《Silver》40

Ethan's POV
As I stepped out of the shower a loud, repetitive pounding started to shake my front door. Annoyed, I wrap a towel around my waist before starting towards the noise. Yanking open the door I get ready to yell at whoever was causing the loud noise but am shocked when I see Silver fall forward from the momentum of the door.
Catching her arm I stood there not knowing if it was real. Gently I steadied her before grabbing her closer to me and embracing her. She's here. Actually here. How? That was when I noticed two kids behind her. Who are they? And why did they look so scared?
"Silver?" I asked, afraid to actually believe it was her.
"Yes." She whispered as I felt tears stain my shirt. "It's me."
"What happened? How are you here? Does anyone else know you're here?" I fired out the questions faster than she could possibly give me answers. Silently laughing at myself I bury my face in her hair as we stand there.
"Before I tell you anything, can we go inside please?" She questioned pulling away as she grabbed the two children behind her and ushered them in front of her.
Not bothering to argue with her about who they were, I step aside and let them in. At the moment I could care less who those kids were as long as my Silver was inside, safe with me. Exactly where she belonged.
Quickly, the three of them entered the house. Silver led them to the kitchen before making herself at home with her surroundings. Wordlessly she started grabbing supplies to make sandwiches.
Up until now, I hadn't realized how much weight she seemed to have lost. Guilt plagued my mind. I should have tried to find her more. I should have done something to make the police actually help us. My son shouldn't have had to worry about where his mother was. Most of all I should have protected her. She shouldn't have gotten kidnapped.

"I'm sorry." I whispered as I watched her give the two children sandwiches.
"For what?" she frowned in confusion, causing her nose to scrunch up in a cute manner.
"For not being capable enough to find you. To save you. Protect you." I fight back the tears that threaten to spill from the corners of my eyes. "I understand if you don't want to stay. If you don't trust Aiddan to be with me."
Silver slowly started to laugh. I watched confused as she walked up to me. Looking down at her I close my eyes as she gently wipes away a tear that had made its way down my cheek. She silently kissed my lips as if I were to break if she added any pressure.
"I don't blame you for anything that has happened. And I will never leave you. Unless you make me." She laughed, smiling up at me. "Besides. It doesn't matter if you saved me. All that matters is that I am here."
I didn't bother to say anything. I just grabbed her in my arms and hugged her as if she were going to disappear any minute. Opening my eyes, I look behind her and see the boy looking at me blankly and the girl looking in awe. The two kids looked to be related but I couldn't figure out why they were here with Silver.
Silver turned her attention to where I was looking. Then she turned back to me with a knowing look.
"Get my brother here, and then I'll explain how I escaped." She replied turning serious as she walked back towards the children.
Not wasting any time I fish out my phone and call Ashton.

Lone: The Wanderer [Rewrite]
Nine-to-five. The daily grind. Life. Painful years of school. Working as a slave for some undeserving corporate big-wig. The monotonous life of unemployment. We all experience this in one way or another, and we can all conclude one thing: it's dull. Such a fact rings true even for the fabled Lone Immortus, a powerful nine-tailed Golden Foxkin. However, what would you do if your monotony was suddenly ground to a halt and you were thrown out of your comfort zone along with a young girl forgotten by time? Perhaps you might have done things differently, been more organised, immediately died, gained control of the world in a matter of days, but this is Lone's tale, not yours. Watching two insecure people struggle to survive and find their place in an unfamiliar land just might be enjoyable to witness. Who knows? One thing's for certain: it won't be an easy path for them to tread, and what could possibly be more entertaining than watching people endure hardships and grow? I know of at least eight gods that would answer with, 'Absolutely nothing.' I wonder, after seeing this journey from start to finish, how would you answer? The Nomad: A Starforged ttrpg Playthrough
Life in The Forge is rarely fun, least of all when you've got an AI that wants to turn you over to the authorities, a stolen ship full of creepy cult shit, and you've pissed off the only guy in the Devil's Helix who doesn't want you dead through sheer incompetence. Unfortunately for Ash, worst courier in the helix, that's his day-to-day. When he gets offered an opportunity to get back into this boss's good graces (and finally get something decent to eat), Ash jumps at the chance, even if that means getting tangled back up with figures he'd rather leave in the past. This is a solo play log of Shawn Tomkin's ttrpg Starforged, as such, even I don't know what's going to happen next! Enjoy the ride!
