Abby's POV

I groaned at the sun shining through my window. I'm not usually this sencitive its just last night I didn't really get much sleep. I pulled my blanket over my head but it didn't work. The sun was annoyingly bright today.

I sat up and looked at my clock.

"Great. 7:30." I sighed and went to the bathroom.

When I came out of the bathroom and went to my room I saw an over cheerfully Cassie grinning at me.

I looked at her confused and she said.

"I am so glad your up! Otherwise I would have dragged you out of the bed." I smiled at her and sat on the edge of the bed.

"What for?"

"Were going to have breakfast at Jenny's." She smiled and I looked even more confused.

"Who? Us and Greg?" She smiled and said.

"No Abby! Me and you!"

"Really?" She nodded.

"Me and you?"

"Yep. Just us two girls... Mingling." I laughed a little and said.

"I hate that word."

"Sorry I mean... Talking. Now get dressed and let's go." She walked out of the room and I shook my head.

"This should be interesting."

"Ewww!" She laughed and I flicked a burnt mushroom off of my plate.

"I thought this was a breakfast resteraunt. Where on earth did that come from?" She picked it up with her fork and raised it to her mouth.

"Don't eat it!" She laughed and after gawking at the mushroom I started laughing too.

We both stopped laughing and started eating.

"So... What's the real reason of you dragging me out here?" She smiled and said.

"Greg didn't wanna bothered and I was lonely." I smiled at her and she said.

"So. How are thing's going with you and Abe?"

"Fine I suppose. We went to the movies last night and saw The Change-up." She smiled and said.

"Cool. I've been trying to get Greg to take me to see Fright Night. He won't." I smiled and rolled my eyes.

"He'll take you. Trust me." She started eating and I don't know why but for some reason my brain wandered off to Nick.

Last night I was pissed at him. I was sick and tired of people ragging on me about my v-card so I decided to ditch it. Abe said he wanted to and I was gonna let him. That's when Nick came. I didn't have a problem with eating Ice-cream with Oceana its just Nick could have did something to help. Instead he played along like an ass.

But you know... What really got me was. As much as I yelled at him... He didn't yell at me back. I have to admit I was half expecting him to jump back at me but he didn't.

"What brought that on?" I looked up at her confused.

"What?" She narrowed her eyes at me and said.

"Abby your smiling like a kid that just got his first happy meal."

"I wasn't smiling. Really. I wasn't." She smiled and said.

"Whatever." If I was smiling then I didn't know it.

"Hey Cassie?"

"Huh?"

"Your Nick's friend right?"

"Yeah. Why?"

"Well I was wandering if maybe. I don't know. He said something about... Me?" She looked at me confused for a minute and then said.

"He never talks about you at least not to me. Maybe he does to Greg. You should probably ask him." I nodded not really sure why I asked her anyways.

At first I believed he didn't care but now I'm not really sure.

After a moment of her sitting there looking dazed and confused she said.

"Wait. Why would you care?" I was lost for words. I didn't know what to say. I hate lying to people. Should I tell her? If I'm gonna tell her then I might as well tell it all.

I sighed and decided to go the truth way.

"Okay. If I tell you something will you promise not to tell anyone. I mean anyone. Especially not Greg." She nodded and started telling her everything. Like how I first started liking him when I was twelve. How I kissed him when I was fourteen. I still don't get how I could forget something like that. And when we kissed again in New York.

By the time I finished she was sitting there in awe.

"Wow. So like you liked him for five whole years and you didn't say anything?" That came out like more of a question then a restating the obvious to take it all in.

I shrugged and answered.

"Yeah. And now I don't know what to do. Will you help me? If I asked my mom she'd just tell me to figure it out on my own. And I can't."

"I'd tell him. Even he was with somebody. I mean so are you so what have you got to loose. If he rejects you then... You have Abe and... The rest of the human population." I smiled at her and thought about it. I mean what have I got to loose?

"So. Did you too have fun?" We walked in the living room and I sat on the couch next to Greg.

"The bestest." I smiled and Cassie sat on the other side of him and gave him a hug.

We were just sitting there when I started to look around.

"Greg? Where is Aunt Juliet? I havn't seen anyone around lately." He shrugged and said.

"Mom and her are gone off visiting family and Ava's doing whatever."

"And Taylor?"

"He's with his mom. Of course. But they should be back soon." I nodded and the door bell rang.

I thought it was Ava but when I opened it. It wasn't.

"H-hey." He looked at me and all of sudden I felt like running. I don't know why but I was extremely nervous. My heart started beating and I started to pace back and forth.

Gosh! When the heck did he start knocking? I looked down at the floor.

"Is your brother home?" I looked up at him and gulped.

What on earth is wrong with me? I htried to say yes but every time I brung myself to speak nothing came out.

I just stood there and started to bite my lip. I slipped my hands in my back pocket and wanted to die.

Greg came over to me and Nick was looking at me like I was crazy.

"Abby?" I looked up at Greg.

"Huh?"

"Are you... Okay?" I nodded and answered.

"Uh huh. Bye." And then I went upstaires to my room.

I closed my door and started whining as I threw myself on the bed.

I am so retarded. And what was that all about anyways? How am I possibly gonna tell Nick how I feel in this condition? I sighed and someone knocked on my door.

"Can I come in?" I turned over and drowned my face in my pillow.

"Sure." I wasn't sure if they heard me but they came in anyways.

I layed there and heard a fimiliar laugh. I lifted my head up.

