《More Than You Realize》Chapter 16: We've Gotta Escape!

It was super dark... wherever I'm at. All I could see were some sort of black crystals. It was like their purity has been corrupted.
I used some of the little power I had to make a makeshift light source. I looked around using the light to help me see better. Nothing...
"Hello?" I called out into the black abyss. Nothing could be heard except my echo. I was terrified, and that's hard for me to admit. "Is anyone out there?" Still, there was nothing. "Please! Anyone! HELP ME!"
an evil laugh rang. I fell to the ground, but kept trying to find the source of this evil laughter. The evil Sabre from earlier appeared in a cloud of mist. I growled.
"WHAT DID YOU DO WITH SABRE?!" I yelled while summoning some energy in my free hand. He laughed, so I fired the energy at him. He disappeared as it hit him.
he said appearing a little bit of my right of where he once stood. I summoned more energy and fired it at him.
"But he's still alive! Where is he?!" I demanded hitting him once again with my energy. He laughed even more.
evil Sabre spoke. I fired more energy at him.
I kept this act up as long as I could see where he was. He kept laughing and throwing around insults. I didn't know how long we've done this, but it was for a long time, apparently.
evil Sabre said with a smirk.
"Master plan?" I questioned as I got ready to fire another attack at him.
he explained. That pushed me over the edge.
I began firing more attacks at him. He dodged every single one; teleporting at just the right moment. Finally, he took his last hit.
He waved his hand just before I hit him with my attack. He disappeared, but a crystal was broken behind him. Then, I saw Sabre once again. I growled and lunged at him. He stared at me, then began to panic when he saw me attacking.
"It's over now, Sabre," I snarled as I got ready to make the final blow. He covered his face and began sobbing. I stopped, but I raised an eyebrow in confusion.
"P-please. Don't hurt me," he said before he moved his hands away from his face. His face lit up once he saw me again. "Galaxy Steve! Please, it's me, Sabre!"
"Oh yeah, like I'm suppose to believe that," I said.
"Please! How can I prove it to you?!" he exclaimed frantically. I thought for a moment. My energy died down and went back into my body.
"Hm..." I hummed. "Tell me what happened the day of your most previous kidnapping."
He flinched a little, then began to laugh. I raised an eyebrow.

"Really? That's it? Well, we needed more supplies, so, like normal, we sent Rainbow Steve our to get some. Before he left, I made you and Void Steve mad. Once Rainbow Steve left, the three of us began rolling around and attacking each other. After that, we went off a little bit from the house and began to train with my powers. We ended up flying around, then you two didn't really know what else to do that day, so we went back. By the time we got back, Rainbow Steve just came back as well. He had so much material, we needed more wood. We sent you out to get it so you wouldn't tell Rainbow Steve about mine and Void Steve's little incident that happened earlier," he said not taking a single breath. I blinked a few times, then smiled at him.
"Alright. It's you dude," I said while getting off of him. I held my hand out to help him up, but he jumped up and hugged me. I smiled softly and returned the hug.
"I was so scared..." he sobbed hugging me tighter. I could barely breath, but I fought through the pain for him. I patted his back, trying to comfort him the best I could.
"It's okay... I'm here, now," I said soothingly. He pulled away from me. "We have to get out of here. We can't let his plans go through."
"But how? We're in my mind! How do you plan on getting out of here?" he asked gesturing to the darkness of the room. He had me there. I didn't really know how to get out, but I wasn't going to show my doubt.
"Where there's a will, there's a way. We can do this!" I said determinedly. He smiled and nodded. "Let's go!"
I groaned as the birds chirped outside, telling the whole world to wake up. I sat up; letting the covers slide down my body. I sat for a moment.
Maybe I can get some more sleep? Eh... I really need to get up.
I slide my way out from under the covers, and I went ahead and made my bed. I opened the door to an unfamiliar silence. Normally some other people are up by now. Whatever.
I went into the main room to look for someone. No one was in there. The only thing I saw was a note. I raised my eyebrow. I picked up the note and began reading to myself.
Dear everyone,
I'm really sorry for my accusations. I really need to clear my ahead. Don't look for me; I'll return when I feel like it. Tell Sabre I'm sorry. I hope you can forgive me once I return.
From,
Galaxy Steve
Something seems off. Why would he do that? It doesn't seem like him.

