"Hey mom, I'm gonna head out to the store for a bit!" I yell from downstairs

"Grab some milk while you're there!" she yells back.

I open the front door and get into the car. I arrive at the store and go to the back to get milk for mom and hot fries for me.

I get to check out and then realize Stokeley was in front of me. I hesitate to say something when he turns around.

"Oh, hey Billie." he smiles, "What are you up here for?"

I look at him nervously, "Milk and hot fries."

He laughs, "Oh so you are a hot fry girl?"

I roll my eyes, "Not that bad but whatever."

"Sure, not that bad. That explains why you have 2 bags." he laughs softly

He starts checking out his groceries, "How do you like the neighborhood so far?"

"Pretty good, slightly nervewracking, but pretty good." I say back

"We should definitely hang out some time." he suggests.

"Um. I-I don't really hang out with anyone, i'm kind of a loner girl" I say looking at him.

He looked so dreamy and I knew it was bad of me to think it about him. Billie stop thinking about it.

"We should try and change that, I like making new friends." he says, "Plus you seem really nice and i wanna get to know you."

I think about it for a second and remember what my mom said about not all boys being the same, "Okay fine, my mom and I are having dinner tonight, come by."

"Deal." he says and the cashier finishes checking his groceries out, "I’ll see you in a bit then."
