《Over Chai And Coffee ✔》Chapter:3

•Rakshit•
Right now we were standing inside our new room glaring the manager of the hotel.
Or you can say, Melon was glaring him while I was just checking the room out. Because let's just say, angry Drishti isn't someone that you want to stand and my damn new habit of irritating her wasn't helping either, so before I could utter something and irritate her, I found it good to check the room out instead.
Oh wow, the floor looks so marvelous and damn, the white paint look oolala.
And woah! The plain black windows though look like grapes, impressive.
"Didn't you say, that you have two rooms available. And now you are saying that there's just one? God! We legit had to leave our option of going to the hotel which was before yours but you brought us here and now this?"
At this point I felt sorry for the manager because seeing melon angry was kinda creepy. Even Halloween won't be enough to say how scary she looked right now.
Happy halloween by the way.
I sighed and turned towards melon, who was giving the manager death glares.
"Melon, it's okay. We'll somehow adjust and it's just a few days, it's not like we are here for a while long term vacation."
"No it isn't okay." She hissed back at me and then turned towards the manager again.
Okay now this was it.
In a jiffy she was pulled towards me, with both my hands occupied; one on her mouth and the other one embracing her waist.
"Mhmpf oomph" I ignored her glares and turned towards the manager giving him a sheepish smile.
"Umm thank you so much, Sir. We'll take the room." With that I somehow grabbed the keys and managed to take a Humpty-dumpty melon to our room.

"You dumbass. I was talking to him no, why did you grab me like that and wait, how the hell are we going to stay in one room. Me and you? Ha! Jesus have mercy on me."
"Ditto, I want to say the same. But now we don't have any other options, rather then staying in one room and eating each others head." Grabbing an apple I sunk in the comfortable bed that was standing royally in the room.

Actually we have, we can eat fruits instead of head now that's what I call tasty.
Melon too sat in front of me, her eyes not leaving mine for a second.
Romantic? Ha.
I would say it's scary.
The way she was glaring me I wished that people wouldn't have to come to visit my grave soon.
I was going to bite my apple when suddenly I remembered something.
"Melon, tell me one thing. You aren't a doctor right?"
"Why?"
"Because I'm going to eat this apple and as you know, apple a day keeps the doctor away. And I don't want you to go away because that we'll only end up to one thing: problem." This time it was she who chuckled.
"Right now, I wish that you were a doctor so that I could eat an apple and you would go away. " I kept my hand on my heart acting to be hurt.
But are you really acting?
"Ouch, that hurt." I said scowling.
"Exactly, so now tell me. In what mess are we in." The light tone in our surrounding was now substituted with a heavy layer of tension filling the waft in the room.
I sighed as the last piece of apple went into my stomach, giving her full attention. At some point I knew I had to do this so be it now.
Biting my lips, I raised my head up making my eyes have contact with hers.
"I- huh see melon I guess, it's because of me that somehow you fell in trouble and I would've not even got you here with me if that person hadn't seen us together, but then if now I hadn't taken you with me you would've been in trouble or worse you wouldn't be alive to face the trouble, just.... It's because of me you are here and I know my sorry won't do any good but still melon... I'm sorry. " By now, I could feel the mattress besides me going down and a soft pair of hands touching my enlaced knuckles.
"Hey Rakshit, it isn't your fault. Well though it would have been if you had left me there because I wouldn't be here to protect you, you know and you would be the one probably not alive so instead of feeling sorry you should be thankful or well instead, you can just say that chai is better then coffee." I chuckled at her attempts of lighting up my mood and it was helping somehow but not fully.

The guilt of what would have happened if the bullet would've hit her was eating me from inside. But I was certainly relieved that she didn't ask me why that person was behind me because I knew that I wouldn't be able to answer this after hiding who I really was I couldn't open up and put her life more into danger.
No, I can't and neither can my trust issues.
Some how, the trust issues weren't helping in her case. I felt like a mystery box waiting to open up all my secrets to her as if she was a shrink.
But damn hell I couldn't! I couldn't risk her life because of me acting like an idiot. Not at least hers.
"Rakshit?"
"Rakshit?"
"Dumbass?"
"Ya?" My head shot up to see melon grinning at me like a cherish cat
"When I say Rakshit you can't hear but when I say dumbass I get your full attention, hmm not bad haan. You finally understood who you are." Clapping her hands together she looked at me with her grin as wide as she could take it.
"Don't you have a colourful imagination melon?" I snickered this time seeing her lips pouch together in a pout. She looked cute, no doubt in that.
"I know right! I knew that right from the beginning when I had taken part in the interclass drawing competition that was organised by our school and the theme was '" She paused, turning towards the window that showed the perfect view of the city even during dawn.
"And what did you draw?" I cocked my head studying her movement which told me that she was uncomfortable.
"It's okay if you don't want to tel-" But before I could finish she cut me off.
"I drew a picture of all men's behind the bars." She turned towards me with her eyes now shining with tears which immediately made me stand and go near her.
"And you know why? In the attempt of stopping rapes. So that in the future girl's could walk around safely." My hand unconsciously reached to wipe her tears.
"You know what melon? You were and are too forward for your age, you know people can't even understand the meaning of rape and there you were thinking to stop it, I must say. I'm proud of you." I could feel my heart fluttering as my fingers touched her skin wiping away the salted water dripping from her eyes.
"Seeing a rape happen in front of your eye's, isn't something one can forget in any age." The moment the words flowed out of her mouth, my mouth dropped.
Holy shit.
"Melon-"
"It wasn't me, it was my friend. I saw... I saw what that... M.. Monster d... Did to her." Her stuttered words made me clench my fist. This shouldn't have happened not with that girl not with anyone. This shouldn't have happened.
The thought made my blood boil but a weak grip on my hand made me control myself.
She wiped her tears and made herself stable so that she could see me.
"I hit that boy with whatever I could get in my hand and made all the damn efforts to put him behind the bars, I didn't back down until my friend got justice and that's why I had drew that drawing." Before I knew anything, I was hugging her, yup.
Hugging the next door melon or now my current roommate.
"You know what, you are a Queen. A damn queen."
And whatever you went to melon I promise that now not even a single problem would cross your way.
And if that problem has something to do with me then it's end should be with me not with you.
I promise to protect you from my evils at any cost melon, any cost.
