《Mine (LenxMiku/Lenku/MikuxLen)》9

It's been at least a week. Miku's all better from her fever, but she still can't walk well.
Doctor said one more week should do it. Which is good, because we're in spring break already, and I don't want her to miss out.
Mikuo and I have been chatting privately, plotting cute and fun things to do during the... drumroll please.... festival! Ah, yes, one of my favorite times of the year!
Today's the day we spill the beans.
"Sooo... have you guys heard about the festival-"
"No. Miku can't walk," Len crossed his arms, turning stiff.
Why is he always so protective? Geez.
"Wheelchair! I've always wanted t-to go to a festival!" Miku surprisingly piped in.
"You've... never been to a festival?"
She shook her head solemnly.
We both turned to Len and clasped our hands together, making puppy faces.
"Pleaaaseeee!~" We both said in unison.
Len stared at Miku's swollen, big eyes and winced.
I could hear him mutter, 'damn...' He sighed.
"Alright..." That simple word earned, surprisingly from Miku's side, some squeals and smiles.
"Thanks, Kagamidiot!" She hugged him tightly, still in her wheelchair.
"E-Eh??" Len squeaked.
I... oh my god.
She, much to my despair, released her grip quickly and apologized.
Twirling some strands of teal hair with her finger, she muttered something about 'stupid...' but I'm pretty sure it wasn't about me.
"Sooo..." Mikuo muttered.
"It's tonight," He continued, fiddling with his fingers.
"I... don't have a yukata..." Miku frowned, and sighed.
"I don't have one either," Mikuo muttered, probably thinking that he didn't think this through.
"We'll go shopping, then!" Rin chirped happily.
We all decided that Mikuo and I would go one place, and Rin and Miku would go to another.
As we were driving to the stores, we said our goodbyes and Mikuo immediately turned to me, his seatbelt slightly stretching farther than it should from all of his excitement.

"So?" He said, almost squealing.
"So what?" I asked, brushing my hair out of my face and starting the engine to the car.
I took a sip of coffee that I didn't finish that morning.
"Is my lil' sis hot when she's sick?"
I nearly spat out my drink, but I didn't want to make a mess.
"H-Hot?? Sure, I mean, her temperature was a bit..." I slightly pulled on my comment, trailing off on my sentence.
Mikuo chuckled.
"Dude. You have the hots for her. Bad. Don't you?" What am I supposed to say?
What do you MEAN what are you supposed to say? No, of course! A voice in my head called out.
"No," I said cooly, starting to drive out of the parking lot of the store.
I decided to have some fun of my own.
"Surely you have the hots for Rin though, hm?" I smirked, awaiting his flustered reaction.
"What? Oh, definitely!" He shook his head in awe, sighing dreamily.
"He~? So confident," I muttered, and then parked at the store. It was normal nonetheless.
However, when we we picked out the yukatas, Mikuo was staring at a rose in a flower shop longingly.
"What if we got some flowers for the girls?" He asked in the most normal voice ever.
"Um... okay. I'll get one for Rin and-"
"Oh no, Lenny boy, you should get one for Miku." He wiggled his eyebrows.
"No thanks. I'll just get one for Rin. It's almost flirting. Who knows what'd she do to me..." I mutter the last sentence and he smiled.
"Cmon.... don't be a wuss."
"I am not a wuss," I said crossly, folding my arms.
He left about 500 ¥ for two flowers, one of a lily, and the other an orchid.
"Miku loves orchids," He chuckled, gesturing it to me.

"They were mom's favorites too," He laughed, and then covered his mouth.
My head piped up.
"Yeah... what happened?"
"Its best if Miku tells you."
"She won't tell me."
"Give it time," He says quickly, gesturing the orchid to me again.
I hesitantly took it.
Shoot.
"I'm assuming the lily is for Rin?"
"Of course," I could've sworn I saw hearts in his eyes.
"So many different colors!" Miku exclaimed, looking at the fabrics in awe.
Whenever she's not punching someone, she has such a child-like aura....
Cute.
"Of course." I nodded.
"I'll take the light red one!" She shook hands with the dealer and payed, putting the yukata in her bag, which hung from her wheelchair.
I couldn't handle it anymore.
"Was Len a creep when he looked after you?" I blurted, remembering that Len didn't tell me any details.
"N-No! But I think I acted like a creep..." she tapped her chin in thought, and then blushed lightly.
"I may or may not have accidentally found a book titled 'Journal' in a locked drawer and looked at the latest entry-" I gasped, interrupting her sentence.
Oh my god.
She read it.
"Mystery girl?" I asked, giggling.
She nodded, and sighed.
"He thinks so positively about you, no matter what you do to him. God, is that love or what?" Miku was laughing, but stopped abruptly at the word 'love.'
"I'm gonna stop you there," She said coldly.
"IT is not love. It is merely a sign that he's a very... as much as I hate admitting this, dear friend of mine."
Oh, I'm sure that's pure lies.
Love? What was she thinking??
It's not love
It's not love
It's not love
It's not love
I repeat those words in my head about fifty more times, and we wait on the sidewalk.
"They should be here any second now," she reassured, smiling.
It was about an hour before the festival started, so we waited.
Eventually, they got there.
Rin bought more than she should have, and so was putting tons of bags in the trunk.
Kagamidiot walked up next to me and held out his hand, obviously for me to take it.
I took it gingerly and he helped me up, and into the car.
Rin was right... I'm always being treated like royalty with him... Snap out of it, Hatsune.
He gently places some cushions on the seat before I sit and smiles.
"I was worried it'd be uncomfortable..." He laughed a nervous laugh, scratching the back of his head.
More like too comfortable, I thought to myself, smiling.
"Oh!" He comes to realization about something and his head hits the top of the car roof.
I laugh obnoxiously, snorting in between.
Out of the corner of my eye, I can see Rin being surprised with a lily. She hugs Mikuo tightly and thanks him, smiling.
"Oh, come on.." Kagamidiot chuckles, taking something out oh his pocket.
It's a box. He opens it, and in front of me is an orchid.
"Mommy! Mommy! Mikuo and I picked some pretty flowers for you!" I laughed, and gave her the messy bouquet of flowers.
She chuckled, her hair swaying in front of her beautiful, vibrant green eyes.
"T-Thanks... Len- I MEAN KAGAMIDIOT. NURSE. NEAT FREAK. MORON. CINDERELLA. UGH, I-" He interrupts me by grabbing the orchid and carefully placing it behind my ear.
"Now you're twice as pretty!" Kagamidiot laughs, and hits his head again, much to his embarrassment.
"W-Well, we better get going!" He says quickly, shutting the car door.
Now you're twice as pretty.
