiness in his heart.
All he ever needed was her. But all he got were non-important girls he had fun with and left alone. He never felt anything for them.
He tried, but he always failed.
But then on that day while he was walking around a small town's forest, he felt the emptiness slowly being filled up a bit.
He stood there in shock. He couldn't believe it. He almost cried of happiness, right then and there.
He had her. He had a mate. His one and only mate.
His Queen.

A (Not So) Simple Fetch Quest
Oh great hero! The evil Demon Lord has once again arisen to terrorise our lands, and we have summoned you to save our people! No, we don't want you to fight the demon lord! Of course not; we're the good guys! What sort of good guys kidnap people from other worlds and force them to take part in wars that have nothing to do with them? That would just be plain evil! We'd be no better than the demons! Katie, after her summoning by an excessively loud mage suddenly takes an unexpected twist, is sent off on a simple fetch quest, with a promise that she'll be back home in five minutes at most. She doesn't even need to leave the building. Alas, when a goddess' blessing causes her wish for an actual adventure to be taken rather more literally than she expected, she finds herself lost in a dark cave, far away from the sword she was supposed to acquire and far too close to a population of giant bugs. Still, at least she wished her life wasn't in any danger. Among other things. Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it. This is a dark litRPG adventure, both in terms of Katie accidentally wishing all the lights out, and also in that she loses as often as she wins, often with horrific and disturbing consequences. Luckily, Katie isn’t the sort of person to let a mere grizzly death or two get her down, and is prepared to try, try and try again to get her hands on the holy sword and finally complete her ‘simple’ fetch quest. Or perhaps—with a few resistance skills under her nightie—she might even come to enjoy losing. Not that she’d ever consider forgoing revenge, even if she did. I’ve ticked all the content warning checkboxes for this one. There’s no explicit sexual content, but there are enough references to justify the warning. Profanity happens rarely, but Katie isn’t averse to swearing when she gets particularly angry. As for gore/trauma, it doesn’t get much worse than the first few chapters, but there will be occasional chapters that have extra content warnings.

Stonequiet: A Proficiomancer in Another World
It was in a dream that I heard her voice. She, a goddess, had offered me a place to be her champion and heal my pain, but I declined. Even with that someone else decided to take me away regardless of my choice. It was not long before I realized I was not the only one taken. Eleven of us were forced into this world in order to fight monsters. My girlfriend and her best friend were taken as well. I had little interest in fighting for a nation that would kidnap people from another world. So by the grace of god, I was given access to the Grimoire Magic System in which a game-like system was offered to me. It even included an in-game shop. With this we will find a way back to Earth.
