Water immediately engulfed Taehyung once he dived into the warm but merciless water of the Caribbean sea. There was only darkness surrounding him and in the chaos of the water, he lost touch to Jimin, the smaller male drifting away from him.
Taehyung opened his eyes, clutching onto his survival kit while the salt burned in his eyes but he ignored it, swimming upwards in the wish to reach the surface again. There was a violent wave crashing over his head and throwing him backwards, tumbling back into the water and a cry left his lips.
Salt water got into his lung, filling it slowly and he felt like he was going to burst but still continued to move, this time against the crashing waves so he wouldn't be hit over again. Taehyung watched enough survival videos to know this. Now his mother wouldn't scold him for watching them on an unhealthy amount because they allowed him to survive.
His head dipped over the surface and he took a greedy breath of air, his lungs finally relaxing before a wave rolled over him. Taehyung came back up and looked around, shouting Jimin's name a few times before spotting the island in the distance.
It didn't seem as far away as he has feared and Taehyung felt hope rise again. 'Small movements, saves energy. Small movements, back and forth, back and forth', Taehyung told himself when he swam forward, long but controlled swimming movements making him move forward. Control yourself and don't rush it. Slow. Slow and controlled and then you'll survive maybe.
Taehyung felt a rush of adrenaline through his veins while he swam away from the ship. He didn't turn around one time, didn't see the sinking ship losing its fight against the unforgiving sea. He didn't saw how mankind lost the fight against nature and how the giant cruise ship became a victim of the sea.

°°°
Taehyung's legs and arms were trembling but he still forced himself forward, his entire body soaked and shivering in the still lukewarm water and he felt like his joints were crusted with salt, he felt sore and his muscles were tensed.
But he was only meters away from the saving island so he forced his hurting body to obey. He was still careful though, a cramp in his limbs the last thing he could use right now. No, a sudden cramp literally meant his death because he would drown before he could recover.
So he slowed down his movements despite his aching wish to feel the saving sand under his feet, nearly crying from frustration when another wave rolled over him, his ebony hair falling into his eyes by it, the ends roughly rubbing over his eyes, the sore skin protesting and Taehyung hissed.
He felt like drowning already despite the fact that his head was over the surface, his lungs were bursting and anxiety was eating him alive. At least he hadn't lost his kit but he was worried whether Jimin would try to reach the island or not. He was worried for his friend but his worry got pushed into the background when he stretched out one foot and felt the soft surface of sand under his feet.
Taehyung nearly collapsed from relief and he almost ran the last meters towards the saving beach, crawling the last parts while the waves rushed over him but he didn't care at all, crawling over the welcomed sand. His fingers were buried into the surface, pulling himself out of the water.
His soaked body immediately collapsed onto the sandy ground. "Oh my god", Taehyung gasped out, rolling himself onto the back while he gasped for air, coughing out water to the side before he stopped all movements and closed his eyes.

"J-just a minute", Taehyung mumbled exhausted, stretching all limbs out and not caring at all that sand was poking into every corner of his clothing and that he just lost his entire baggage and just survived a shipwreck.
Before Taehyung could realize it, he has already fallen asleep.
°°°
When Taehyung woke up again, he blinked into the bright sunlight, feeling very confused before he recalled the horrible day and the survival in the sea. He tried turning his head but his entire body was aching so he just laid there for a moment, feeling drained and exhausted. He didn't know what to do now, search for Jimin or look around?
There was no time to decide on what he should do because a shadow suddenly moved over him. Taehyung blinked another time, his eyes opened and his salt crusted lashes revealed the view to a smiling man.
And it definitely was a man, the stranger having an absolutely gorgeous face with strawberry blonde hair framing a masculine face dominated by a tall nose and angry looking brows, black in color as the same color like his eyes.
The confused male blinked up to the gorgeous male, his tongue heavy from the salt while he just stared at the heavenly being smiling down to him.
"Hello, Beautiful. Welcome on my island", the stranger said with a dark, heavy voice but Taehyung's brain didn't quite catch him talking. He felt dizzy, laying in the sun for too long so he just closed his eyes again.
Giving the stranger the opportunity to investigate the male.
And unknown to Taehyung, a smirk formed on his handsome features, lips parting to allow his tongue to moisturize them while he stared down at the stranded boy, a rare beauty, a breathing ethereal angel laying to his feet.
Now this was going to be fun.

The Mystifying Diviner
Content warning, there is cursing in the story and there will be some pretty heavy sexual innuendos in it also. I don’t really plan to write gore, but there will be fight scenes. Fair warning to readers, it is a slow start. But hopefully it is enjoyable for you to read. Follow the story of an old chef who was lucky to be selected to become a system host. Well maybe not so lucky, because gaining the system killed him. He will be given a system that might not be the best match for him. While also having to deal with a snarky system monitor who might not be that helpful most of the time. He will also use his new found powers to enjoy life in a new younger body. What you can expect from this story is bad writing, poor grammar, and slow pacing maybe. Food, cooking, comedy, slice of life, fighting, exploring, tournaments, scamming and probably face slapping. I mean who doesn’t like a good face slapping? This is my take on a cultivation story, a lot of Eastern stuff will be crammed into with a mix of Western. This story started as a goal for myself to write 60,000 words in a month for NaNoWriMo. I was able to do it even with taking days off and not writing. I plan to keep writing the story, but at a slightly slower pace. I am aiming for 2-3 chapters a week now with about 4-7k words written. This is only posted on RoyalRoad currently, and I have no plans to change that for now. Cover art is by Jack0fheart [Participant in the 2021 Royal Road Writathon Challenge for the month of November 2021]

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
