Jungkook stayed on the brink of the beach for a few more seconds, sighing heavily because he knew what he was doing was hurting Taehyung but he had to be reckless, the fear of being defeated and killed deeply within his heart. He couldn't understand Taehyung's wish to save the humans from their fate, after all, it was them or him.

And Jungkook would rather be a murderer than be killed himself. He has seen how his friends turned into selfish monsters caring for only their survival and he has lost it when his once best friend pounced on him in the wish to tear him apart. They have turned into savages themselves, wishing to flee the island but without being able to.

Jungkook has been the first one to understand the island, to see it as the paradise it was rather than the prison it was supposed to be to his ship mates. He was different, not wanting to escape the peaceful scenery and it caused him to be an outsider as well. Just like Taehyung which was why he also felt so close to the beautiful raven, they were the sides of the same coin.

With just different ways to reach their goal. Jungkook has willingly become a monster, slaughtering his ship mates before they could kill and eat him like they have screamed like animals, offering his life to the island in return for staying. While Taehyung refused to hurt anyone else, still trying to hold onto the pure beliefs of his childhood where he has been protected and taken care of.

Taehyung in fact was like a lamb in a lion's den and he should be happy he had Jungkook by his side who was an experienced lamb turned into the king of animals. He has defeated his once innocent nature and became more powerful than the humans could ever imagined.

Jungkook has won the game and made it his own.

Taehyung on the other side wasn't willing to give up and submit to Jungkook and his sharks just like that. Something told him that this group was important, maybe this really was his chance to end everything, to end the circle and escape from this forsaken island. He had to try, had to reach the group before something horrible could happen.

So he swam away from the sharks after one moment of distraction, hiding behind rocks so they couldn't spot him, hands pressed over his mouth so the revealing bubbles wouldn't leave his lips and he prayed to every god out there that they would swim past his hiding spot. As soon as he saw them coming closer he hid behind another rock and continued this until they seemed to grow tired of searching for him and probably left to inform Jungkook about his absence.

It caused a victorious grin on Taehyung's face when he swam towards the beach and paddled the last meters until his naked feet met the sandy underground beneath him and he got out of the water, clothes soaked and clinging to his body like a second skin, showcasing his tiny waist but broad shoulders and mile long legs that seemed to become longer from the lack of food he has been given.

His skin was glowing golden and he looked like an island beauty with the wild long locks and skinny body but that was just a facade. Because his insides were churning with anxiety and fear.

Once he stepped foot back on the island, Taehyung started to run towards the jungle, glancing around in the fear that Jungkook could possibly spot him or any of his weird animal friends which he also was afraid of. This whole entire island was freaking scary and Taehyung couldn't believe such a place was real, a lonely island in the middle of the Caribbean Sea that turned out to be a human eating trap for everyone stepping foot on the island.

His own prison with its own personal psychopath.

"I'm going to stop him once and for all", Taehyung said to himself, determined to make his promise come true and eager to return back to his family and friends.

"The mean idiot won't win."

But the raven made his plan without calculating that the island had its own will and wasn't keen of the thought of Taehyung leaving and exposing its secrets to the rest of the world.

No, the island after all was the one to gift Jungkook his powers and it has found its pleasures in keeping the fiery male on its property, it didn't want neither Taehyung or Jungkook to leave. Jungkook because he was providing the island with new energy and Taehyung because he was the sweet opposite to Jungkook, cute and entertaining and the favorite of the dolphins.

Taehyung wasn't going to stand one chance against the island, the current place he was staying at and which provided him his life.

The raven escaped this time but when he tried hiding in the jungle. the island started shaking. The ground was trembling, the power close to an earthquake and the group inside the jungle screamed panicked, dropping to the ground from the unsafe floor. The stones surrounding them jumping up and down, the trees shaking from the force put onto them out of the sudden.

Hoseok pulled Seokjin close who screamed and hid in his arms. While Jungkook who has been leading them towards a fountain stopped right in his tracks, eyes hardening because he knew exactly what this earthquake meant. The island was on his side after all and has just informed him that his little Baby broke free and was now currently on the run, escaping from the animals and from Jungkook.

In the desperate wish to reach the humans and warn them about the catastrophe that's about to unfold if they were going to stay any longer in Jungkook's death bringing presence.
