《More Than You Realize》Chapter 11: Alex and Mary

😂
Why do I always get stuck watching a prisoner? Especially while they sleep, it's very boring. No one to talk to, or even taunt. Ty needs to find someone else to watch every single prisoner that steps into this building.
"This is so boring. I would rather jump off a cliff than sit here watching this idiot sleep. He should've woken up by now. He just fainted from shock and embarrassment," I said glaring at Sabre's figure.
As if on cue, Sabre began to move and groan. I felt a pang of happiness pierce through me. Finally! I can taunt this brat!
"Huh what? Where am I? What happened?" he mumbled as he began to sit up. I chuckled, causing him to flinch. He turned his head towards me, so he could see me more clearly.
"Ah, Sabre. It's been a while, has it not?" I asked walking over to him. He backed himself against the wall.
I bent down in front of him. He had his bandana back, and was tied, tightly, around his eyes. He didn't say anything, much to my disappointment.
"Come on, Sabre. Cat got your tongue? Answer me, you brat," I snarled. I slammed my right hand next to his head, and against the wall. I glared into the bandana, hoping to intimidate him.
"N-no! I just don't wanna answer anything that comes out of your sticking mouth!" he said bravely.
"Oof, you got nerves, boy. I'm not afraid to hurt you. Right here, right n-" I began before being, rudely, interrupted.
"Slade... it's not very nice to mistreat our prisoners," Ty said. I turned my head and looked at him. He had a smirk, and his wings were extended to their limit.
"W-who are y-you?" Sabre stuttered. He tried backing into the wall more, but failed. Ty walked closer, making Sabre whimper some.
"Awe, looks like Sabre is a little scared," Ty taunted. "Don't worry, little Sabre. I'll take great care of you."
Ty bent down to Sabre, and motioned me to leave. I raised an eyebrow, clearly annoyed with this. However, I didn't want to disobey my master, so I backed away. I still wanted to see what Ty would do to Sabre, and the suspense killed me.
Ty grabbed Sabre's chin, and forced Sabre to look at him. This was painful to watch. I wanted to be the one he feared. I wanted to taunt him, make him whimper as I near him. Why does Ty have that look that makes anyone do that?
"Ya know, Sabre. You're kinda cute, for a child that is. Underneath this whimpering piece of a child, is a powerful guy. You could help us destroy the world with your power..." Ty said calmly. Sabre glared at him, and didn't hesitate to respond to him.
"Is that your plan?! To try and convince me to join your little clan?! Well, I'm sad to say, that won't be happening!" Sabre stated. Ty tightened his grip on Sabre, making him wince in pain.
"You don't tell me what to do, brat," Ty growled. He calmed down, and went back to smirking. "I do have alternative methods, but you probably won't like them. Either way, Sabre, you'll be apart of this world's destruction."

"I don't get this with you villains. You want to destroy the world, but that'll take you down as well. What will you do then?" Sabre growled. Ty didn't say anything at first, and I thought Sabre actually got to him. However, Ty began going into one of his evil laughters that sent chills down anyone's spine.
"HAHAHAHAH! YOU REALLY ARE NAÏVE, AREN'T YOU?! I know, that you know about PARALLEL UNIVERSES! We'll go there, dear Sabre. With you by our side, not only will we succeed, but you'll live beyond this world!" Ty exclaimed evilly. Sabre shot up to his feet, breaking away from Ty.
"I WON'T LET YOU GET THE CHANCE TO DESTROY THIS WORLD! I WILL STOP YOU GUYS! *sigh* All I want... IS A FRICKING NAME!" Sabre yelled, slapping Ty away every time he tried to touch Sabre.
"You pest!" Ty yelled standing up to meet Sabre. He grabbed Sabre by the neck, and slammed him into the wall. Sabre gasped for air as Ty strangled him. "Fine, the name's Tyler, Ty for short. You will respect me. I will be your master from here on out, got it?"
Sabre wasn't able to get anything out. He was too busy trying to breath to even answer Ty. I really wish I had my popcorn right now. I'm getting a free show.
"Whatever," Ty said. He let go of Sabre, making him drop to the ground. "You'll see, Sabre. I will win in the end."
With that note, Ty walked out of the room. All I could hear was Sabre's breathing as he tried to regain his lost breath. I just stared, and watched as he struggled. It felt good to watch him be in pain.
"Why are you still here?" Sabre asked once he regained most of his breath. I smirked.
"To watch you wither away slowly. I don't care what Ty says. You won't be alive when we destroy the world, and relocate to another universe," I said.
I turned, and began walking away from the weakened Sabre. I felt a pain strike through my heart. Why? What is this feeling?
I ignored it until I was fully out of the room. I don't know why, but I felt bad for Sabre. SLADE! WHAT ARE YOU THINKING! GET AHOLD OF YOURSELF!
I shook the strange feeling away, and began making my way towards my room. I need a nap.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" I yelled as I fell to the ground. Surprisingly, I didn't take any fall damage. Okay, that's weird. I heard some noise, like someone else was yelling.
I grabbed my staff, and looked around for this noise. It kept getting closer and closer, yet J couldn't find where it was coming from. Wait, it's from above me.
I looked up, only to be slammed into the ground. The noise had stopped, but I was in pain.
"You better get off of me before I kill you!" I yelled to the person on top of me. I heard a girly scream, then the weight lift off of me.
"Why was I scared of that? You wouldn't have hurt me!" the girl yelled. I looked over to her, and sighed once I figured out who she was.

