°Read with dark background for a better experience°
There was a glimpse of moonlight over their heads while they dived deeper into the jungle, following after an oblivious Jungkook who seemed to be in a hurry, a fast pace dominating his steps. He didn't look like he has noticed that he was being followed by two of the passengers, jumping over a fallen tree in his way.
Taehyung tried keeping up with the fast pace, nudging Namjoon sometimes when the male almost ran into something or would trip over something. "Where are you going...", he mumbled to himself while he felt on the edge all the time, focusing on following the suspicious male who seemed to target a different part of the beach as his goal to reach.
"Tae, please slow down a bit", Namjoon panted behind him, he was struggling in the dark since his eyes weren't that good and the only light being the moon illuminating their steps above but the light was hidden through the palms around them and they were left alone in the dark.
"No Joon, c'mon or else we're going to lose him", Taehyung whispered and tried to force Namjoon to fasten his steps. The taller male groaned but ran after Taehyung, feeling anxiety rise in his chest because the palms seemed to whisper under themselves and the sounds of the hidden animals in the dark weren't helping at all.
He could barely spot Taehyung's petite form in front of him and he finally reached out for the boy's hand to clutch onto it so he wouldn't get lose in the large jungle. "Here could be monkeys as well", Namjoon whispered while their steps carried them after Jungkook who seemed to have stopped in his tracks.
"They ain't going to attack you, Joon, relax", Taehyung hissed and stopped right in his movements before pushing Namjoon to the ground. A noise of protest sadly escaped Namjoon before he realized his mistake and quickly dropped to the ground. Taehyung snarled at Namjoon and hit his friend on the back of the head but he couldn't hide how scared he was.

Because there was a possibility that Jungkook has seen Namjoon or heard him. They peaked out from beneath the bush they've been hiding behind, searching for the blonde who indeed has stopped in his tracks, looking around frantically. "Sh sh", Taehyung shushed Namjoon who was breathing heavily if you could breathe this heavily so he pressed his palm onto his mouth.
Taehyung did the same and they stayed in their hiding spot until they grew the courage to look up again. Jungkook has turned around after trying to spot the source of the sound he has heard but after finding nothing, he went on with his path.
"He almost caught us fuck", Taehyung exhaled shocked and relieved while Namjoon looked absolutely shaken and nodded dazed, needing Taehyung's support since he looked like his soul has just left his body for a second. "Hey Joonie, you're okay, yeah? Let's continue walking okay", Taehyung said assuring to calm Namjoon down who was on the urge to a breakdown and they were losing track on Jungkook.
Namjoon nodded shakily, stumbling after Taehyung who found the little gap Jungkook has stepped through. The two quickly hid behind some large palms, their thorns digging into their skin but they didn't care.
Because they have spotted Jungkook who has just returned from the water, entire body soaked wet and his blonde hair was dripping. The moonlight illuminated his naked torso and Taehyung gulped when he stared at the island boy. His body was perfectly formed, with defined abs and pecks moving under sun kissed skin, his biceps bulging when he lifted his arms to wipe his hair out of his eyes, getting back to the beach.
"Did he come out of the water?!", Namjoon whisper yelled towards Taehyung who was fixed on Jungkook's godly form. He not only had these broad shoulders to die for but also a tiny waist leading to narrow hips Taehyung would die to have. But he only had these curvy hips he despised. And Jungkook's thighs were literally no joke, his legs were long and mouthwatering but then Taehyung remembered the creepy aura around the male and he stopped drooling.

"What was he doing there...", Taehyung mumbled to himself, he didn't want to believe that Jungkook was just going for a midnight swim away from the others, there had to be something more! This couldn't be all, Taehyung couldn't be wrong on this! Because he could've embarrassed himself so badly for accusing Jungkook of such horrible things.
"We should leave before he notices us", Taehyung whispered towards Namjoon who nodded and moved back carefully to hide back in the jungle and return to the group.
But Namjoon stepped right on a branch and the loud crunch echoed through the jungle. Taehyung turned pale from the sound, looking to Namjoon with wide eyes who was frozen in his spot, staring back at Taehyung absolutely horrified. "No...", he whispered out, just when a new voice called out for them.
"Namjoon? Namjoon-ah, you can come out now, I know you're here", Jungkook called out, standing near their hiding spot and his wet clothes and hair dripped onto the sand around him, creating a small wet circle around him. Namjoon looked helplessly over to Taehyung.
He has been caught while Taehyung pressed himself more into the shadows, looking as helpless as Namjoon. They were silently debating whether they should run or not but Jungkook came closer and closer, dark eyes trying to spot the intruder. Namjoon's breath quickened when he stood up from his hiding spot and exposed himself to Jungkook.
Taehyung's whispered shout got ignored by him when he boldly walked out into the moonlight, now standing in front of Jungkook. The raven was panicked, pressing one hand over his mouth while he looked around the palm tree to the two.
He couldn't hear what they were talking about but from Jungkook's expression lightened up by the moon, he didn't seem mad at all, wearing a friendly smile on his face while he seemed to question Namjoon who looked caught and started to stutter and answer.
The hidden raven couldn't look at Namjoon's face from his hiding spot, only look at Jungkook's gorgeous face. The moonlight was brightening his cheeks and the tall nose and he looked unreal under this light, almost like a god himself and Taehyung's breath hitched.
Namjoon seemed to relax after Jungkook told him something, both of them laughing and Taehyung also relaxed since it looked like Jungkook wasn't mad, maybe he was really just going for a midnight swim late in the night and he was just a harmless stranded boy lost on this island. Taehyung really believed that.
So he wasn't ready when Jungkook suddenly sneaked his hands around Namjoon's neck, he was too slow to react, his scream caught by the palm of his hand, Taehyung's eyes widened in absolute horror and his entire body was suddenly filled to the brim with ice.
Because right before his eyes, Jungkook broke Namjoon's neck. And Namjoon's body fell to the sand, landing there with a soft thud while Jungkook stared down at him with a wicked smile.

A Dungeon Tested
Its a hard life balancing all the things a successful dungeon should be doing. Will our newest addition to the dungeon race even survive let alone make it to the top where dungeons such as the megafauna roam? Or will our main character suffer in the dust till some inauspicious and ignoble death at the end of some F-rankers sword? Note this is me having some fun while I wait for new releases of dungeon stories. Feel free to comment on that basis. I will be keeping the first few chapters slow so as to give me plenty to build upon later. I have tentatively given this the gore tag for now. With that in mind "Let the games begin".
