"Head up, Princesa, walk with purpose."
(Princess)
Cole whispers in my ear as we walk into his company building.
The doors are revolving, I've always loved revolving doors. My father had some installed in his building for every time we visited him at work.
I push through the doors, walking in, one heel in front of the other. Hips swaying in rhythm with each other. They teach you how to walk at my job in the club. They want you to show confidence, to show power over yourself. It wards off the creeps, but it attracts the businessmen.
That have business pockets
Cole's pace falling in line with mine, hand still at the small of my back. He gives a small nod to the men standing in front of a stainless steel elevator. Before we get to the elevator one of them, presses the button immediately, opening the doors. Once the doors close, Cole and I are all alone.
"Is this whole building yours?" I ask, staring at the changing numbers on top of the elevator.
"Yes, all 36 floors." He checks his watch.
I could jump on him right there, he just looked so good
"I have to ask," I finally turn to my body towards him just to see him already looking at me, "Why does the gang leader need a company? Is it a distraction? Like money laundering?"
His chuckle is subtle, deep. It bounces off the steel walls of the elevator, then dances in my ears.
The elevator doors open and he attaches his hand to my back again. We walk through the floor, there's a lady at a small desk on the right of the elevator.
She's pretty.
If I had to take a guess, I would say she's twenty-one. Once she hears the footsteps, her head perks up, a dazzling smile crosses her face. Then her eyes catch my mine, the smile immediately falling into a soft scowl. From the corner of my eye, I see Cole staring straight. Nodding at a guard on the left then continuing to look forward. He looks as if he doesn't notice the beauty staring hopelessly at him. Her eyes plead with desperation.
She likes him, and he doesn't notice

The small wave of relief that flows over me is one that I'm embarrassed by. I would be a fool to think he noticed me either. We finally reach a large door, he opens it for me, gesturing for me to walk in. I nod in appreciation, before strutting in.
The office is intimidatingly beautiful. The walls covered in an emerald green that complimented the dark furniture nicely. Couches on each side of the room.
However, the windows that lined the back wall is what caught my eye. I walk forward to get a better look at them. The windows gave a perfect view of the city. The busy people scattering the streets, talking, walking.
Building tops littered the clear blue sky.
"¿Te gusta, Hermosa?" His voice invades my thoughts.
(Do you like it, Beautiful?)
I don't answer, I just press my hand to the cold glass. Cole walks next to me, looking out the window as well
"To answer your question from earlier," He starts, sitting in the traditional office chair, but this one is a green velvet color matching the walls.
"No, it's not money laundering. It is, however, a distraction, but not for law enforcement. It's for the people, the charity events I go to is for the trading that goes on in the building. People know of me as a businessman. They think I'm dangerous, but they don't know why. The world is fucked up, people know that, but it's important for them not to know just how fucked up it truly is." He explains.
His words are like a melody to my mind, he talks in rhythmic patterns. It's very nice on the ears. I nod in understanding.
"Have you ever thought of doing something else?" I ask, gazing a woman talking on her phone outside, she walks past a homeless woman. The woman looks the same age as the one on the phone.
It's a perfect example of two different lives
"Of course I have," He answers quickly, "It's human nature to think and sometimes want what could have been. I think about if my father was a different man. Where'd I be if I was born into a different family? I think about what would happen if I made different choices," He sighs, adjusting his seat.

"But at the end of the day, this is what I have been trained to do. I'm trained to kill,"
"Do you like the feeling?" I turn to face him, his eyes trained into mine with not only curiosity but humor, "Do you like the feeling of a man's life slipping through your hands?" I step a little closer to him.
"Or is it when his blood is splatter on your clothes? Maybe its the look in his eyes as he finally let's go," I reach the other side of his desk, perch my hands in the middle of the desk, holding myself of it.
"Dime diablo, ¿te gusta jugar a ser Dios?" My breathing low, heart-pounding dangerously fast.
(Tell me, devil, do you like playing God?)
Cole leans in further, now our lips are merely inches apart. His eyebrows raise, a familiar smirk settles on his face. He might have had an idea that I could understand him when he was speaking in another language. I would have no way of knowing. However, I can tell he liked it when I spoke to him this way.
"No, Princesa, me gusta jugar al diablo." His words warming my insides.
(No, Princess, I like playing devil.)
He truly is the handsome devil I first thought of him to be
I hear footsteps that I don't think Cole heard. If he did, he didn't care. Just as he leans forward to close the small gap between us. I move away, matching his smirk from earlier. I quickly lean to kiss the tip of his ear.
"I can be a devil too," I whisper just as quick.
I take a few steps from the desk, folding my hands in front of me. Waiting for whoever was approaching the door.
"Abbiamo qualcosa di cui occuparci." Elijah bust through the door.
(Italian: We have something to take care of)
Since when did he learn Italian?
I'm aware that he's speaking in Italian, but I do not know what he said. His eyes drift over to me. I go ahead and pre-roll my eyes because I already know he's on some bullshit.
"Do you think that dress is appropriate?" He asks raising a brow.
Really? Elijah.
"Do you think those socks are appropriate?" I laugh looking down at his poorly hidden mismatched socks.
"Shut up, I was in a rush," He frowns down at me, "Are they really that noticeable?" He looks between me and Cole. I let out another gross laugh.
"I'm going to the bathroom." I smile, walking out.
I actually don't have to go, but I needed to get out of the room.
I walk past the woman at the desk. I can feel her ugly glare through my back. Looking over at the large sign that says 'bathroom' I make my way to it.
The ladies' room has an overwhelming smell of artificial flowers. It started to burn my nose hairs. I think I'd prefer the smell of shit.
I shoot a smile at the guards as I walk out of the bathroom.
"Mr. Egorov, I am trying," I hear a female voice plead as I reach the corner. The feeling in my chest tells me to stay and listen.
"It's hard to seduce this man. I've pulled out every trick sir,"
She's talking about Cole
"I barely wear any clothes to work, I pull out all my tightest outfits. He doesn't even look at me, the only conversations we've had are his emails to me telling me to do his shit,"
I have to cover my mouth as I giggle
"I was starting to think he was gay until he brought this ugly ass girl in today. She dresses like a whore," I gasp softly.
Bitch! That's not nice
"I don't have any personal information just yet. Give me another week sir!" She's back to pleading.
"Yes sir, I can do it in 24 hours."
This is where I step from around the corner. I look her dead in her eye as I walk past this time. I get a quick glance at the burner phone in her hand.
Something's not right, but I don't know what. I'll have to ask the boys about it. Walking through the large office doors, Elijah and Cole are now sitting on the couch laughing.
"Guys," I raise my voice to get their attention.
"Ah, Princesa, come on we have to go," Cole stands up.
(Princess)
"I have a questio-"
"Come on, Rose," Elijah rushes me through the door.
"But wait-"
