I opened my eyes and then I remember 2 weeks ago it was my birthday and I remember really vividly, that I got my own tools for the job, I work with my dad and now I can work full day with him sense it was the first day of summer. I look over at my desk and then look at the little pouch that my tools, and then got up from bed, I then went to the bathroom. *after a bath* I put up my hair and my standard little ponytail, dressed up and then went out and saw the door again. I open the door and after a good minute looking at it I sighed, "You miss her, don't you." my Dad said, I nodded. My big sister Rin, was in Japan in our home town taking her dream university, and ever sense I badly wanted to see her again. "Yea, do you think she will visit someday?" I asked and my Dad shrugged "Only time can tell Len, only time." he said.

"Well this job will take a long time." Dad said and I look at him, he was looking at his phone "The boss said that it could take all summer because the Hatsune's, I think that's their names, want to change their whole house." Dad said. Our job was carpeting for people to put in their homes, "Boys!, breakfast is on the table!" My Mom said, in an instant I run downstairs trying to make sure my tools don't come out the pouch and jump to sit on the table

"Wow, you must be famished." My Mom said and I nodded, I looked at my Dad who looked like he was thinking "Come to think of it, why does the name Hatsune's sound really familiar to me." my Dad said and I shrugged "Maybe you met someone with that name before." I said and my Dad shrugged "Maybe." He said. I then went up stairs after I was finished and brushed my teeth and then me and my Dad went inside in his clean, luxurious truck.

I was looking out the window just looking a really familiar peers, waving at them. "Len, remember just because you turned 15, 2 weeks ago doesn't mean-" "You mess around with the cutters, I know Dad." I said, my Dad has been really edgy with me using this tool even thought I worked for him for straight 4 years. I look up at the sky, or what seem like the dark sky. Rain was really common in where we lived but even thought it's morning it looked pitch black, so dark that Dad had to turn the overhead lights on. "Probably going to storm today." Dad said and I agreed.

'You arrived at your destination.' I overheard the GPS say and then I look around "All I see is pitch black and what looks like, a wall?" I said and Dad shrugged. We both got out of the truck and then we looked around for something "Hey Len, I found something." I overheard my Dad shout and head in the direction. I see my Dad right next to a button, yes I said a button. I press it and then we hear a robotic voice, "Ah, you must be the carpenter's hold on" the female voice said and then we wait. I hear a faint door opening and then footsteps coming closer to where we are.

I then heard a door open and looked around, it so hard to see anything in this pitch black day, all I could see is the lights from the truck and a wall with a button. I then see a figure near the truck "Oh dear, it seems it is going to storm really badly." the figure says which I think is the owner of the house. I stood silent as my Dad was chatting with the woman "Wait, Mimi?" my Dad said and then the woman's eyes were full of surprise "Rinto!" she said as they were talking, then she took us inside, which was a HUGE HOUSE OH MY GOD!. She showed us around the huge house which my Dad was right, this could take the whole summer. Me and Dad decided to start inn different rooms. I started to cut the old carpet inside the hall and my Dad started in the Master room. As I was cutting beside a door the door opened.

Surprised, I looked up and saw a girl with teal hair, the girl looked down, she seemed to be my age and my height. I felt something quickly coming down my nose and then I realize what happened, I look down and saw blood on my shirt. I cover my nose and then looked at the girl, she pointed to a door at least 3 rooms down "Thanks." I said and then quickly ran toward to the bathroom and saw tissues on the sink. Quickly, I took one and shorten it to plug it in my nose and then I look at my hands, red crimson liquid was there so I turned on the sink and started washing my hands, with soap. I turned off the sink and started drying my hands then I heard a HUGE CRASH and then everything went black, I heard a scream from outside so I opened the door, curious of what happened then something threw me down to the floor.

I stood up looking around seeing nothing so I attempt to grab my phone from my pocket but I felt something snuggling up to my hand. I then see a flash of light blind my eyes and then see my Dad "Oh, hey Dad." I said, but my Dad was looking at my arm and then I saw the same girl grabbing tightly into my armWow, she must be really light I thought then I shook my arm a little bit. The girl looks up and then sees my Dad, and Mimi who must be her Mom, and then me. I saw that her cheeks were a slight tint of pink and she then lets go of my arm.

"Miku" Mimi says "Are you bothering Len?" Miku, nice name "No, she was not bothering me Ms.Hatsune, she just got scared of the storm and then, kinda jumped on my arm." I said truthfully. Mimi then apologizes and then heads to the kitchen downstairs. I followed them and saw that Miku, was also following. I looked out the window and Miku looked out another "How long did I sleep?!" she said confused as heck. Heh that was cute. Wait what. There was a strong sound of pitter-patter "It's still morning." I said and then in the corner of my eye I saw that she jumped and then looked at me. I looked at her, her cheeks were kinda reddish, but I decided to look away before I get another nosebleed. I then went to the living room and then went upstairs and looked around.