"When did you get here?"

"I practically live here." She grinned at me and sat on the bed.

"What's got your jocky's in a bunch?" I sat up and ran my fingers through my hair.

I couldn't have answered that questin if I tried. What was wrong with me? Down staires. When I saw him. My heart skipped a beat and I felt butterflies in my stomach like never before. I shouldn't... But I do.

"Alison. I think..." I trailed off and sighed.

"Oh no. You found out?"

"Yeah. I did. Did you really know this whole time?" Her face fell.

"Yes. But... I wanted to tell you. Its just..."

"You wanted to tell me? Why didn't you? You could have saved me the hassle you know!"

"I know."

"I can't believe all this time... I loved him." Her head shot up and she looked shocked.

"Wait. What?"

"I said I'm in love with Nick." Her eyes widened and she sighed.

"Oh! I thought... You actually love him?" I nodded.

"That's the only logical explanation. Wait. What did you think I was talking ab-" My door swung open and Ava walked in.

"What's up loser." She walked over and threw her duffle bag on the floor.

"What the hell?"

"I'm staying here for the rest of the summer. And so is Taylor. I talked my mom into it. After some begging she let us stay."

"But why would you want to stay here? You hate me."

"I have my reasons. And they do not concern you." I gasped and put my hand on my chest.

"Well." I turned and looked at Aly and realized that she was just sitting there staring at Ava wide eyed. What was her problem?

I guess Ava was offended or something because she put her hands on her hip and said.

"Who the hell are you?" My mouth droped and Alison blinked as if bringing herself to reality.

"Excuse me?"

"Who. The hell. Are you?" I sprang up and covered her mouth. Knowing Aly this was bound to become something WAY bigger then it was.

I grabbed her and drug her out of the room then closed the door behind us.

"Don't do it." She rolled her eyes at me and said.

"I wasn't about to do anyhting. Who was that girl any ways?"

"She's my cousin. Ava." Her eyes widened and she spaced out. I stood there for a minute then tapped her on the shoulder.

"Are you okay?" She blinked and smiled.

"Yeah. I'm fine." I smiled and said.

"Good I thought you were gone for a second. You wanna go down staires?" She smirked and said.

"So we can stare at the love of your life? Yeah I saw him down there." I glared at her and held my hand up.

"Do not say it." She laughed and said.

"Abby and Nick. Sitting in a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G." She started yelling the rest and I wanted to kill her!

She started running down staires and I tried to grab her and almost fell.

"Come on Alison! Don't start this again. At least not now!" She didn't listen she just repeated it and ran into the kicthen. And I wasn't to far behind. She hid behind Greg and I tried to pry her from behind.

"Geez you two!" Greg remover her hands from around him and I folded my arms and shook my head.

"Your so childish." She smiled and said.

"And your so-" I clasped my hand on her mouth and mouthed 'Don't' She sighed and I moved my hand.

"Hey sunshine!" I felt arms wrap around me and I turned around.

"Um... Taylor. I'm not your sunshine." He let me go and I smiled at him.

"That's okay. I'll find someone else. Someone like..." He trailed off and looked Aly. She scoffed and rolled her eyes.

"Keep dreaming." I laughed and Greg patted him on the back.

"Taylor. She's your cousin and she is way out of your league. Don't you have any pride?" I laughed and said.

"Yeah right." I turned around and saw Nick leaning on the counter.

I can't believe I didn't realize this before but he is really quiet, and sweet, and loving, and what am I saying?

I blinked a few times and ran my fingers through my hair. I noticed him smiling me. I half smiled back.

I sort of turned around and looked at the floor.

"Well I'm off. Tell my mom bye for me." I turned around and saw Ava all dressed up. I chuckled and said.

"Where are you going?" She narrowed her eyes at me and said.

"Don't worry about it. Bye!" And with that she was gone.

I rolled my eyes and shook my head.

"Taylor. How do you live with her?" He shrugged and went to the living room. That's when I realized Greg and Aly weren't in the kitchen anymore.

I sighed and looked over to the counter.

"Ooh." I smiled and grabbed a brownie. I bit into it and saw a note on the counter top.

I read it and smiled.

"Whats' that?" My eyes got big and I jumped. I started laughing and said.

"I'm sorry Nick. I forgot you were in here." He smiled at me and I stopped laughing.

Why is he looking at me like that? Like I'm some godsend. I hate him staring at me like that. Geez. I'm a wreck today.

Greg and Cassie walked in the kitchen and I looked down at the floor and felt my face burn up.

"Were sorry. We didn't mean to..." She trailed off and Greg looked at both me and Nick. We stood there for a minute and I quickly broke the silence.

"Mom's gone."

"What?"

"She went to New York... For the week." He nodded and I looked at Nick and half smiled.

"I'm gonna go back up staires." I walked over to the swinging door and turned around.

"Those are good." I pointed to the brownies and Greg shook his head and smiled.

"Hey. Its me Abby."

"Oh hey babe. How are you?"

"I'm fine but do you think you can come over tonight? I'm bored and I wanna see you." He sighed in the phone and said.

"I'm sorry I can't tonight. But how about I come and see you tomorrow?"

"Okay." I smiled and heard a girl's voice in the background.

"Who's that?"

"Uh... Nobody. My sister." That's weird. I thought he was an only child. I started to ask him that but he interrupted me before I could.

"I have to go. I love you." I smiled and said.

"I love you too." He hung up and my bedroom door flew open.

"We need to talk."
