Minutes later, the two girls found themselves in front of an Imperial ship yard. The cement walls towered high over their heads. The wings of TIE Fighters met their gaze. Ania quickly used the Force to jump atop the wall. She scanned the shipyard until her eyes rested on the Ravager. Her B-wing was in the center of the yard, surrounded by AT-ST's.
Ania slid off the wall. "The Ravager is being guarded. They expect me to come for it," she whispered.
"They don't expect me." Tolsa smiled mischievously. "What if I go in and try to steal it? I'll distract the troopers while you get to the Ravager."
Ania smiled slowly. "Why didn't I find you sooner?"
"Probably because I was never allowed to leave. Let's go!" Tolsa moved towards the wall.
Ania quickly lifted her to the top of the wall, before jumping up herself. Together, they slid to the other side. Ania passed one of her blasters to Tolsa. She ducked behind the wing of a TIE and began to wait. Tolsa strolled confidently towards a stormtrooper. "Hey, there! Is that the Ravager?"
"Hey, you can't be here. This is a restricted area!" The trooper hollered.
"Oh, really? My bad." Tolsa whipped the blaster up and shot the trooper. She ducked behind a TIE and motioned for Ania to go. The distraction was working. Stormtroopers rushed towards Tolsa. Ania jumped on top of the TIE and began to work her way towards the Ravager, jumping from ship to ship.
She landed on the Ravager's wing and silently opened the emergency hatch. Her feet made no sound as they touched the metal floor. She quietly crept along until the mutter of voices halted her. "This has got to be the most boring job in the Galaxy," a stormtrooper groaned.
She heard a clank as armor struck armor. "Shut up. This is very important! We have to stop the merc from taking back the ship and escaping!" Another trooper admonished.
"A merc? Come on, boys. Is that really the best you can do?" Ania lounged against the doorway, casually cleaning her fingernails.
"It's her! Blast her!" One of the troopers yelled. They both fired stun rays at her. Ania whipped her shoto up, blocking both shots. Its white blade hummed.
"Not a good idea. This is my ship. I know it better than you do. Who knows how many traps I have in here," Ania drawled, creeping closer to the stormtroopers.
"Don't come any closer or I'll blast you!" One of them hissed.
"That didn't work out so well for you before. What makes you think it'd be different ten seconds later?" Ania lunged forward, deactivating her blade and hitting the trooper in the side of the head with it. She pulled a roundhouse kick on the other, sending him sprawling to the floor. Ania quickly prepped the ship and lowered the ramp as Tolsa barreled towards her.

Tolsa ran aboard the ship and strapped herself in. Ania quickly pushed the troopers out of the ship with the Force. She slid into the pilot seat and lifted off, just as the AT-ST's aimed their guns at her. A blast from behind jolted the ship. Ania flipped a switch, activating the shields. She quickly input coordinates in the navicomputer.
"Ania, what are you doing?"
"There's no way we get out of here without significant damage to my ship. I can't lift off any further. They've got gravity locks on us. We're going into hyperspace, right now." A beeping told her the coordinates were locked. "Hang on to something!" She activated the hyperdrive and watched the AT-ST's stretch abnormally. A rainbow of colors swarmed them as stormtroopers ducked for cover. The Ravager burst into lightspeed, leaving a flaming shipyard behind.
Tolsa collapsed into her seat, panting. "Are all your...take offs...like this?" She gasped.
"Not usually," Ania replied through a dry mouth. "I'm amazed we haven't died."
"Well, that's reassuring." Tolsa stood rather wobbly and stretched.
Ania pointed to the bunk above hers. "Get some sleep. It'll take a day to get to Lothal." She entered the room and fell onto her own bunk. She was asleep too soon to see if Tolsa actually listened to her.
An altar.
A knife.
Yellow eyes and cracked skin.
The vision repeated, over and over. A dark eyed man with bleeding red tattoos and a woman with green hair. She knew the woman, didn't she? It seemed that in this reality, she didn't know. Who was she again? Why was this important?
The yellow eyed and grayish Togruta lunged for a man, green lightsaber flashing. The man blocked her with a blue saber of his own. "Ahsoka. Ahsoka, listen to me. He has done something to you. Snap out of it. This isn't you, Ahsoka!"
Ahsoka. That name sounded familiar to her. She continued to watch. "Isn't it? I feel more like myself than I ever have. He asked me to give you a message. He said if you didn't join him, he will kill me," the young Togruta, Ahsoka, said laughing cruelly.
"I won't let him."
They were gone. She looked at her own hands. They were grayish orange and cracking. A lightsaber appeared in her hand. "This isn't you, Ania! Don't do this! Let me help you!" She looked up. The blue eyed boy was there, his own green lightsaber angled towards her.
Ania? Who was Ania? She met the boy's gaze. "I don't know who you are. How could you possibly know me, much less what I'm capable of?" She lunged at the boy and swung her blade through him.
