《More Than You Realize》Chapter 4: Void Steve is Good?

Rainbow Steve, Galaxy Steve, and I are currently trying to find a place we can kind of settle into while we survive. We found a nice, open plains area with some trees; enough to where we can at least start building.
I was assigned to start the base of the house. I still had some materials on me from my previous time in the Void and all of that crazy stuff. Galaxy Steve was... fishing... I think. Rainbow Steve was getting wood, and I think he was going mining to iron. We needed iron to make traps, and better weapons.
The base of the house was complete. It was pretty big, of course it was holding three people. I decided to take a break. I dug the hole in the ground and replaced every empty space with wood. I needed a break.
a voice spoke. I raised an eyebrow. No one was around. I could hear Galaxy Steve yelling at some pufferfish, about how he would catch them.
I couldn't hear Rainbow Steve, and this voice was too deep to be either Rainbow or Galaxy Steve. I looked around and grabbed the Galaxy Sword from my inventory.
"Who's there?" I asked, hiding the weapon tightly in my hand.
the voice said. Just then, lightning struck right in front of me. I flinched and got ready to attack.
I calmed a small bit. Hint hint, small bit. Void Steve stood in place of the lightning. He just stared at me, not saying a thing.
"W-what are you doing here? Want to turn me over to Slade?" I asked with a little venom in my voice. He began to walk closer, causing me to back away from him. I held the Galaxy Sword in front of me, ready to defend myself.
Void Steve said as he continued to approach me. I froze. My grip loosened some, but I was still able to hold on to the sword.
Memories came back into my mind. My breathing hitched, and it felt like the air was being ripped out of my lungs.
Void Steve said stopping not to far from me. I looked at his red, evil eyes. He did have a good point.
If we kept fighting each other, we would never get rid of Slade. I looked around for Rainbow or Galaxy Steve; not seeing a single one of them. I sighed and put the sword away.

"I hate to admit it, but you have a point. We won't get any closer to defeating Slade if we constantly fight each other. If anything, he'll get closer to his mast plan, or whatever," I said admitting defeat, in a way.
"SABRE!" I heard Rainbow Steve yell in fear. Void Steve and I both flinched and turned to face the multicolored Steve. "GET AWAY FROM HIM!"
Rainbow Steve began to charge at the both of us. Void Steve took a step back. I looked at Void Steve, then back to Rainbow Steve. I stepped in front of Void Steve, blocking Rainbow Steve.
Rainbow Steve stopped and stared at me. He acted like I just betrayed him .
"You've got to be kidding me, Sabre. Now, you want to protect him?" Rainbow Steve asked. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow.
"You do remember you just helped him trap me and Galaxy Steve, right?" I said staring at him with a 'You've got to be kidding me?' face.
He blushed... even though it was hard to see with his red and orange face. He looked away, and don't say a thing.
"Look, I explained to you guys what happened between the two 12 years ago. Void Steve made a good point. We won't be getting anywhere near closer to defeating Slade if all we do is stay at each other's throats. We have to work together," I said, stepping to the side some. I didn't back to far away, incase one jumped the other.
he said looking to me. I stared back at him, eating to hear what he was going to say.
"My strengths and weaknesses? Wait, so does that mean you can help me with these powers?" I asked a little hopefully. He nodded, causing a happy feeling to spread through my body. "REALLY!"
I didn't really know why I was so excited. It was my enemy, or frenemy, helping me to control some powers I never remember having. Somehow, though, it caused joy to spread all over me. I was going to learn to control powers!
I could finally be, somewhat, like the Steve's. Maybe, after I learn to control these powers, I can help the Steve's more.
Being a player, with no abilities, doesn't give them much help, besides my knowledge in red stone machines.
"Sabre... why are you so happy to be getting help from him? He tricked me, took Galaxy Steve AND you away, and he's tried to kill us before," Rainbow Steve said, crossing his arms.

