TW: SHOOTING, GUNS, BLOOD, DEATH
Maddie's POV:
It was October 30, 1968, Hallows Eve, the day I was shot to death in my very classroom.
It felt like a normal day, I walked to school with a couple of friends talking about what we were gonna be for Halloween and if we were excited to go trick-or-treating. As we finally reached the school's doors, we walked in not giving a care in the world, not knowing that I wouldn't leave those very doors ever again. We sat in the Café and talked a bit more before we were dismissed to go to homeroom. Walking down the flights of stairs, I finally reached my homeroom and walked in, taking my seat. My teacher took attendance like always, and I waited for the bell to ring. After about 10 or so minutes, the bell rang and I got out of my seat to go to my next class. Once I left homeroom, I walked to my first class, Reading. I loved reading, my friends were in the same class with me and a cute girl I liked too. I finally made it to my reading class, taking my seat and taking out my book for class. After a while, the teacher finally starting teaching the lesson. All of a sudden we heard screams come from outside the room and what sounded like...
I started to panic, someone was shooting up the school! The announcer then came on, telling us that we had to go into lockdown immediately. The teacher then told us to sit in the corner of the classroom and be silent. I felt tears fall down my face slowly as I hugged my friends tight, there was no way of leaving the room either since we were on the second floor. As we all stayed silent, we heard someone pound on the door.

The shooter broke the glass with their gun, they stuck their hand in and manually opened the door. With a quick movement, the shooter was inside the room, gun cocked and pointed at whoever wanted to try and retaliate. I opened my eyes to see it was..
My ex boyfriend, .
He clearly went insane after our break-up, he moved the gun so that it was pointed to me. I stood up, begging for my life but it didn't work. He pulled the trigger and with a loud BANG, I felt nothing as I fell to the floor, blood starting to pool out of my gunshot wounds and onto the carpet below. Screams rang out as everyone else ran, some left alive and traumatized, some didn't leave the school's doors. I sat there, my spirit taking a second to realize I wasn't in my body anymore. I saw the other ghosts of my classmates start going either up or down, but mine was just staying still, not going either up or down. I started to move, floating around the halls as I saw all of the bodies of my now dead classmates lying on the floor, blood leaking from their wounds onto the floor. I couldn't believe it, I was a trapped ghost in a high school.
