I woke up the next morning in a great mood. I laid in bed remembering what happened last night, from the kiss, to getting caught and lastly to him asking me out. I immediately smiled at the thought and realised I haven't told the girls yet. I leaned over my bed to grab my phone and I began texting them. After a few minutes they all agreed to come over at 4 so we could all hang out before I get ready.

I decided to get up and get ready for the day. I took a shower and washed my hair. After doing my skincare and blow drying my hair I got dressed. I decided to go with a white hoodie and blue denim ripped jeans. I walked down the stairs and saw my mom on the couch watching the news.

"Hey mom"

"Hiya sweetie. I made you breakfast it's on the counter." She said "any plans today?" She asked

"Yeah the girls are coming over later and I sort of ummm have a date" I said rushing out the last part

"Wait what? you have date? When? With who? It better not be that Ryan kid" she warned

"yes I have a date. At 7 pm. The guy I tutor, Aaron. Remember? And God no mom! I can't even stand breathing the same air as him" I replied answering all her questions

"That's great hunny. Where is he taking you?"

"He said some restaurant. I'm not sure where though" I said "I'm gonna go eat and then clean my room" I continued. I finished my breakfast which was a bagel with scrambled eggs and orange juice.

2 hours later

I was on my bed watching some Netflix. Prior to this my mom came in to tell me that when Aaron gets here I should let them talk for a few minutes. Hopefully she doesn't say anything to scare him off. My mom can be quite straightforward at times. Suddenly I heard my bedroom door burst open and in came the girls running towards me. They jumped on top of me squealing like little children.

"OMG I CANT BELIEVE HE ASKED YOU OUT" Veronica yelled

"THIS IS SO EXCITING" Steph screamed

"I know I was so shocked when he said it. I started laughing because I thought he was joking" I laughed

"Ok well it's time for you to get ready" Veronica said standing up

"What? Already? It's only 4:30" I said confused.

"Yeah and you barely have any time now. You should know this by now" she said and led me to my vanity where I kept all my beauty products.

I couldn't tell if she was exaggerating or not.

"I guess when I was dating Ryan I didn't have this problem because he never really took me out on dates. After school he would take me out for coffee and that was it. It should have been a sign from the start that he was never truly interested in me. So I guess this is my first real date" I sighed

"Awwwwww hunny. Fuck Ryan. He was never good for you. But with Aaron, I can tell he really likes you" Steph said smiling at me through my vanity mirror. I hope she's right.

"Ok let's start then?"

Veronica did my makeup while Steph worked on my hair. They turned me around so I wouldn't be able to see what they were doing. After an hour and a half I was finally done and was dying to see how I looked.

"Can I look now?" I pleaded. They stood back in front of me and looked at each other smiling.

"Yeah you can look now" they said.

I slowly turned around and loudly gasped at my reflection. My makeup was done to perfection and my long brown hair was beautifully curled.

"Woah this looks absolutely amazing!" I said astonished. I walked closer to the mirror and still couldn't believe it was me standing before it. I was too busy admiring their hard work that I didn't hear them enter my closet looking for something that I could wear

"No that's too much for a first date"

"This is cute but it wouldn't go with her makeup look"

"OMG this is it. This is the dress she has to wear. It's cute and fun and it contrasts great against her tan skin" Steph exclaimed. She held up a navy blue dress with red flowers all over it. It had a deep plunge neckline and ruffles.

"You are wearing this! Go put it on" Veronica said pushing me into the bathroom. They were right. The dress looked absolutely amazing on me. I had bought it for a party I was going to go to but ended up bailing last minute. I paired the dress with some black heels and a mini black bag.

"It's 6:45 which means he will be here soon. Are you excited?" Steph asked.

"Yeah but I'm also super nervous. What if he realises that I'm not good for him or I'm not his type or something" I frowned

"Hey that's not gonna happen. You are going to go on that date, have a great time, come back and tell us all about how you want to do it all over again" Veronica said giving me a hug

"Ok" I said shakily. "I just remembered" I chastised "my mom said to wait five minutes before I come downstairs. Something about wanting to get to know him before I go" I said

"Hopefully she doesn't scare him off." They laughed. We continued talking and that's when I heard the doorbell ring.

"HOLY SHIT HE'S HERE" I panicked

"Calm down Sierra." Steph said. I could hear my mom telling him to come in.

"Ok check you have everything in your bag and go to the bathroom if you need to" She continued

"Also if the date goes wrong or it doesn't feel right, tell him you need to use the bathroom and text us. We will call you five minutes later to make it look like you are needed for something" Veronica advised. I nodded my head in agreement.

"Ok I think I'm ready" I finally said

"Great let's go" they said

I opened my door and began walking down the stairs. Knowing my luck I would probably embarrass myself right here by falling down. I walked down the stairs carefully using the banister as a guide. Once I reached the last few steps I looked up and saw Aaron staring at me with his mouth agape. My mom was right next to him smiling her head off. He was wearing a black button up with grey trousers. He looked absolutely amazing

"Woah. Sierra you look..." he drifted off taking in what was before him

"Is it too much? I can go back and quickly change" I began ready to go find something else

"...Beautiful. You look beautiful" he said. I looked down slightly blushing at his compliment. "I also got you these" he said holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers

"Aaron their lovely! Thank you" I said taking the flowers off him, giving him a hug.

"Awwwwwwww" my mom and friends said

"Ok well off you go then. Have fun but not too much fun" my mom said shooing us out of the house and taking the flowers off me.

He held my hand and led me to his car. He opened the door for me.

"M'lady" he jokingly bowed

"Why thank you kind sir" I played along giggling. He walked over to his side and got in.

"Where I'm taking you is a surprise so I need you to put this on." He said holding up a blindfold. "And don't say it's cliché. I know it is. I guess you can say I'm a bit of a romantic" he laughed. I turned around and let him tie the blindfold. I couldn't stop myself for smiling. I could already tell this was going be the best first date ever.