"*sigh* Oh... it's you, Mary," I sighed while standing up. I held my staff, tightly, in my hands, but stretched with ease.
"ONLY ME! WHAT'S THAT SUPPOSE TO MEAN, ALEX!" Mary yelled angrily. I looked over to her. Her black and white tail was wagging around. She had her arms crossed, and her white wings were slightly folded to her body. Yep, she was mad alright.
"Nothing, I just thought some random person fell on me. Now, hush. We don't want to attract any attention to ourselves," I said holding my finger to my lips. She glared at me, then looked around angrily.
"Okay, a few things. One, no one is here, so how could we attract attention to ourselves? Two, don't attract attention? If anyone would walk by, don't ya think the tails and wings would attract enough attention? Three, YOU THINK YOU CAN TELL ME WHAT TO DO!" she yelled. I didn't change my bored expression throughout her whole rant. Mary can be, loud, at times, but she really cares for everyone.
"Keep your tail and wings close to you. It won't attract as much attention. By the way, yes. I'm older than you, so I can tell you what to do, little sister," I said with a smirk.
Hi, my name is Alex. Mary is my little sister, but not by much. We are hybrids.
I have purple hair that fades into a light blue; along with a little bit of white on the right side of my hair. My wings were, mainly, light purple, but they turned into a more true purple at the bottom. My tail was purple as well, but a little darker than my wings. My eyes were a dark blue.
I wore, yet again, a purple shirt and a darker purple jacket. My pants had many holes in them, and were mainly earned from battles. Being a hybrid, I also have powers. All of my magic is contained in my staff, which had a turquoise color for the base, and a purple ball at the top.
Many people think we are lying when we say we're brother and sister. Reason being, we look nothing alike.
Mary has yellow hair that faded to a light green, then back to yellow right at the bottom. She had a pink highlight in the middle of her front hair. She had a pink bow that kept her ponytail up. Why she always wears headphones, I don't know. I do, however, know why she always wears an eyepatch over her left eye.
Her eyes were two different colors, and people viewed it as weird. She hated it, so she covered one up.
She wore a yellowish shirt with a dark green jacket over it. She had on a necklace that contained her magic, being a hybrid and all. Her wings were pure white, and her tail was white with a black tip.
"WILL YOU STOP ADDRESSING THE SKY! IT ALREADY KNOWS WHAT WE LOOK LIKE AND WHO WE ARE!" Mary yelled. 'Why is she so mad? This is weird, even for her!'
"Wait, was I saying that out loud?" I asked plainly. Out of the two of us, I expressed the least amount of emotion.
"Yes, you were, dear brother. *sigh* Whatever. Let's try and build a house for the night," Mary said. She flew over to a tree, and began to punch it down.
I really hope there is no one else here. Mary doesn't care if someone notices hybrids flying around. I sighed. No matter how much I hate it, she was right. We need a house. We have no clue what will show up during the night.
"ALEX! STOP STARING AND HELP ALREADY!" Mary yelled. She had already made a crafting table and was crafting pickaxes to gather better resources. 'Dear sister... you're a handful.'
I felt so weak. Everything felt numb, invisible, not there. I didn't feel any sort of spark of hope.
Ty and Slade took me out of the cell not to long ago, after so long of nothing to eat. I wasn't even able to close my eyes for a few minutes before they darted back in to taunt me. If I even started to doze off during their continuous taunting, I would end up with a slap in the face.
Now, I was in some sort of small cage. They put some sort of gas in it to where it would weaken me. It was doing its job alright.
Slade stood right below my little confinement. His arms where crossed, and his smirk took over any other emotion he might be feeling. I looked to my left; seeing some sort of monitors. There was six total. Each had a symbol.
'What do those symbols mean? They look familiar.' I thought weakly. It hurt to think. 'Wait... those are elements. My elemental powers! This might be bad.'
"Hmm... looking at the monitors, I see," I heard Ty say as he entered the room. I looked at him, and gave the best glare I possibly could. "I can see the gas worked. You can't even give a good glare!"
"Sh-shut u-up... Just l-leave me alo-ne," I said weakly. I had to take breaks every now and then to regain my breath. My legs gave out beneath me. I collapsed to my knees.
"I think we should start operation 'World TakeOver' now. It would be a shame to keep this world alive much longer," Slade said turning to Ty. Ty nodded in agreement. "Begin operation 'World TakeOver!'"
I heard more gas enter my chamber, along with some electricity. The gas smelled awful. It made me sick. I began coughing uncontrollably. The electricity surrounded my body, causing a lot of pain.
I cried out in pain, even though I knew it wouldn't help. I blacked out, only seeing the evil faces of Slade and Ty.

Dispatches from the Inter-galactic
Dispatches From The Inter-Galactic is a series of loosely related satirical stories which take place in a galaxy full of various interstellar civilizations and numerous space faring species generally described as consentients. This series is set in a galaxy which take place in a similar but not entirely unlike the galaxy in which my series Up in Space takes place While there are numerous themes related to interstellar life, several of the stories directly relate to specific themes such as; The pan-galactic ramifications to the use of supersymetrical energy sources (often drained from intera-located alternate and pocket realities.) the use of which by most interstellar civilizations is steadily increasing the overall amount of Dark Matter. This is increasing the mass of the galaxy and results in the occasional rips in inter-dimensional space as well as an overall increase in supernova activity. It is also speeding up the approach of the galaxy in Andromeda, which is of concern to several long lived civilizations; The Morphoids, a race of shape-changing consentients who are capable of using the space lanes created by the use of supersymetrical sourced energy to spread throughout the galaxy. They are currently viewed as threat number one by many space-faring species; and Xeno and exo-sexuality, as many species try to figure out what sort of enjoyment they can have with many of the species they encounter in space (only some of which are carbon-based, or more rarely, humanoid in appearance). This also relates to the altering of species to make reproduction somewhat easier for those with rather complicated lifestyles. A major force in this area of pursuit is the galactic visiteering industry, which promotes the ‘uplifting’ of more primitive planet-bound near-consentients.
