《More Than You Realize》Chapter 29: Magical Help

Everyone except the two evil figures were teleported away from the fight scene we just had. Luckily, nothing major happened. Well... except that Sabre just teleported all of us out of there.
We were back in the house, still standing in our little circle we formed around Rainbow Steve and Sabre. We turned to face the laughing six year old. Then, he disappeared!
We all looked around frantically. Then, he reappeared in front of me. He laughed, then disappeared again.
"WEEEEEE!" he exclaimed as he teleported around the house. We all ran around the house, trying to catch him. However, with every try, we failed. "This is fun!"
Void Steve exclaimed as he was finally able to pin Sabre down. However, the victory was short. Sabre teleported from under Void Steve. He sighed and slammed his head into the ground.
"Yes we will... we just have to stop this teleportation," I said reaching out to grab Sabre again. Once again, he teleported away before I could. "The question is how."
"Maybe hold him in place? I mean, almost everyone here has magic. Can't someone do something?" Mary asked. I nodded my head.
I went ahead and charged an attack in my hands. Well... it wasn't much of an attack. All it would do is freeze him in place. We waited patiently, and it seemed that the time it took for Sabre to appear was dragged out longer than the other times.
I didn't waste any time to launch my little spell once Sabre did appear once again. He flinched, and his eyes went wide from shock. He tried to move, but was unable to. He even tried to teleport, but it was to not avail. Tears welled up in his eyes.
"WHAAAAAAAAAA!" he cried loudly. This cry was louder than normal. He all held our ears to block the sudden outburst.
"I DID NOT KNOW HE COULD AMPLIFY HIS VOICE!" Alex yelled over the high scream.
Void Steve yelled back.
Sabre continued to cry. It felt like it was getting louder and louder by the minute. Everyone moment, it hurt worst.
"JAKE! TAKE THE SPELL OFF OF HIM! I WOULD RATHER CHASE HIM AROUND THAN HEAR THIS!" Mary yelled trying his best to cover her hybrid ears.
"FINE!" I yelled back before snapping my fingers. The spell was lifted off of him. Almost instantaneously, Sabre's crying came to a cease. We all uncovered our ears to hear the happy giggles of a teleporting Sabre.
We all sighed annoyingly. He decided to not chase him. He would calm down in due time.
"I'm never having a kid..." Mary mumbled as she laid herself down on the floor.
"You said it..." Galaxy Steve groaned as he laid back next to me. I nodded my head, even though the ones with their eyes closed couldn't see.
"JAKE! JAKE WATCH ME!" Sabre yelled frantically. I turned my head, knowing it was nothing to important. I sighed as I watched Sabre fly around.
"Where did the powers come from?" I asked the others. Each one shrugged their shoulders.
Void Steve said. I sighed.
"I agree with that," I said as Sabre flew over our heads.

"I'm flying!" he exclaimed happily. Everyone groaned in response. He just let out a small giggle.
"Sabre... can you please stop?" Mary asked kindly. A smile made it's way on her face, and she gave him puppy dog eyes. "Pwease?"
"This ain't fair! I can't resist the cuteness," Sabre said as he landed on the ground. He motioned for Mary to bend down to his level. She complied.
We all began to laugh at what happened next. Sabre began to pet Mary like a dog. It was funny, but Mary didn't think the same way we did.
"Good doggy..." Sabre said as he petted her head. She growled in response.
"This isn't funny," she grumbled.
"Oh, it's not funny. It's hilarious!" Alex exclaimed as he continued to laugh his head off. Mary snapped her head in his direction and glared at him.
"It'll be hilarious if I snap you in two," Mary growled lowly. Alex immediately shut up, knowing she wasn't kidding around.
Sabre stared at her after he stopped petting her head. He blinked a few times, then Mary turned to face him. He got scared.
"YOU'RE NOT GOING TO BREAK ME IN TWO; ARE YOU?" he yelled. Mary covered her ears. She let out a small laugh.
"Oh, honey, no. I would never do that to you. I would only do it to my stupid brother," she replied.
"Hey!" Alex protested. That only caused more laughter to go around the room.
Sabre laughed, until his grunt of pain interrupted us. We all snapped our heads to see Sabre rubbing his head. In the floor laid a small book. No one knew what to do.
Do we open it? Examine it? Even touch it? All looked at each other, hoping someone would have an answer to what to do. Luckily, someone spoke up.
"I say we open it," Galaxy Steve said before walking to the book. He picked it up slowly, probably worried if something would happen once he touched it.
Nothing happened, so he was relieved. He walked back over to us, and Sabre ran. He wanted to look at the book as well. Slowly, Galaxy Steve began to open the book.
He didn't get far. The book opened itself and began to produce some sort of magical light. We all stared in awe, except Sabre. He ran behind me. He shielded himself from the bright light.
"Welcome! To the Book of Enchantment! What is it you wish to ask?" the book spoke. THE BOOK SPOKE! WHAT THE HECK!
"Uh... what is this?" I asked. We heard a chuckle.
"What is what? I am the Book of Enchantment! Your pleads brought me here!" the book exclaimed as it got up in my face. The book tilted down to where the pages faces Sabre. Sabre flinched and hid even more behind me. I could see the tears drip from under his bandana. "Ah... I think I see the reasoning for your plea of help. This young one is not suppose to be this young, am I right?"
"Uh... yes. Can you help?!" Rainbow Steve exclaimed hopefully. The book flew away from us with a slight chuckle.

