TW: Mentions of blood, death by strangling, noose mention
Sam's POV:
I started walking away from the group in the opposite direction, I didn't want to be in this school for another second! The others wanted to keep exploring, but I knew I wanted to get out as soon as we saw Ruby's decapitated bloody body. I walked back down the hall and turned left, going down another long hallway before seeing what looked to be a gym. I had a thought to check out the gym, but I then had a gut feeling to leave. I chose my mind over my gut and tried to open the door, "locked..I should've known.." I mumbled, and I reached my hand onto my head and took out a bobby pin holding my hair back and tried to pick the lock. After about 5 or so minutes, the door opened, I walked inside and turned on the light with the dusty light switches and looked around the huge gym.
Maddie's POV:
I flew out of the workshop and saw that one of them went in the opposite direction from the rest..It must be because of the girl I killed by mistake..but maybe this one may be Jacob? I started moving towards where the other one went and noticed the gyms lights on "The gym? That's a strange place to go..well I guess I'll go get him" I said as I went into the brightly filled gym.
Sam's POV:
The gym was huge, bleachers laid closed and pushed in, basketball hoops were up. "Hmm..I wonder what's in these doors?" I questioned quietly, taking out my lock pick that I had placed in my pocket and picked the lock again. I opened the door, it creaked as I had to turn on another light to see what was in here, there were several gym activities inside. I saw jump ropes in various sizes, basketballs, scooters, volleyballs, and even more. After looking for a while I turned around and left the activity room.

Maddie's POV:
Perfect, I have just the thing to kill him with. I went in and grabbed a large jump rope, this will definitely do the job. I closed the doors as always and went closer and closer to him until I did what I had to do.
Sam's POV:
I was going to leave until the doors slammed shut, making me trapped inside. Before I could turn, I felt something wrap around my neck and start strangling me! I tried grabbing at it, my breathing catching itself, I could feel my face turning paler..I couldn't breathe..my vision was going black, but before it could I was spun around and I saw who was killing me. My vision cut out after that and I felt limp.
Maddie's POV:
I wrapped the rope around his neck, pulling it tighter and tighter and I strangled him. I could hear his breathing catching itself, trying to get some air when he didn't deserve it. I laughed as I spun the man around as his face was paler than a ghost and had a little bit of blue. But when I opened my eyes, it wasn't him..it was the girl they called Sam. I killed another innocent human..I think I'm seeing them as Jacob but they're not. I ended up making a jump rope noose and tied it to the basketball hoops..I felt bad for the second time. I quickly turned the lights off and disappeared..
I felt bad for Sam, but as me and Henry were walking we heard a noise coming from somewhere. We started walking towards the noise before we were eventually in front of the gym. We walked in and turned on the light, seeing a horrible image that hurt my soul and my heart. There was Sam..hung from the basketball hoop by a jump rope noose. Her body was limp, her face a pale blue color and her bright blue eyes turned grey. I could feel my instincts rise as I wanted to leave badly..but I still wanted to walk around the Café just one more time. Without either of us saying anything, we walked away, "" I said quietly..he looked at me and snapped back "WHY THE HELL DO YOU WANT TO STAY HERE ANY LONGER?! YOU ALREADY SAW TWO OF YOUR FRIENDS DEAD, NOW YOU WANT TO CHECK OUT THE DAMN CAFÉ! IM LEAVING THIS GODDAMN PLACE! HAVE FUN!" He said loudly, scaring me a little bit as he sped walked away down the hall and out of my vision range.

Henry's POV:
I left Ace standing there alone. I couldn't believe the guy wanted to stay for another second?! I kept walking before I was swept into the Café by a force and the doors were shut and locked. "Huh? What the hell Ace let me out?!" I yelled. But what I heard next scared the down right shit outta me..

The Way Ahead
What do you do when you don't fit in? Edwin never really felt many connections to other people, but as a physics student, that was fine. He didn't really need it, anyway. He was content to peel back the mysteries of the universe... not that there were many left to find. Modern-day research was just too well-established, too well-trodden for any single enthusiast to make any significant headway. But that doesn't apply to other worlds. Not ones where magic and Skills run rampant, where well-defined roles and Classes dominate much of society with little room for novel experimentation from its residents. That kind of world would be perfect for an overeager, newly-minted Alchemist to make his mark. Things are never that easy, though. The Way Ahead is a very slice-of-life story following the story of someone trying to find his place in a world that doesn't know what to do with him. Expect lots of science, lots of alchemy, a few sarcastic quips by the System, and lots of exploration involving the world, self-discovery, and above all, science. After all, further research is always required. Updates every other day at 9 AM PST. Congratulations! For writing a story during the month of November, you have unlocked the Royal Road Writathon Participant path!

Disclaimer of sorts: I am non-native English writer that used to write mostly for himself. After my last computer decided to die on me taking all my works with it I lost the desire to write for quite a long time. This is my attempt to go find motivation to write again as this was my favourite hobby. The idea is to be held accountable. As for being non-native, I don't believe that should be a major issue as I feel my proficiency in English to be sufficient enough to not be too much of the distraction. That said, be forewarned that the rules governing punctuation are beyond my grasp. All I can do is try not to completely suck at that. As mentioned this is an attempt to motivate me to write again so any message, encouragement or constructive criticism will go long way. The cover was created with the help of http://fantasynamegenerators.com/emblem-creator.php I hope you will enjoy my story.
