《All I Wanted {Book 1}》Chapter 15: The Dilemma

Abby's POV
I can't believe this! We are in NYC! It is so beautiful! Usually Aly is the over excited onebut... OMG!
I can't wait til tonight. Were gonna go to this club called Ice Bar! Even though I don't wanna go but I don't wanna be a kill joy.
Were at the Holiday Inn waiting for Joe to come and show us around. For some reason I am feeling really restless. And I can't wait to meet him.
While were here i'm not even gonna even think about home. Or the fact that Nick probably broke up with Megan because of me. I know you can't just jump to conclusions but it isn't hard to connect the dots.
We were sitting in the living room part of the hotel room watching tv and waitingfor mom to give us the okay to go.
It was me, Aly, Nick, Greg and of course Cassie.
Greg and Cassie were sitting across from each other but I caught their longing glances. I shook me head and motioned for Aly to look. She smiled and whispered.
"Looks like someones getting laid tonight." I rolled my eyes at her at smiled. She is so profound! Sometimes its hard for me to believe that her family actually goes to church. Aly wasn't allowed because last year she said that Mary Magdeline was her role model. She tapped me on the shoulder and whispered.
"Looks like those aren't the only longing glances going around." She turned back to the tv. I was really confused and didn't know what she was talking about UNTIL I looked at Nick and noticed he was staring at me.
But what was weird was when I looked at him he didn't look away.
I put my hand on my neck and blushed. So embarrasing! He smiled. And our awkward moment was interrupted by none other then my mother.
"Okay guys... And girls! Let's go." Everyone started getting up and Aly yelled.
"Well its about time!I was getting sick and tired of watching fan boy and chum chum." I laughed and said.
"Hey! Josh Duhamel plays one of them!" She shrugged and we went down to the lobby.
When we got down staires there was a man waiting for us. He had spiked black hair, and nice brown eyes. He looked like he was in his late thirtys. And I have to admit for his age he was a honk!
My mom had a huge grin on her face when she hugged him.
"Hey Joey!"
"Hey yourself!" I rolled my eyes and walked up to him.
"So is this the famous Joe i've heard so much about?" He smiled and said.
"Wow! You look so much like your mother it's creepy." I took that as a HUGE compliment! He's got my vote!
He gave me a hug that made me smile. It reminded me of my dads hugs. I pulled back and he smiled.
"Well who is this beautiful young lady?" He turned to Cassie and I swear her face looked like a shiny red apple. She smiled and Greg rolled his eyes.
"Oh stop!" He gave her a hug and I could not wait to see what he was gonna say to Aly.
To my surprise she walked right up to him and said.
"Look mister Joey. I know your dating my other mom and all but... Let's not get crazy." And with that she walked right past him and out the door. I shook my head and Greg looked really proud of her.

This is gonna be a LONG day!

"Wow! Abby you look amazing!" I twirled around and said.
"You like it?"
"Like it? I love it! Look aat you all grown up in that short skimpy dress! And without me forcing too! I am finally starting to rub off on you."
We were going out so I decided to go all out.
I put on a black dress that had a v neck and stopped at my thigh.
I had on some fishnet stalkings and some really pretty black heels.
Maybe I should dress like this more often.
"Come on. Let's go before they start a riot out there." I nodded and threw on a black coat that was the same length as the dress. Even though it was June its still cold outside.
When we stepped ou of the room Greg and Cassie were waiting in the hallway.
"Where's nick?"
"He's lookiing for his wallet." I nodded and fluffed my hair. I hate waiting. He finally came out then said.
"I couldn't find it. Let's just go." When he said that Aly lost it and yelled.
"Oh. My. God! You had us waiting out here for a wallet and you didn't even find it!" He looked shocked and I grabbed her arm.
"Ally!"
"What?" I gave her a look and said.
"We wern't waiting that long." She rolled her eyes and scoffed.
"You know what? I don't even care! Let's just go!" I swear she has been in and out of it all day! If she wasn't crazy i'd think something was bothering her. I shook my head and we started walking.
~*~
When we arrived at Ice Bar. I took one look at the bouncer and turned around.
"There is just no. Way!" Greg and Cassie started laughing. And Aly grabbed my shoulder.
"Come on Abs! When was the last time you did something crazy?"
"Um. Wait. Let me see... THREE days ago!" Greg scoffed and said.
"Please. Don't remind me." I glared at him and turned back to Aly.
"Look even if I did want to go in. Which I don't! There isn't even a chance that he'll let us in there." As soon as I said that. Someone smacked the side door open. No way!
I shook my head no. And Aly nodded. Then pulled me through the door.
I covered my ears. And we all sat at an empty table. I couldn't even hear myself THINK!
"This place is so loud." Aly pulled my hands down and said. "Do not give me that!" I rolled my eyes and started to scope the place out.
It wasn't half bad. They had staires on each side of the club that led up to a sitting area and some pool tables.
While I was looking around this older guy set next to me. ME! Why me?
"Hey. What's your name?" I looked at him in utter disgust and said.
"I'm sixteen." He looked at me then at Greg who had a KILLER glare going on and said.
"Later." Aly shook her and I was wandering why she didn't say anything to him.
"Hey Cassie! Wanna dance?" She smiled and nodded. Then they left. Aly tapped my shoulder and said.
"I'm gonna try and get a drink. Catch you round." Then it was just me and Nick. He came and sat next to me then said.
"First the guy at the party guy, then kegger guy, and now him?" I smiled and answered.