"Not exactly. I can direct you to someone who can, but no farther than that. I don't have any aging powers, sadly," the book said. We all cheered happily.
"Alright! So where do we begin!" I exclaimed happily.
"The highest point in the land, yet the lowest point you can find," the book said with another laugh.
"A RIDDLE!" Alex exclaimed. We all groaned.
Void Steve complained. The book let out ANOTHER laugh.
"I can't be straight forward. Otherwise, how would you learn what you will?" the book spoke before disappearing completely. We all stood, hoping it would come back and help. However, it never did.
"That riddle makes no sense. How can something be high, but low?" Mary questioned. No one spoke.
We all looked between each other. No one knew what to say exactly. This little riddle stumped us all.
"This is bad. We have no clue how to go about this riddle, and we need it done fast," Rainbow Steve stated.
"Yeah. We have to figure this riddle out and get Sabre back to normal," I said before writing down the riddle in a book and quill. "Now, we won't forget it over time."
"Will I ever be back to normal?" Sabre asked worryingly.
"Of course you will. We will do whatever it takes," I said with a soft smile. He smiled back and nuzzled into my leg.
Void Steve yelled suddenly. We all yelped in shock. He looked at us sheepishly.
"Um... it's fine. What do you have?" Rainbow Steve replied. The sheepish look left his face to be replaced with confidence.
he exclaimed. We all went silent.
"Yeah... no," Galaxy Steve said while shaking his head.
"He's on to something," I said immediately afterwards. It did make more sense.
"There's no way that could be true. Maybe I'm just taking it too literally, though," Galaxy Steve said sadly. I laughed a little bit, but I didn't want to seem as if I was making fun of him.
"Dude, riddles are meant to be taken to something further than a literal meaning, for the most part, that is," I explained. My smile faltered a little bit. "But, I don't know what the highest point in this world is. For all we know, it could be on the other side of the world!"
Void Steve stated. I nodded my head.
"But... where would we even begin?" Sabre questioned. Leave it to a kid to stump us with obvious questions.
"Let's just head out. If we don't find it in the direction we're going, we'll turn around and go the other way," Rainbow Steve said.
"Or, we could split up. I can create devices to let us communicate with if we do that," Alex suggested.
"I like that idea!" Sabre exclaimed happily. We all laughed a little at his hyper actions.
"Great!" Mary exclaimed as she walked beside Alex. "I say, me and Alex go together. Galaxy Steve and Rainbow Steve can go, and Void Steve, Jake, and Sabre can go together."
"Not that I'm objecting, but why us three?" I asked gesturing to the three of us. She laughed.
"Is it not obvious? Two of the most powerful people in our group with the one that needs the most protection? Besides, it's a lot of work taking care of a kid. More than one needs to be with him," she explained. I nodded my head, understanding what she was saying.
Alex waves his staff, letting small particles fly from the end. Suddenly, a device was planted on all of our wrists, except Sabre. He looked very disappointed.
"Why don't I get one?" he asked cutely. He tried "cuting" his way into one. This only caused Alex to laugh.
"You can get one when you're older," he joked while ruffling his hair. Sabre's hood fell off of his head. He paid no mind as he crossed his arms and puffed his cheeks out.
"That's not fair! I'm suppose to be older!" Sabre exclaimed. We all got a laugh from that. Sabre groaned and continued to stand in his position from earlier.
"Come on, we don't have time to waste," I said reaching out to Sabre. He sighed, but clasped his smaller hand in my own. I nodded towards Void Steve, signaling to him we were ready to go. He nodded his head back at me.
Void Steve said.
We all exited the house and bidded our goodbyes. The three groups walked in separate directions; not going to be able to see them again till someone finds something, or nothing at all.
I glared at the screen in front of me. However, I couldn't help but smirk. I watched as the big group split into three smaller groups. It was easier for the picking.
"Tyler, you mustn't rush into battles the way you do. It's a reason you continue to lose," the male, who I have still not gotten the name of, said before turning the screen off. I looked over to the hooded guy.
"But they are now easy for the taking. What do you mean I lose? Didn't you lose yourself when your plan to destroy the village failed?" I questioned angrily. He began to laugh, leaving me quiet confused.
"Oh, Ty. I didn't lose. I don't know how you haven't figured out that we are close to winning how we are," the villain replied before beginning to walk out of the room.
"What do you mean?" I questioned curiously.
"I didn't fully tend to destroy the village, that would've just been a bonus. My plan was to lure Sabre out, and alone from his group. I planned to make him young again, because, now, he barely knows anything. He knows we're not the good guys, but he will be easy to manipulate. I planned on the group splitting to find a cure for this "ill Sabre." Ty, everything I do has a purpose," he said before walking out of the room. I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at the evil guy.
"Sure... everything you do is intentional," I mumbled before teleporting to my room.
