《Baby boy》Chapter 17

Sitting on the toilet seat top as JoJo took a bath I played with my fingers in deep thought.
"Daddy".JoJo called out making me look over at him.
"Wassup baby boy". I ask and he held out the basketball to me.
"I bet you can't make it". He said as I took the small wet basketball from him.
"How much you got on it".I ask smiling down at him.
"Two fruit roll-ups". He said and I laughed because he didn't know I was about to take the last few fruit roll-ups.
Tossing the ball I make it into the hoop and he looked at me in shock.
"Okay, one fruit roll-up". He said trying to change the bet.
"Nah son you can't change the bet but check it I'll let you have the other one and we can eat it when you get out the tub". I said and he nodded smiling.
After he got out the tub and got dressed we sat in my room watching Spider-Man eating our fruit roll-ups and some other snacks.
"I love you, daddy". He said causing me to look away from the movie and down at him.
"I love you too". I said leaning down kissing his forehead.
We continued to watch the movie in silence talking here and there.
Looking down I see that he was sleeping so I cut the tv off when I got a text from Yvette telling me she was on her way so I got him ready while he was sleeping.
After a while, I hear a knock on the door. Looking through the peephole I see that it was Yvette so I open the door.
"Them niggas still at yo fuckin house". I asked and she jumped from the door being swung open.
"No and I had no idea he had those people at my house". She said looking down.

"Wait right here while I go get him". I said closing the door.
Walking back to my room I grab his bag and pick him up. Opening the door I hand her his bag first and then him.
"I didn't ask Rodney to come to my place Jodie he just showed up there and he won't leave". She said fixing JoJo in her arms.
"I don't believe that shit you was running your mouth about how you wanted a man in the house and now you got him". I said mugging her and she looked sad.
"I ain't ask him to come Jodie and I'm not fucking him if that's what you thinking". She said with a sigh looking off before looking back at me.
I didn't say anything but look at her.
"Look man the car broke and the engine needs fixing". She said smacking her lips.
"That ain't my problem have yo nigga get it fixed". I said mugging her.
"How many times do I have to tell you that I didn't invite him over there Jodie I keep asking him to leave and he won't leave". She said looking at me with sad eyes.
"You should have thought about that shit when you were answering his phone calls". I said and she shook her head.
"Are you serious right now Jodie"? She asked staring at me.
"Fuck off my doorstep". I said slamming the door and locking it.
Going into my room I close the door and lay on the bed.
Opening the umbrella Sharika let me use I walk back over to the car getting in.
"What happened girl". She asked looking over at me and I broke down.
"He was tripping about Rodney being at the house". I said sniffling as I looked straight ahead.
"It's okay he'll come around". She said rubbing my back.

"No, he's not you should have seen his face Sharika he don't love me no more". I said crying harder into JoJo's jacket.
"It's like he could do all that shit and as soon as I mess up one and it's not even on my accord he's mad and completely done with me". I said holding JoJo tighter.
"He does love you girl he's just mad right now how did you think he was going to feel about Rodney being around his son". She said and I shook my head.
"I just want to do home". I said lifting my head and looking over at her.
She nodded and pulled off.
Pulling up outside of my apartments I get the umbrella and step out.
"Thank you girl". I said before closing the door and making my way upstairs.
Unlocking the door I turn around and wave at her and she honks before pulling off.
Closing and locking the door behind me I set the umbrella down.
"Where the fuck you been". I heard Rodney say from behind me causing me to jump and turn around.
"Where the hell you think". I said pushing past him going to my room.
"Your baby daddy still acting like a bitch". He asked standing in the doorway and I took off JoJo's jacket and putting him under the covers.
"Watch your fucking mouth and get out". I said pushing him out of my room.
Before I could close the door he grabbed my arm and I tried to push him away.
"Get your damn hands off of me". I said pushing against his chest.
Grabbing my face harshly I wince in pain and he took that as an opportunity to kiss me and stick his tongue down my throat.
He finally let go pushing me back forcefully before walking away.
Quickly locking the door I wipe my mouth and get in bed beside JoJo. Laying down he cuddles up to me and I wrap my arms around him as tears fell down my face.
Why can't Jodie just believe me...

Dungeon Scholar
Girl meets dungeon. What could go right? A story of a good-hearted Scholar driven by her compassion and curiosity. She might be a little combat averse, but um, isn't that only logical? Love me a good grimdark, but sometimes I want to read feel-good fiction that isn't pure action, romance, or comedy. The plot and characters of Dungeon Scholar won't be all happy and fluffy, and the world will be more dungeons and monsters than rainbows and puppies, but overall the sweet moments should overshadow the bitter. Let's say three dollops of sugar for every pinch of salt, with lemon slices left on the saucers? Enjoy. Note: This is NOT a typical dungeon story. If you are here for the dungeon aspect, then fair warning this will seem incredibly slow-burn to you. The dungeon will eventually become the most important 'character,' arguably, or the second-most important narratively, but you might jump out the window in frustration long before that happens. At its heart, the story's core remains 'girl meets dungeon,' not 'dungeon meets world.' (To be clear, this does or will have a plot! It's just the more conventional story-like elements contribute to Rowena Loress's greater story, not the other way around; no conflict takes center stage until it becomes personally significant to her. Meanwhile, have some Slice of Life.) Updates every Friday Cover made using Waifulabs Written using 4thewords (referral code: UZJRY55368)

Economicalopoly
Humanity had gotten this far. How far, might you be wondering? Quite far indeed. The world had effectively become an ecumenopolis, almost; not in real life at least, in Economicalopoly of course! More on that later, in our story the main character is Charlie. Charlie was an exceptionally talented young man, the key word being 'was'. He was an incredibly unmotivated individual who generally steered clear from other 'Homo sapiens' as he put it. This was all because of an accident he had early on in life, when he was but 15 years old.