Ania woke with a gasp. She quickly checked her hands, sighing with relief. They were orange and smooth, as usual. Tolsa peeked her head down, lekku swinging in the air. "Are you ok? You were muttering in your sleep."

"Uh, yeah. I'm fine. Visions. They happen a lot," Ania quickly said, brushing it off.
"Well, I checked the navicomupter a little while ago. We're almost there," Tolsa said. She swung her feet over the bunk and jumped down. "You sure you're ok?"
Ania nodded. "Like I said, visions are common for me." Tolsa gave her a long glance before heading to the cockpit. Just not visions like that, Ania added to herself.
A few minutes later, Ania was easing the ship out of hyperspace. She quickly scrambled the ship's code and flew them through the planet's surface. They landed in a grassy field with no towns in sight. Ania turned her seat around and grabbed her comm.
"Let's hope he answers," Ania said.
"Who?"
Ania tweaked the code in her comm, hiding its frequency so no one would be able to intercept it. "Ezra Bridger. Come in, Ezra Bridger. This is Ania Tano." Muffled static was the only reply. Tolsa gave Ania a questioning look. "Ezra Bridger, do you read me? This is Ania Tano." More static, and then,
"Ania?"
"It's me. I'm on Lothal as a fugitive of the Empire. Where is Ahsoka?"
"She's off world right now, due back in a few weeks. Where are you?"
"Transmitting coordinates." Ania quickly hooked her datapad into the comm, transferring their location.
"Stay where you are. Kanan and I are going to come escort you." The comm went silent.
Ania leaned back in her chair. "Well, at least I'll be able to settle in somewhat."
"Assuming they let us stay. These are your Rebel friends?" Tolsa asked.
"I wouldn't say friends. I was their prisoner last year. Ezra helped me escape." Tolsa gave Ania a hinting look. Ania rolled her eyes. "Please. That will never happen. You'll understand when you meet him."
"Hopefully that's soon." Tolsa settled back in her chair and watched the horizon. Soon enough, a small shuttle appeared. Ania checked the ship through the Ravager's system.
"That should be them," She said. Sure enough, the shuttle landed in front of them and two familiar figures exited. Ania stood and lowered the Ravager's boarding ramp. With Tolsa at her side, they met the two Jedi.
"So, what's the story here?" Kanan asked.
Ania slung her bag off her shoulder and pulled out the Jedi holocron. "My former master took me to the ruins of the Jedi Temple beneath the Emperor's palace. I found this. It showed me the truth."
Kanan took the holocron and inspected it. "How did you manage to open it? Only Jedi can do that."
"From my studies, anyone who can use the Light Side is capable of opening the holocron. Did Ahsoka tell you anything about me?"Ania asked.
Kanan glanced at her shrewdly. "She told me enough. How did you get off world?"
"I had help from an old clone. He told me about Order 66 through a recording on this datapad," she handed the pad over to Kanan. "He was killed before he could tell me in person. I couldn't stay there anymore, not after Vader told me who my targets had been." She closed her eyes, grimacing. The sting of betrayal still gripped her. "My targets were all escaped Jedi or suspected Jedi sympathizers. I never even knew."
"Why come to us?" Ezra butted in.
"I had no where else to go. There's more, but that's for Ahsoka to know. She's the only one who would understand," Ania explained.
"What about her?" Kanan motioned to Tolsa.
"Tolsa Lee, sir. Ania rescued me from Feton Ralius and left part of his base in flames," Tolsa said proudly.
"She's Force sensitive," Ania mentioned. Tolsa quickly levitated a rock to confirm.
Kanan glanced at Ezra. "I don't know. This doesn't feel like a good idea. How do we know we can trust you?"
Ania sighed. She grabbed her lightsabers and blasters, handing them to Kanan. "Aboard my ship you can find Imperial Access Codes, secret bases, mission data, and more. Have your technicians download the data you need. Keep my weapons until you know you can trust me."
Tolsa stared at Ania, dumbfounded. "I thought you mercs never parted with your weapons!"
"A lightsaber is the life of a Jedi," Kanan murmured, eyes hazy as though recalling a memory. "All right. We'll take them with us and talk to Commander Sato about it, at least until Ahsoka arrives."
Tolsa stepped forward. "Please, I was wondering if you could train me. My powers aren't strong enough to do much, but I'd like to know all I can."
Ania leaned over to Ezra. "She's been Feton's slave since she was 13. She wants to be able to protect herself," she whispered.
"She could train with me," Ezra offered. "You said it yourself, Kanan. I might learn better if I practice with another."
"All right. We'll teach you what we know," Kanan said to Tolsa. She grinned. He turned to Ania. "As for you, I'm not letting you out of my sight for one minute so I guess you'll have to join us. Maybe brushing up your skills will be good for you." Kanan turned back to their shuttle. "Come on. We'd better get going."
Ezra glanced over his shoulder at Ania. "You're a Rebel now," he called as he boarded the ship.
Ania turned to the Ravager, but was unable to hide her smirk. She boarded and quickly took off, following the two Jedi towards the Rebellion.
