Chapter Seventeen - Part One ▪︎ The King's Queen
A/N I want to make the book third person from now on. Sometimes you will get first person views ( P.O.V. ) but i don't know when.
Sorry if it's confusing
ady informed The King of Dahlia's possible location. His eyes darkened and he ran to it. He knew where she was.
Maybe if he wasn't so clouded by his emotions he would have remembered the old treehouse in the middle of the forest.
He ran to the exact location but the treehouse was empty. He could smell lycan blood seeping from the unconscious beast lying on the kitchen floor. The King, now in control of his beast, listened for his heart beat and sure enough, he heard it. It was strong and in any minute the beast would wake up.
"Chain him in silver and take him to the dungeons." He spoke.
He noticed the almost surgical cut along his wrist and it made him confused. Why would she waste time and risk him waking up to cut his wrist?
'The blood,' Thanatos spoke suddenly, 'she needed his blood.'
'Why?' The King questioned.
'Go and find out.' He scoffed.
"Useless piece of shit." The King muttered to himself before going out of the cabin and trying to follow a non-existing trail.

Dahlia was running towards the river she knew had to be near due to the moisture in the air. She held onto the jug of blood in her hands like it was her life.
In a way, she felt that it was. She couldn't imagine living without it.
She found the river, but the current was too strong for her to swim in it. She had another idea.
She started stripping her clothes and she kneeled next to the puddle of muddy water. She scooped some mud in her hands and started to cover herself in it. She kept her underwear on for hygenic purposes, but she washed it in the river to erase as much of her scent as she could.

After she was done, she drank the rest of the blood and tossed the jug into the strong river along with her clothes. Before she tossed it, she got an idea. She took off her tank top and put it in the jug with blood still covering the inside of it. She thought it would preserve a bit of the scent.
She just hoped The King wasn't the one looking for her.
***
He went to the river and suprisingly, he could smell the scent of what he imagined was her pleasure hormones/chemicals and the lycan's blood together.
What in the world is going on?
He knew it was a fake trail because it was too combined to be the real thing. Instead, he followed the footprints left in the mud.
She was too sloppy for a trained assasin of sorts, and it worried him. What's going on?
He knew who she was and which family she came from. Of course he didn't like it, but he was starting to doubt she was trained. One of them wouldn't leave footprints behind when running from a beast.
He saw the mess of brown hair matted in mud that truly didn't conceal her scent that well.
He's a vampire for heaven's sake, mud doesn't work on them - unless she wasn't running from him, but the lycan.

New ones coming after that! _________________________________________________________________ Sneak Peek: Next to the kitchen, there was a small squared table and two wooden chairs, each made from different wood. The bookshelf behind those contained a decent amount of books. I stood up to take a closer look at them and even opened a few out of curiosity. While I could read most of them just fine, some of the oldest-looking books were written in a language I didn't recognize. "Hm? Was my hand always blue?" I didn't remember. In fact, I couldn't recall anything about myself, not even my name. Inspecting the rest of my body, I found that it was the same all over. I didn't feel sick; quite the opposite. Still, my blue skin felt out of place for some reason. Trying to find an answer to my situation, I kept investigating the odd room. _________________________________________________________________ Big thanks to Alice Griffin for helping me out with the cover.

The Weaver's Wrath
Millennia have passed since the end of the God Wars. Mankind's heroes of these wars, the powerful Luminescents, have since become the rulers of the lands, relying on their ancestors' deeds to fuel their own ambitions. The Church itself has fractured since the death of their Goddess. Now it has shifted its focus to a new power - the descendents of the men and women who had received her blessing in the past - the Luminescents. However, with the death of the Goddess Selene, their own abilities began to lessen in quality with each successive generation, leaving them grasping desperately at whatever they can; money, lands, power. Sevrath was born in a time far different than that of ages past. Much of the continent was under the rule of the powerful Luminescent rulers. The Gods were dead and gone; the age of man had begun. Only the Desolate Lands lay unconquered and resolute, a relic of the power of Deimos, the God of Death and Destruction. So when he is found near the borders of the Desolate Lands, what does it mean? Is he some spawn of demon, like many of the townsfolk of Carthal believe, or something else altogether? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This will not necessarily be something that is updated often.