Void Steve said suddenly. I jumped and yelped out of fright.
"MY GOd you scared me!" I yelled holding a hen over my heart.
Void Steve said with a slight shrug. Yeah, so apologetic.
"What's going on?" Alex asked flying into the room. Mary followed him into the room, but walking instead of flying.
"Galaxy Steve left. He said he was sorry about accusing Sabre of being evil, so he left to clear his mind," I said shaking them the note. Sabre walked in and looked at the note as well.
"Oh... I didn't mean for that to happen. Maybe we should go find him?" he suggested. Something seemed off. I shrugged it off. I mean, it couldn't be anything, could it?
"I don't know. He seems like he doesn't want to be bothered. Let him have his space. Besides, this world is huge. It would take forever to find out what direction his went in," I said placing the note down.
I heard Sabre growl a little, which really shocked me. I raised an eyebrow.
"Uh... Sabre? You okay? Why were you growling?" I asked suspiciously. He flinched, and everyone turned to look at him.
"Oh-uh... no reason!" he said somewhat quickly. I saw some sweat drip from his forehead. I stared for a moment because I didn't fully trust that statement.
"Okay..." I trailed while relaxing my tense body. "So... what are we going to do? Galaxy Steve isn't here, and we have no reason to worry for the moment."
"I don't know. Maybe we could devise some sort of machine to help us know when Ty or Slade comes," Mary said happily. I shrugged my shoulders. It was a pretty good idea. It can be beneficial.
"Sure. Sabre, you know what kind of machine we could build?" I asked looking over to Sabre. He readjusted his bandana. He looked a little nervous. 'What is wrong with Sabre?'
"Uh... I don't really know. It would have to be able to sense something off of them to work. I just don't know what," he said.
This is weird.
Why was it so cold in here? I was freezing. I'm surprised Galaxy Steve isn't freezing himself. I kept rubbing my arms to generate more heat.
"You okay, Sabre?" Galaxy Steve asked holding his little light source next to me. I nodded.
"Y-yeah. I'm just c-cold," I stuttered. "I don't know why it's so cold in here, but I don't like it at all."
I felt something get wrapped around me. I looked over to Galaxy Steve. He used his free to make some sort of energy. That energy surrounded me. It felt like a warm blanket.
"Thanks," I said with a smile.
"No problem. I feel like we're going in circles," he said holding his light to some broken crystals.
"Can't be. We haven't made any turns. We've walked in a straight line," I said. He sighed.
"Then, how did all of this wreck get here?" he asked shining his light at the crystals. I shrugged my shoulders. Suddenly, I saw a flash.
"What was that?" I asked looking for the flash. Galaxy Steve raised an eyebrow.
"What was what? I didn't see anything," Galaxy Steve said looking around.
"I swear I saw a flash of light," I said still searching for the light. I saw it again. "THERE! IT HAPPENED AGAIN!"
"Sabre, I know you want to get out, but I think you're losing your mind," he said. I glared at him.
"I know what I saw," I said before running off to where I saw the light.
"SABRE! WAIT!" his voice echoed as he ran after me.
I skidded to a stop almost immediately. It wasn't because of Galaxy Steve. No, I was seeing the light, but it was staying still. Galaxy Steve caught up to me and gasped when he saw the little light source.
"Sabre, I'm sorry that I didn't believe you, but what is this?" Galaxy Steve asked.
"I don't know... LET'S GO!" I exclaimed before jumping into the light. I heard Galaxy Steve try to object, but he was too late. My eyes went wide once I reached the other side.
I didn't get to enjoy it long because Galaxy Steve fell on top of me. I grunted as I was pinned to the ground.
"WE DID IT!" Galaxy Steve yelled happily. I sighed and forced him off of me.
"You could've got off of me first, dude," I laughed helping him up once I was up myself. He laughed.
"Whatever. Sabre, we made it out... I think?" Galaxy Steve questioned while looking around.
"Yeah, look! That's the trap Rainbow Steve trapped us in when he trapped us for Void Steve!" I exclaimed while examining the trap.
The bottom was dusted with a light layer of sand. Vines began to grow through the sides, and blades of grass began to poke out from the bottom.
"So, were back in the overworld," Galaxy Steve stated. I nodded happily.
"Yep, now we just need to find the others and stop that evil me," I said. I closed my eyes and focused on the auras of our friends. I opened my eyes once I found them. "I can sense them. Galaxy Steve, lets go!"