"What can I say? Guys just like me!" He smiled and said.
"You have no idea." What did he just say? I looked at him confused. He didn't catch my gaze seeing as how he fixated his eyes on something else.
I looked around and saw Aly dancing with some random guy. Then I saw Greg and Cassie practically having sex in a dark corner.
So I decided to have fun too.
"Hey, Nick?" He looked at me and said.
"Yeah?"
"You wanna ditch them?" He looked unsure then shrugged and answered.
"What the hell." I smiled and we walked out of the front door. It was kinnd of smokey and it smelt like ice and cheap cigars.
A few people walked by and I smiled at Nick.
"Where to?" He shrugged and said.
"I don't know. Let's just walk." So we did.
We walked for about three ten blocks then I saw a store that said 'Eddies' The name wasn't really appealing it was the lights that came from it.
I grabbed Nick's arm and pulled him across the street.
When we walked through the doors all I could say was 'Whoa' I mean it was just an art gallery but it was the biggest one I had ever seen! And i've never even seen one! I was just standing there in awe. When some red headed lady walked up to us and said.
"Would your girlfriend and you like a tour of the gallery?" I looked up at Nick wide eyed and he shrugged. Why on earth would she think... And then it hit me. We were actually holding hands.
I don't really remember grabbing his hands. But it felt... Nice.
We said no to the lady and started to walk around.
Just to clarify we were no longer holding hands... Boomer.
My cell phone started to ring. And I answered it.
"Hello?"
"Where. The hell. Are you?"
"Well Alison if you must know. Me and Nick decided to leave."
"What? You left me? Abby how could you?" Nick leaned into the phone and said.
"Her idea. Not mine." I think he was scared of Aly but I can't blame him she can be scary when she wants to.
"Calm down we just took a walk."
"Well you should have told me. Plus. Your mom said to meet her at the hotel." I sighed and answered.
"Okay. Were on the way." I hung up the phone and turned to Nick.
"We have to go."
We caught a cab back to Ice Bar to find them but they'd already left. So we went back to the cab and got in. I forgot the name of the hotel and Nick had no idea what it was from the beggining while we were trying to figure it out the cabby yelled.
"Look kids i've got places to go. Make up your minds." I glared at that fat punk and Nick said.
"Well you know what? We'll take another cab." He shrugged and said.
"I really don't care. But you two still owe me some money." I started digging through my coat pocket and Nick did the same.
I looked at the cabby and said.
"Yeah. I don't have any money." I had a sorry look on my face and Nick said.
"Uh... Me neither." The cabby freaked out and yelled.
"WHAT?" I got out of the cab and started walking really fast. Nick got out on the other side and started running he grabbed my hand and that's when I noticed that crazy bastard was chasing us!
We ran for like two minutes when he finally stopped chasing us and yelled.
"I'm gonna get you two!" We turned a corner and ran somemore and I stopped and started laughing uncontrolably.
Nick looked at me in awe and then started laughing as well.
I stopped laughing and looked around. I had absolutely NO idea where we were but is was beautiful! It looked like the park from one of those spider-man movies. You know the one where he fought the new green goblin.
Nick tapped me on the shoulder and I looked him in his sparkling blue eyes. I know this is what guys usually say about girls but... He was beautiful.
Why did I have to mess everything up and start dating Abe? I can't be in love with to people. That's just confusing.
I cleared my throat and sat down on the grass. He followed me and sat down.
I looked up at the sky. There were a million stars in the sky and of course many more. There was a full moon and it sorta made me think about thriller. I looked at Nick and said.
"This is beautiful." He looked at me and smiled then said.
"You like this?"
"Well. Yeah." He looked up at the sky and I looked at him. What is it about him? He looked down at me and I turned away I was not about to blush again. He laughed through his nose and said.
"This the kind of date that would get you laid." I faked mock shockness and put my hand on my chess.
"You mean I'm just a late night booty call?" He laughed and said.
"Well I didn't say that but..." I playfully punched him in the chest and he laughed. I sat directly in front of him and said.
"Do you know what this moment needs?" He looked at me confused and I said.
"Music!"
"Abby that's really nice but where would we get it?" I pulled out my iPhone and pointed at it.
"Right here!" I went to music and put it on shuffle. 'Young Blood' started to play and I said.
"I love this song." He smiled and I lied down and he just stared at me.
"Lay down with me." He shook his head and laid down.
I looked at the sky. I was so very happy right now! A new song came on and I sprang up. It was 'Come Away With Me' by Norah Jones. I stood up and said.
"Dance with me." He stood up said.
"Why?"
"Because this is a perfect moment and I wanna dance."
He pulled me close to him and slid his fingers through mine. My whole body started to tingle.
We started to sway with the music and I layed my hed on his firm chess.
He smelled thee exact same way he did that night except he added a little after shave to it. His chin was resting gently on my head.
While I was lying there I noticed something really strange. I was dancing with Nicolas Walker. My brothers best friend. That actually kinda freaked me out and I slowly pulled back.
He looked me in the eyes and I felt like he was looking through the very core of my soul. I couldn't take it anymore. I started to lean in and he happily went the rest of the way.
When he kissed me my heart did a thousand somersaults and bolts of electricity ran through my body.
It was perfect. He was perfect.
Before I knew it he was sitting on the groung and and I was sitting comfortably on top of him.
My hands were rubbing through his hair and his hand was slowly moving up my leg. While we were making out like there was no tomorrow my phone started to ring. I sighed. What is it with people and ruining things? I snatched the phone off the ground and answered it.
"Hello?"
"Abigail Charlotte Jenkins!"
"Hi. Mom."
"Don't give me that I suggest you get your butt back here now!"
"Listen mom we... Uh... Got lost but we'll be there soon k?"
"Abigail you can give me every excuse in the book but you in Nick are gonna be in big trouble." Then she hung up.
I got up and fixed my dress. Nick got up and asked.
"What happened?" I looked at him and said.
"Were in trouble." He shook his head and I suddenly remembered the name of the hotel.
~*~
When we got up to the room my mom was furious! She caught a hissy fit and said that me and Nick weren't allowed to do anything else until tomorrow night! Seriously? Talk about harsh.
I was sitting on the bed totally bemused when Alison sat next to me.
"Hey, what's got your pannys in a wad?" I laughed through my nose at that silly saying and said.
"N-nothing its just..." I sat up straight and turned to her.
"I kissed Nick." Her eyes got big like really big then she said.
"Seriously?"
"I am seriously. Serious." Her shockedness turned to a smirk and she said.
"How was it." I grined from ear to ear and answered.
"Like magic! It was so extreme and I have to admit Nick kissess way better then he looks. But that's just not the point. The point is I kissed Nick and i'm with Abe." She rolled her eyes and spaced out for a moment.
"How come you didn't tell me you liked Nick again?" I looked her disapointed in myself. I mean she's my best friend and I should have told her but... She was so proud of me when I moved on and met Abe. We even went on her dream double date.
"Because... I know you'd be disapointed."
"I wouldn't be disapointed in you. I'm your best friend not your mom! And besides if you really like him... You should go for it." She had a reassuring smile on her face.
"But... What about Abe?" Her smille faded and she looked me right in the eyes and said
"Abby. Listen. There's something you should know."
"About what?" She sighed and then answered.
"Abby... Nick loves you and... What kind of friend would I be if I let you run off with no good Abe and miss out on that. Just tell Abe you didn't mean to fall in love and... I don't know."
"I can't. He loves me." She scoffed and I said.
"I don't know I need time."

