Ethan's POV

After I left Aiddan with my mother I went back to my car and started to drive to Marco's place. As I was practically speeding down the streets of New York I couldn't help but think about Silver and I's past. We might not have been together the entire time Aiddan had been alive but we still have a past before him.

The night he had been conceived. We had both been brokenhearted and drunk that night. It was yet another night for me at the bar. But as soon as my eyes laid upon her something in me must have clicked. Because ever since that night I haven't touched a drop of alcohol and I found a safer father's death. I had thrown myself into my work and ever since Silver, I haven't slept with another woman. They all seemed to pale in comparison to the blurry beauty that had helped me unknowingly cope with my father's passing.

That night when she was telling me about how she had turned to the bar after her fiancé had left her is when I realized that I may have lost my father but I could still help others. That even though I was heartbroken I could still help others through tough times.

I started focusing more on my job and I replaced half of my company. Anyone who was inherently wealthy already was relocated to a different company of mine and I gave jobs to men and women who had been laid off, rejected by other companies, homeless, anyone who needed money. And I started donating my money to charities that my father had previously been associated with. Anything that helped others I did.

I may membered much about her after that night but I do know that it was love at first sight. When I woke up to my mother instead of her I felt a feeling I couldn't explain then. But now. I know what it was. It was disappointing that the love of my life had left me after a one night stand.

Granted, after she left I did try to locate her but even Marco and his brother couldn't find her. It was like she just disappeared from New York completely. After a few months I gave up and threw myself further into my work. And until a few months ago I never thought about her again. That was until the interview. Although I didn't recognize her completely I had seen something familiar in her. She had changed since the last time, and only, time I saw her. She had matured into an absolutely breathtaking woman that I am so proud to call mine.

And now she was in trouble. She had been kidnapped and our relationship had just started. For god's sake, we just became intimate.

Shit. I cursed under my breath as I realized we never used protection. Was she on the pill? Not that I wouldn't mind having another little one running around the house but she has been kidnapped for Pete's sake. Anything could happen to her and the child. If there was a child.

If this creep is crazy enough to kill Aiddan I had no doubt that if he found out that Silver might be pregnant that he would kill the unborn child.

Determined I hurry faster to Marco's to tell him the urgency of finding her.
