I get back home after the cashier scans my groceries. "Mom, I invited Stokeley for dinner!" I say from the kitchen putting the milk away.

"That's fine! I'm making alfredo!" she says coming down the stairs. "You and your hot fries." she shakes her head laughing.

"You and Stokeley act like it's a bad thing, they're my favorite snack." I say back

"Okay, you can go upstairs or you can help me with dinner." she says sounding like she might need help.

"I’ll stay down here and help." I smile. about 30 minutes pass and we are almost done when I hear the doorbell ring.

I go to the door and see Stokeley, "Hey" i open the door wide enough for him to come in. "I hope you like alfredo." I laugh softly.

"Are you kidding? Alfredo is amazing." he smiles and we both walk into the kitchen.

"Mom, meet Stokeley, Stokeley, this is my mom" he looks at my mom and they look at each other.

"Nice to meet you Stokeley." she smiles and fixes him a plate. We all sit down at the table.

"Are you going to FLA high?" he looks over at me.

"Yeah, I’m a senior" I smile.

"I graduated last year." he returns a smile and we finish eating.

Jahseh is my bestfriend. He is literally my brother, I tell him everything. He goes by x alot more than Jahseh though.

"I mean x, Ion know if "like" is the word to explain it." I explain.

"Woah woah woah. There's one slight issue. She has a wall built up and I highly doubt I could be the one to break it down." I explain once again.

"Wait..is it that billie chick you hang out with 24/7?" he catches on.

"Y-ye-no" I stutter. Jah gives me a look like he knows I’m lying.

"Ski, you do know that it's really obvious you feel something right?" he asks.

"Look I dont know how I feel Jah! I don't date! I’ve never dated anyone!" I exclaim but keep my temper under control.

"You know you have to let her know right?" Jah says.