Gamer
This story is abandoned and has not been authorized for distribution on any sites but RoyalRoad. Given the Gamer ability after shattering a crystal inside a game, Jon's world is upturned as he is thrown into a life he considered fantasy. Making new enemies and encountering a god, he cannot escape the quest which is forced on him. Different worlds and different situations, can he come out on top? He's neither perfect nor a saint, he is Jon. Welcome to Gamer. This has been dropped, I didn't like the way I forced a few plotpoints and I lost my notes on the story itself. Read below if you want to be spoilered. As far as I recall, he would change race into a higher human after using a spell to overload his mana repeatably until his body forcibly adapts, he would train up his rift usage spell with some better targets than God's Realm because he keeps hitting his stats limit until the cost lowers enough that he can actually grind it. His world is being invaded by multiple worlds, so the god had many backup plans where a lot of people went into their own fantasy settings and came back to defend Earth. Jon never is the strongest one out there, he has to keep grinding and grinding before he gets stronger than the other heroes, and at that point the invasion is nearing the final stretch. Jon's two biggest advantages is that he can keep grinding without hitting a cap he can't evolve, and that even when he is eventually killed. He would have respawned in the nearest 'Safe Zone' after dropping a level and everything he did to gain that level. I also had a bunch of ideas for mini-arcs where he would play in multiple worlds in multiple situations, not that great of an idea in retrospect.
