《Jenlisa - When You Realize You Love Her (COMPLETED)》Twenty Three

Jennie just came back from teachers' office to talk about this event the school would be holding soon. She heard some noises not far from where she was standing so she stopped. She looked where the source was from until she stopped into the school hall. She saw these students made a circle, surrounding a student. They seemed to throw something at the female student but that female student didn't do anything. When Jennie could clearly see the whole scene, the female student with a big glasses on her face was seen covered with flour and raw eggs. She was laughed at but she only lowered her head, receiving these acts towards her. Jennie never liked bullies and she was about to step in until the bell rang. That female student quickly ran away and was chased by the other students. Jennie had to let this one slip.
Jennie had finished with the council's stuff and she was headed to the school gate. She heard a quite loud music from an empty classroom which made her wonder because it was after school hour and there would be unlikely students who stayed after. She walked towards the class and she found a female student was dancing. Jennie was stunned, her eyes didn't blink, clearly she was amazed by the girl's movement. What made her more surprised it was the same girl she saw a few days ago, the one who got bullied. Jennie watched closely every move the girl made and she never saw someone dancing with heart the way this girl did. Seeing how intense the dance was, Jennie's mouth was slightly opened and her heart skipped a beat.
Days later, Jennie saw a bunch of male students who seemed like hiding behind a wall. They were laughing to each other. Jennie was about to approach but it happened too fast as she saw that big glasses girl fell hard on to the ground. Her feet got tripped by these male students and they laughed at her. Jennie gritted her teeth and stomped her feet angrily to them.

Jennie's graduation was approaching. She felt delightful as she would become a high schooler soon however the thought of her leaving Lisa slightly burdened her. Jennie knew her name, well she was a part of student council, nothing she didn't know. Jennie felt the need to make sure that Lisa didn't get bullied again.
Jennie slammed her hand on the table at the cafeteria where a bunch of male students were sitting. They sat at the corner, "If I see any one of you dares to bully Lisa again, I will make sure your entire year will be a living hell." All the male students gulped and seemed scared. Jennie was the scariest senior but also adored by many since she had a beautiful face. "Eventhough I will be graduating soon, don't ever think I can't control what's happening here." All these male students could only nod in agreement.
"Everything went just fine." Jisoo said and then proceeded to sit next to Jennie. They were in Jennie's bedroom.
"Thank you." Jennie said as she didn't avert her gaze from the book she was reading.
Jisoo played with her hand as she glanced over Jennie for a few time until she was sure enough to ask her a question, "I've never seen you very protective over someone. Why her?" Jisoo asked out of curiosity.
Jennie looked at Jisoo, "I just don't want her to get bullied. You know she's weak, she couldn't even defend herself. I am just..." Jennie paused for a second, "....worried." she then went back to the book she was reading.
"Oh, so you're sending me to watch over a girl that you have a feeling for? Great." Jisoo smirked.
Jennie quickly looked back at Jisoo, "If you don't shut up-" Jisoo then cut her off,
"Okay okay. I get it. I'll zip up my mouth." Jisoo said as her hand motioned like a zipper on her mouth.

Jennie scoffed, "Moreover you always go there because you've been courting this girl. So how is it going?" Jennie tried to change the subject.
Jisoo sighed, "No progress. I don't even think she likes me for real. She just likes my attention. I actually wanted to stop coming there but since you asked me to watch over your girl, Lisa, then I had no choice."
"Jisoo, I swear to God," Jennie said while glaring at Jisoo.
"Peace!" Jisoo grinned as she rose her hands and made peace signs.
"I like you." Jennie said that one more time as she looked at Lisa's eyes with full affection. She saw Lisa's mouth slightly opened but no words came out.
Jennie really hoped that Lisa felt the same towards her. They kissed three times now and Lisa never rejected her. Wait, she did. Yes she did push Jennie and broke the kiss that time in the bathroom. Lisa then said that she saw her kissing Rosie.
Jennie felt a sudden guilt when she got reminded by that kiss. She was wrong, she admitted that and she wanted to explain that to Lisa.
"Lisa..." Jennie called when she was stroking Lisa's hair gently. "About that kiss...with Rosie..." Lisa seemed nervous but she stayed to listen.
Jennie took a deep breath before she continued, "I watched you and Donghyuk kissing that night and I was really angry. More like I was....hurt. I was in a very bad shape, like I got frustrated but Rosie was always there for me, she gave me attention that I needed. I was flattered so I kissed her." Jennie explained and hoped Lisa would understand.
Lisa's breath became heavy and her heart was clearly hurt upon hearing Jennie's confession.
"I want you to know that I have no feeling for Rosie because I like you, Lisa." Jennie took both of Lisa's hands and held them tight. Her eyes never left Lisa's. It took courage for Jennie to confess and be honest with her feelings as she had been fighting within herself since she was scared with the outcome. But now she just couldn't endure it and she wanted to speak out. She just wanted Lisa for herself and wanted to protect her.
Jennie could feel Lisa's hands trembled under her touch and she was suddenly in doubt that Lisa would accept her love confession as she might have scared her instead. She really had no idea how to confess in a romantic way. But this was her way, the best she could do for now.
Jennie caressed the back of Lisa's hands with her thumbs. She brought one of them to her lips and kissed it softly. She pulled herself and looked up to Lisa's eyes again but to her surprise, she found Lisa crying.
"Lisa?" Jennie wanted to wipe Lisa's tears but Lisa backed out as she shook her head. Jennie's heart beat faster as she was scared that this confession would not go as what she expected.
Lisa slowly pulled her hands. She wiped her tears but the tears kept dropping.
"I-I am sorry. I can't." Lisa covered her mouth with her hand as she kept sobbing.
Jennie froze and she averted her eyes to the floor. She never felt this much pain in her chest.
"Oh," that was all Jennie could mutter.
"I-I can't reciprocate your feeling." Lisa continued while sobbing.
Jennie scoffed as a mockery to herself. She felt so dumb and yet hurt.
Lisa just rejected her.

The American Dream: An Alternate, Time-Travel Timeline
Due to a mysterious transcendent being, United States Marine Corps First Lieutenant Samuel Kim from the year 2016 is thrown back in time to the year 1775. To make matters worse, he wakes up near Bunker Hill, mere hours before the famed Battle of Bunker Hill is set to begin. Realizing the unique situation he finds himself in, the lieutenant takes the opportunity to change the fate of the battle and ensure an overwhelming American victory. Guided by his "patronizing" "God" and the American revolutionaries, Lieutenant Kim embarks on a journey to help America gain its independence and to ensure the nation uphold its "most promising" ideals from the very beginning. Author's Warning: The story is very rough in the first few chapters (and as some readers pointed out, some parts are laughable, such as "American idealism"). However, the pace and quality of the story improves from chapter four and onwards. You will enjoy the story if you have some interest in history, worldbuilding, and the butterfly effect (along with a few badass characters). So even if you are a bit turned off in the beginning, I promise that the story improves quickly.