"It's so dark can't see a thing." I muttered to myself, then I did the most dumbest thing. I took out my cutter and then start cutting the corners and then I did not see my hand in the pitch dark hallway and cut the palm of my hand. "Argh! Ow!" I silently shout to myself and then I hear footsteps Please don't make it be my Dad argh I thought, I closed my eyes waiting for angry shouts. But they never came, instead I hear a door open and I looked up the bathroom door was open. Pain came to my hand again as I was trying to stop the bleeding with my hand How can this work Len you idiot! I thought then I felt my hand getting picked up and then something wrapping around it.

I look up a tear forming in one of my eyes, to see Miku, wrapping bandages onto my hand. "What happened?" she asked and she looked at me in the eyes. I moved my eyes to point and the cutter and she looks at it and then sighs. "Geez, you worried me" She said and she then went into her room and closed it, she was worried about me? I felt my face turn hot and then sighed, wait, someone who I don't know was WORRIED about ME. That thought ran through my head.

"Hey Len can I talk to you for a bit?" My Dad said and I nodded and followed him, trying to not show my injury. "I got a call where I have to be out of state for at least 2 or 1 week and your mother has to follow" He said and I already got questions "Where will I stay?" I asked "You will have to stay here with Ms.Hatsune, plus I will pay you a little extra if you still work." I pouted but not for the reason that I have to stay here "Dad, you know I WILL work even if you aren't here." I said and he chuckled "That's my boy, Ms.Hatsune already knows you are staying." he said and I nodded.

Then my Dad started to pack his tools "Don't worry I will bring some of your things so you won't be bored, plus I saw your bandage, told you." my Dad said and I turned red with embarrassment. And I turned to see Ms.Hatsune a good 1 foot away from my face, making me jump back in surprise "Sorry, for scaring you Len, I wanted to know if you were hungry!" she said "Um not right now but maybe later" I said and then Ms.Hatsune nodded in agreement.

*time skip dinner time*

The power turned on at least 2 hours ago, and I'm struggling to cut this carper Dad makes it look so easy "Kids dinner!" I overheard Mimi shout, so quickly I cut the carpet from the corner and then put my tool away. As I arrived on the first floor I heard a door open from the 2nd floor "Len, I'm going grocery shopping mind if you guys are home alone?" she asked and I shook my head "No, I don't mind Ms.Hatsune." I said "Ok, see you guys later." she said and I waved as she went out the door and then a confused, dazed, Miku came REALLY slowly downstairs. Miku yawned as she came down the table Was she really asleep? its barley 3pm well at least that's what the clock says but outside looks like 10 pm "Where's my Mom?" Miku asked "Going grocery shopping." I answered and silently ate.

After I finished I was about to go back until Miku finally notices something "Hey what's your name, where's your dad?" she asked "My Dad went on a business trip with my Mom just recently he is going to be gone for a week, names Len by the way." I said and then headed up the spiral stairs. I saw in the corner of my eye as I was going up, that Miku was red, I don't know it if was embarrassment or not but I just shook it off. I arrived to the second floor and then started cutting more carpet, making sure I don't cut my hand this time. I realized the buckets was full of old ripped carpet so I got them and started heading downstairs.

I saw that Miku was changing the channel to the huge tv, arriving at the first floor I start heading toward the door and open it. Opening the door, revealing HUGE WINDS AND DARK AND RAIN AND LIGHTNING AND EVERYTHING IN THE WORST STORM EVER. I quickly close the doors and put my back on it, then I see a curious Miku start heading where I was. "Don't open the door unless you want to live." I said probably sounding exaggerating even thought I wasn't, she then moved me out of the way and opened the door revealing the storm again. She closed the door and turned around, her face pale as white paint. I bit my lip forcing myself not to laugh, I open my eyes after forcing myself not to laugh noticing Miku wasn't there anymore I look around feeling something on my arm. I look at my arm once again seeing Miku holding it tightly "Uh, are you scared of storms?" I said "Because I can understand that." Miku slowly nods.

I walk over to the couch still having Miku holding on my arm and set her on the couch, I decided to sit next to her, trying to ignore my face burning for some reason. Miku then grabs the remote with one arm and the other holding my arm, she then turns on the weather channel "This raging storm will last for a good 2 days ending tomorrow at 10 AM." the guy, weather man dude said. "Well that's good." I said with a sigh.