"Yet, you still believed him over me and Galaxy Steve," I said. Once again, Rainbow Steve blushed, and didn't say anything else.
Void Steve said looking back to me. I nodded.
"Agreed. We need to work on getting this house built, so we're not out in the open. After we get that done, then we can work on me controlling these weird powers," I said. I looked to Rainbow Steve, hoping he would know what I was asking for.
"Ah! Yes, here you go Sabre. Plenty of resources to build the house, and enough iron and red stone to supply us for quite a few machines," Rainbow Steve said happily.
He handed me some wood, scratch that, a LOT of wood. He handed me stacks and stacks of cobblestone. Then, he handed me about 4 stacks of iron ore, hat had to be cheating.
He held onto the red stone, only because my inventory was almost full. He has definitely been busy.
"SAAAAAAAAAAAAAAABREEEEEEEEEEEEE!" I heard Galaxy Steve yell. I turned to face where his voice came from.
He came running over the hill, looking straight up and waving his hand around in the air. We all just stared, but this was normal for him.
"What, Galaxy Steve?" I asked calmly. He stopped right in front of me. He crouched down, and began to pant from the running. I waited patiently.
"Sabre!" he yelled again. I sighed.
"What?" I asked.
"THERE ARE NO PUFFERFISH IN THE NEARBY POND! WE CAN'T STAY HERE!" he yelled in my face. A ringing formed in my ear.
Void Steve said facepalming.
"Oh, this isn't even all of it," Rainbow Steve said with a slight chuckle. Galaxy Steve looked over to them before jumping away.
"AH! WHY IS VOID STEVE HERE!" he yelled. Okay, now the yelling was getting annoying.
"CAN YOU STOP YELLING!" I yelled back, holding my ringing ears in pain. He closed his mouth, and didn't say anything else. "Thank you."
"But can you explain why he is here?" Galaxy Steve said much softer. I nodded.
"Yeah. I told you about how Slade and Void Steve worked together to kidnap me years ago," I said. Galaxy Steve nodded. "Well, I also told you how Slade downgraded Void Steve, causing their teamwork to crumble. Void Steve made a point, saying that if we stay at each other's throats, we will never get rid of Slade. He has offered to help us defeat Slade once and for all, and help me control my powers."
"Ohhhhh... okay," Galaxy Steve said with a slight nod.
"Sabre... you need to learn how to control your powers. Galaxy Steve and I will work on the house. You and Void Steve can go a practice with these newly found powers," Rainbow Steve said with a slight smile.
I nodded, and handed Rainbow Steve his materials back.
"Thank you, and make sure Galaxy Steve doesn't make a dirt house. We need to settle, in an actual house," I said with a laugh.
"HEY! MY HOUSES ARE GREAT!" Galaxy Steve yelled, puffing his galaxy cheeks out. Rainbow Steve and I laughed.
"Whatever you say. Rainbow Steve," I said pointing to Galaxy Steve. "Watch him. OKAY! We can go now!"
Void Steve nodded, and began to walk away from Rainbow and Galaxy Steve.
We walked a little bit in silence. The lingering silence was kind of scary. I kept getting a pit in my stomach that was coming and going.
"How did you and Slade meet?" I asked, just so the atmosphere wouldn't be so tense. He sighed; I wasn't sure if it was out of annoyance, or because of the memory. "You don't have to answer-"
Void Steve said. I never expected this from a guy was literally set on killing me not too long ago.
"Why did you pretend to not know who I was, or even hide the fact of who I was when Slade first showed up in the Void? You acted like you knew about someone with powers, but didn't know it was me," I said. He stopped, making me stop as well.
Void Steve said before looking around us.
"Okay! Let's do this!" I exclaimed excitingly.
Sabre... oh dear, sweet, Sabre. You can train all you want, but you will be mine!
He's more powerful than he AND Void Steve realizes. I can't wait to get my hands on such power. I will rule this pathetic world when that happens.
I think it's time to visit Sabre, and capture him once and for all!

My class [Death Knight] is just barely legal...
Ever since meeting his uncle, Arthur has pushed himself daily to achieve an arbitrary goal. He trained like nobody else did, longer than anybody else could. He neglected his personal relationships to pursue something he didn't even understand, in hindsight. When the time came for his class awakening ritual, he was ready. He was ready to receive a powerful starting class and to break free from his boring lifestyle. Well, you know what they say, "Be careful what you wish for, lest your wish be granted." Arthur was assigned the death knight class, which is just barely, technically, maybe legal. With it, he learns about what drove him to such simple minded ambition in the first place: his affinity. Now, he's faced with a dilemma: will he embrace it, or reject it? 'My class [Death Knight] is just barely legal' is a laid back story with occasional tension, that describes Arthur, a young man, exploring the world, the system and his own mental health as he pursues his ambitions. This story is the first serious fiction I ever wrote, so while criticism is definitely welcomed, keep it polite. I'm going to rewrite the first few chapters at some point, since they're not as good as my later ones, but I'm focusing on my current chapters first. I don't have time to do both yet, since I'm also in the middle of my exams. What to expect from this story: -Litrpg elements -A chaotic good aligned protagonist (that starts off as a neutral good protagonist) -(Hopefully) interesting characters. What not to expect from this story: -Grimdark elements -Harem -An enslaved protagonist. (I mention this due to the background of the mc's class) Release schedule: 1 chapter every other day, 2pm European time (14:00) Join the discord here: https://discord.gg/YHZFB4HMHD
