《Raising Rio》9| temper tantrums

Listening to Luca's words, the family immediately scrambled to their feet. Franco rushed towards Luca, collecting his little girl into his arms.
If anything where to happen to Rio, he would want to be there to comfort her.
Franco guided himself, Charlie, Rio and his son's out of the penthouse onto the busy streets of New York City.
Franco was beyond the point of angry, he remained in a calm manner but, the slightest thing would make him snap at any moment. He couldn't help but think who would threaten a little girl on their birthday-the thoughts sent his fried brain into overdrive.
"Daddy, I left Olive!" Rio screeched, she wriggled in his hold wanting him to let her go so, she could claim her bunny.
"Baby, Olive will be fine." Charlie attempted to hush her daughter's whines and cried, that were slowly sending Franco to the verge of a breakdown.
"No, she won't! I want Olive!" Charlie carried on wriggling in Franco's hold, accidentally head butting Franco in the process.
"Rio, stop it now!" Franco shouted at the little girl. Never before had he shouted or even slightly raised his voice at his princess but, today was the first for that.
Everyone was in shock, they never expected Franco to ever raise their voice or have even the slightest of anger towards Rio. After all, she had only turned three.
Rio's bottom lip began to quiver, tears filled her eyes at a very fast rate. She was very upset, scrap that she was scared-very scared of her own daddy and what he would do to her.
Rio turned away from her daddy and faced one of her brothers, she held her arms out in front of her; gesturing to them that she wanted to be held by one of them. She didn't want to be near her daddy at the minute.

She was heartbroken, she never wanted to make her daddy mad. To realise she had angered him to the point of an outburst, caused her chest to ache.
Marcello took Rio from his dad's arms into his own, he didn't miss his saddened expression when Rio turned her back in him. 'Who could blame her?' Marcello thought to himself, if he were Rio he would drop kick their dad.
Charlotte and the others stared at Franco with widened eyes. Never in the three years Rio had been with them, had Franco showed so much aggression. But, who could blame him either. Rio had received a bomb as a birthday present.
Before anyone could say anything, Franco pulled out his phone and began dialling different numbers. He wanted to figure out who could have possibly got into the small family party and how they went unnoticed.
"Cassius, I need you to access the CCTV footage surrounding the perimeter and the insides of the house, I then need you to send it to me immediately." Franco spoke through the phone, he put one finger into his ear wanting to block out the sound of the busy streets of New York.
As soon as he ended the call, a sleek, black limousine pulled up to where they were standing. Almost immediately, Franco guided himself and Charlotte towards the limousine-letting his children follow behind.
They needed to leave the country and they needed to do it fast.
"What about Olive?" The sleepy, little girl mumbled to Marcello. He just shushed her and proceeded to rock her gently in his arms, lulling her to a deep sleep.
Frankie and Luca chuckled at the scene before them, never in their life had they seen their brother act so sweet and calm. It was a refreshing side of him to see, they were normally used to him getting into fights and beating his victims to the point of death-before they had to physically drag him away.

Once everyone was seated in the luxurious limousine, the driver drove them as fast and as safely as he possibly could to the nearest airport. Luckily, Franco owned many airlines and private planes.
Therefore, he could fly to any country at any possible time he would like, with the click of his fingers. The drive to the airport was tense, even though the beautiful little girl was fast asleep in Marcello's arms-everyone was questioning silently how Franco could react like he did towards Rio.
It was all very confusing for everyone, no doubt even for the little girl who was currently fast asleep in sleepy land as well.
Charlotte being the mature mother-hen she is, decided to break the ice. "Where are we flying to, my love?"
Franco sighed, running a hand down his face. "We are going to Rio, mia Regina ." (my Queen)
Charlotte stared in awe at her husband, he knew how much Rio meant to her. It was the place where she gave herself to him, it was the city where their precious, little girl was conceived out of act filled with love.
However, the three brother's looked at their father and Charlotte with crazed expressions. "Have you spoken to the Comando Vermelho family?"
"What are we going to do about the Stidda?"
"Do you know who planted the explosive device in the penthouse?"
"Olive?"

A/N:
Hello my lovelies, I am sorry about the one upload a week. I have decided that from this Monday onwards I will aim to upload at least three times per week because, it's really unfair of me to leave you hanging.
I have decided that it's best for me to be honest with you all. I suffered with an eating disorder the past couple of years and I am only now in recovery.
The reason why su haven't been uploading as much as I wanted to is because, I have been focusing solely on my eating disorder that it took up my writing time.
I am really sorry about that but, I promise to be uploading more regularly now. I am sorry and I hope you can forgive me.
Lots of love,
Mia. X

The Werewolf Cheerleader
Being a cheerleader is easier than being a werewolf. Jessica Tumbleleague is a typical teenage girl who loves being a cheerleader at Moondale High. But after an encounter with a werewolf in the woods, Jessica discovers a frightening world she never thought is real. Dangerous magic, deadly fierce spirits, and other malevolent creatures. Now Jessica must fight the forces of darkness to protect her hometown while balancing her supernatural life with her high school life. But can she control the beast within herself? Note: This is a rewrite of the original with the same name. I decided to change the third-person style to first-person because I liked Jessica's voice better. She is funny and very strong. With the story only focusing on her, I can keep the mystery suspenseful and the reader can experience what Jessica is experiencing. It is a typical YA style, but it is fun to write as your main character. There are changes, but the first and second books will be similar to the third-person chapters. Let me know what you think and I hope you will enjoy this new version of the Werewolf Cheerleader. I will post the chapters every Friday in the afternoon. P.S, there is a Werewolf Cheerleader short story published in the Tales of Dungeons, All Hallows book. Titled The Werewolf Cheerleader: Castle and Ghouls. The short is also in first-person, which made me decide to change the book series into first-person. The link is below if you want to check it out. https://www.royalroad.com/amazon/B08MCS82R5

Sometimes the Dungeon Core doesn't know that.
