I work for S.H.I.E.L.D and even tho I am a level 8 agent I am or liked. People say I'm cold and selfish when in reality I just want someone to love me

I have been alone for a long time so at this point I don't care that they don't like me but I know that deep down I do care. And especially for my boss Agent Hill

We have only talked when she is giving me missions or I hand her a report but she is so good looking and perfect in every way. I don't know if she is single or if she is into girls

Well any way. Right now I'm sitting in my office. On a bad day. It isn't always so easy to put that cold look on your face especially when the only thing you want to do is cry in a corner. But I finish the report from last weeks mission and walk to the elevator to head up a floor to Hills office

I can feel eyes on me as I walk and when I get into the elevator a few other agents I recognize from lower levels push me around while laughing. I just don't do anything which they seem to find funny. "How can a bitch like you make it higher then me. I'm strong and brave. You are neither. Just a cold bitch"

Even tho I have a great response I stay quiet know if I say something I am going to take it to far. The elevator finally stops and I walk out and head over to Hills office. Unfortunately two of the guys seem to be doing to same

They walk in before me and with out knocking. So when the door closes I knock and I can hear her say come in. I step in and stand behind the guys. "What did you want as for darling" On of them say making me want to throw up in my mouth

"I got order from Fury to tell you two that you are fired and I've two days to leave your office with all your stuff" She say looking up from her computer looking unbothered but when she notice me she close it and look at me. "Agent Y/l/n"

"Here is the report from last week's mission" I say putting it on her desk

"Thank you. I will let you know if there is something else" She say with a smile before she looks at the guys who hasn't left

"Why are you firing us but keeping that bitch around" On of them say

"It isn't my choice. It was Fury and if you want to say something tell him" She say opening her computer again

"She is worthless compared to us. She has no muscles and can probably not even shot a gun"

"She can shot a gun just as good as me you boys know damn well I shot better then the two of you. And muscles doesn't always win. I have seen her cut the throat off of guys three times her size" At that point I have left the office not wanting to hear it any more

I quickly make my way back to my office and sit down in my chair as I break. Tears slowly fall from my cheeks and I can stop them. I sob as I curl into a ball and because of this I don't notice the person in the room until they put a hand on my back

I don't bother looking up knowing I have been caught. I then feel strong arms wrap around me and I slightly look up seeing Agent Hill. I try to whip my tears away not wanting to embarrass myself more then I have already done. But when she whisper comforting words into my ear I break down even more

And well that was the start of our relationship. A relationship we kept from Fury for six months before he walked in on us kissing. Was he happy. No. But was he going to do fire us best agent along with another good one

He just told it to keep it outside of the base. Which we also didn't do but who really cares when I finally got someone to love who loved me
