Hoseok was gasping for air but all he was getting into his lungs was salty sea water. Waves surrounded his vision, black water threatening bulging all over his sight while he desperately held his head over water, trying to reach the island coming closer and closer with every panic swimming stroke he took.
The sky over him was entirely black, roaring thunder and crashing lightnings in his ears while he paddled towards the saving beach. One hand was coming down to the saving sand and Hoseok released a cry of relief when he heaved himself out of the water and onto the beach, collapsing immediately and crying tears of happiness.
The storm has come out of nowhere, crashing over the sky and sea like a curse and causing the ship to sink. Hoseok was gasping for air, groaning from how tired and drained his body felt but he shot up when he yelled the name of the person who meant the entire world to him.
"JIN!!!"
Hoseok was searching for the love of his life with tears running down his face, feeling so anxious that he didn't even notice the scenery surrounding him, the idyllic place doing nothing to ease his panic.
Because Hoseok has already found his paradise with Jin. Kim Seokjin who was the love of his life, funny, beautiful and absolutely perfect. The ship cruise was a present to their honeymoon, four weeks on a ship despite all the fear they now connected with the sea since they lost their best friend Taehyung after a storm.
After all the traumatic months of searching for Taehyung in the ocean, they've accepted their fate of never meeting him again. Hoseok has been devastated, losing his best friend since diaper days was heartbreaking and it took a long time for him to heal. Jin has never left his side and the two have decided to finally tie the knot, even though their friend wasn't with them. But they knew how happy Taehyung would've been to know that they were now officially married and that was a small comfort for them.

The cruise should've been part of their honeymoon but it all came to an other end as they expected. All of this reminded Hoseok on how he has lost Taehyung and he started crying, sobbing Jin's name while he searched the beach for his husband.
"Jinnie!", he screamed out when he found a sunken figure on the sand and he started running, hoping it to be his husband. When he came closer, he saw that there was another being, a man hovering over the sunken figure and just helping the other up carefully. A beautiful but tired face came into view, plump lips stretched into a groan and Hoseok screamed Jin's name for another time.
"JIN!", he yelled out before reaching the two and it indeed was his husband, looking up by the scream. "HOBI!", Seokjin yelled and opened his arms just when Hoseok jumped onto him, hugging him so tightly as if he was afraid the waves would take him away again.
"Hoseokie, I was so scared! I thought I lost you when that wave crashed over us and separated our hands! I t-thought---", Jin stuttered out, his words ending with a cry while he was holding onto his beloved for dear life, clutching onto him and crying in Hoseok's arms while the younger did the same, sniffling and sobbing into Jin's already ruined shirt.
"I know, I know Jinnie, I was so scared too. But I'm here now, you're not losing me, we still have each other and that's everything that counts, right?", Hoseok mumbled and pressed loving little kisses all over Jin's face who nodded against Hoseok's searching lips until they met and kissed passionately under tears.
"Yes, oh god, I was so so scared... this is like the repetition of what happened with Tae and it just reminded me of everything", Jin whispered and rested his forehead against Hoseok's while the now in front of him kneeling man gently wiped his tears away. "I know, Jinnie but I'm here and I won't leave you. We're going to get through this together", Hoseok promised under tears and only then, he noticed the other presence next to them.

He stiffened, arms tightening protectively around his husband and he slowly turned his head, ready to grab Jin and run away with him. But he surprisingly was met with the timid smile of a young man, blonde hair falling into a tanned forehead and gentle doe eyes nervously staring at him.
"I found him in the water and pulled him out. You must be his boyfriend", the male timidly said while scratching the back of his neck sheepishly. Hoseok narrowed his eyes at the male, he didn't look like he came out of the water, his hair was dry and his clothes already threadbare enough to assume that he wasn't part of the recent crash.
This must be another tourist landing on the island before them. "I'm his husband", Hoseok said, suspicious of the man almost immediately while the young male radiated nothing but shyness but that wasn't tricking Hoseok. He was great at reading people and his be- Taehyung has always admired him for that gift.
"Where are we and who are you? Assuming from your clothes you're here far more longer than we are", Hoseok said, pulling Seokjin closer who was still crying silently, traumatized plus the trauma back from losing Taehyung during a ship crash coming back into their memories.
The blonde laughed uncomfortably. "You're on an island. And yes, I'm a bit longer here than you are. I arrived here the last time a ship crashed and I woke up all alone. You're the first people I'm seeing in weeks now", the boy said, eyes shimmering in a way Hoseok couldn't describe.
But it made him holding his husband away from that boy. The blonde noticed that and threw them a sad smile. "Ah, I knew this would happen. Don't worry, I'm just happy I could help your husband. We should search for other survivors", the blonde said and sat up to get back onto his feet but Hoseok stayed in his position while Seokjin also glanced up to inspect the blonde.
"I didn't catch your name", Hoseok said while Jin's eyes wandered over the boy's form, also feeling suspicious of the male. If he was here all alone... why did it feel like he was lying?
"Oh, my name's Jungkook."
